SALT SEVEN Ratings and Reviews
Unbelievable steak and oysters! The service was great and the price point was certainly fair. If you have the appetite then you should order the 22 oz ribeye. It is a healthy cut of meat and had the perfect marbeling. The oysters came with a side of vinaigrette that and cocktail sauce that paired perfectly. I wish I would have ordered more of them
The new chef who was the winner of "Hell's Kitchen" has totally revamped the menu! We liked SALT before but this time it was excellent. The chef took time out of his service to come out and speak with us and ask how the food was which was really nice. The place is a little loud but that is to be expected from a busy restaurant. We will be back.
The steaks were good, the rest of the meal, not so much. My fish was overcooked. It seemed to take a long time to get our appetizers and then our entrees. The biggest shock of the evening was the bill--our server had recommended the steak special but never mentioned that the steak special was double the price of the regular steak on the menu. The special came with a dolup of foie gras and a truffle--it was $35 more than the regular $42 steak!!! $78 for each steak and 3 of us had the steak special!!!! Highway robbery.
This is a place I haven’t tried before today and quite frankly I wish that were still the case.
The crab cake appetizer was bland and cold and came out less than 5 minutes after ordering.
I ordered a beet salad and they actually mixed that up with a beet side dish.
Our entrees weren’t too far behind( so much for leisurely dining) and again mine was not hot and had to be sent back. My wife’s hanger steak was more than not tender, it was tough. And to top it off the waiter, after I told him I had a butter issue, told me the side dish of asparagus had butter so I did not eat it- he was wrong
I wasn’t going to complain but the manager came over and asked so I told her all. She didn’t even offer coffee or dessert or even so incentive to return. So I won’t. I suggest others follow my lead
Oh and it wasn’t cheap at $200 with the tip
The are better places on the strip to spend your money for dinner.
Now I know why it was easy to get a reservation on Christmas weekend. ITS NOT WO IT!!!!
Reuben is the absolute best server we’ve ever had. We’ve had him twice and each time it has been amazing. The food is very consistent. We were a little disappointed that there was no sushi anymore but were thankful that at least the truffle Mac & cheese was still an option.
Have to say we were unimpressed. Restaurant seems to be set up to have large parties not tables of two. We shared a bunch of different things and for the most part everything was tasty, we didn't realize the lobster was fried so I was a little disappointed but it was good. The crunchy tuna seemed to have very little tuna and I wish it said there was wasabi mayo drizzled over it. Kinda ruined it for me. The restaurant seems to draw a late night crowd with the front outside being very crowded.
If you want to get in on the "scene" in Delray Beach and eat Salt Seven is the place to go! In the heart of Delray Beach and all the night time activity it's a lively spot, good food, lots of people watching, but not intimate or a place for conversation! Later turns in a dance club, (Saturday night), packed cheek to cheek!
Heard they stepped up their game with a new chef who was the winner of "Hell's Kitchen" and they did not disappoint! We had eaten at SALT a few years ago and they had good food but we were really impressed this time. Next time we are in town we will go again.
