SALT SEVEN Ratings and Reviews
Reuben is the absolute best server we’ve ever had. We’ve had him twice and each time it has been amazing. The food is very consistent. We were a little disappointed that there was no sushi anymore but were thankful that at least the truffle Mac & cheese was still an option.
Have to say we were unimpressed. Restaurant seems to be set up to have large parties not tables of two. We shared a bunch of different things and for the most part everything was tasty, we didn't realize the lobster was fried so I was a little disappointed but it was good. The crunchy tuna seemed to have very little tuna and I wish it said there was wasabi mayo drizzled over it. Kinda ruined it for me. The restaurant seems to draw a late night crowd with the front outside being very crowded.
If you want to get in on the "scene" in Delray Beach and eat Salt Seven is the place to go! In the heart of Delray Beach and all the night time activity it's a lively spot, good food, lots of people watching, but not intimate or a place for conversation! Later turns in a dance club, (Saturday night), packed cheek to cheek!
Heard they stepped up their game with a new chef who was the winner of "Hell's Kitchen" and they did not disappoint! We had eaten at SALT a few years ago and they had good food but we were really impressed this time. Next time we are in town we will go again.
From start to finish we could not have asked for a better dinner. We arrived a little early and since it was summer in Florida and they were not as busy as in full season, they were able to seat us right away. Our server was very polite and knowledgeable about menu and the new chef came and introduced himself. Great all around!
Haven't been to salt in a while but heard they have a new chef which was the winner of one of my fave TV shows "Hell's Kitchen" so I had to try it. The food was a 10, service a 10, ambiance was an 8 (just because it's so loud) but that didn't stop us from having a great night! We will be back and can't wait for menu revamp.
Heard about this new chef who was the winner of "Hell's Kitchen" and had to try some of the nightly specials before the new menu rolls out. We were in love! Everything was great and Chef Paul came out to see how everything was. We couldn't have felt more welcomed. We will be back to try Chef Paul's new menu in the next few months!!
Had reservations and put us 4 people at a 3 people straight table that was looking at window not each other. It was for two people. We could not even open menus at the same time and one person was sitting with table next to is. We were all in a straight row so no one could really talk to each. We asked for another table they said no. We go here a lot so was so upsetting. We order drinks then we're considering leaving. They finally open other side and let us sit there which they should of done in the first place . We were almost never going to eat here again. Food was so over priced for what we got. We go to high end restaurant all the time and this was not at their level for the price of over $300.00 . fish was so small on one plate and everyone got different sizes and was the same dish. Service took forever. No bread! Menu was different as well.
The restaurant is very, very loud. The waitress didn't offer us the fine out Delray menu. There were no choices to speak of an absolutely no substitutions. After we ordered we sat for a while waiting for the appetizer. No bread or anything was offered. I'm glad I was paying a reduced price or I would have been quite upset. I will not return to this restaurant
The meal was wonderful. Exceptional tastes and flavors. Our server could have been a tad more informative in providing a description of the items on the menu. The privacy room would have been nicer if it was enclosed from the rest of the venue. But 5 stars to the food and cocktails!!! Amazing new menu. Great atmosphere.
Went on a Friday evening in July. Lots of tables outside under an awning with cool mist fans where you could experience the upbeat vibe of downtown Delray Beach (watch and hear the street noise). The food was absolutely delicious but very pricey. Appetizers came in small plates (example-2 scallops) about $14, large plate (example - 4 lollipop lamb chops ) about $25. I don't recall exactly. There were 3 of us , we had 2 appetizers to share (2 scallops and 4 lamp chops), a steak, the skillet shrimp and the grouper. We each had 2 cocktails. The bill came to slightly over $300. So plan on an entree, an appetizer and 2 cocktails to be about $100 per person.
The service was very good and every morsel was delicious. I would recommend Salt Seven for a special occasion.
