This is the second time I've eaten here and it was really lovely. We enjoyed the food and my favorite dish the salmon was pink in the middle not over cooked and just perfect. The sauce, presentation and overall dish was perfect. We had a nice glass of wine as well as the creme brulee with blueberry compote. The cocktail list is nice and they have a full bar but I've not tried their drinks. This is a nice place for a sunset cocktail and appetizers too I'm sure. I highly recommend this place and will be back to try the breakfast as well.
ONLY IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTION: I feel like they need a candle, flower/plant or light on the tables since they don't have tablecloths it would feel warmer to me.
Incredible view, good food and a nice staff. Unfortunately, not enough staff, the service was slow beyond their control. Pricey food and drinks, but will be back with that in mind.
The was good, however, I wish the menu had a little more options. The breakfast potatoes were a little on the crunchy side for me, and the bacon was a little overcooked. With that being said, the service, ambiance, and the overall environment were GREAT. We will come back again. The highly favored was the; crab dip, and the monkey business... oh my goodness my two favorites.
It’s not as nice as the pictures you see on Yelp. It definitely needs some updating. But I must say It was very relaxing and even though it was Father’s Day it was not packed. Nice brunch experience. The server was great.
Normally an awesome place, but the waiter was awful and quite rude. We were the last table to be served because of his attitude.
Food is great! Outside is the best place to sit with an amazing view! Order the Clam Chowder, you’ll regret it if you don’t!
Excellent every time I go….
Tough night. Ok service. Not good food and overpriced. Head to Abbott Kinney area or beaches instead. Drinks were at least good. Very disappointed as looked forward to a great meal.
We were a party of six ladies celebrating a birthday. We had a very nice meal and the service was good.
The food was good and the view was amazing. It just took a very very long time to get our food, like an hour.
We arrived for our reservation and no one was around When the hostess appeared she told us she was busy and disappeared again. About 10 minutes later she appeared and took us to the outdoor patio, making sure to tell us that we only had 90 minutes for dinner. The waitstaff was trying hard but was swamped. It took quite a while for our order to be taken and quite a while for the food to arrive. I had to find the less-than-charming hostess that we were not going to be finished in 90 minutes. She was not happy about it.
We had fun and our waiter was very sweet. Nevertheless, food and service was not great.
Very nice place
Very good food, waitress was great and the view was wonderful! I would recommend this place.
Four stars for our server Janine. She was sweet, professional, and on top of things even when busy.
Save your money and time. They're not prepared for the reopening post covid and everything suffers accordingly. Drinks were watered down and over priced. Food was just creasy and bland at best. And although our server was doing her best, we were always waiting for something. Definitely better options in the area.
I have found my new favorite brunch place! Right on the marina, great food, and drinks, overall lovely atmosphere. I have already been recommending this spot to friends. I will for sure visit again. One thing to note is that you will need to valet park.
Very slow service from being seating and ordering and getting served. Nice atmoshpere and food pretty good.
Brunch with a marina view, great classic light CA food, excellent hosts and service, and reasonably priced considering the location and experience. Definitely recommended, especially with out of town guests!
The food was delicious, and great ambiance. Our server was rushing, I guess because our reservation was at 845 and they close at 9. Outside of that things were phenomenal
Food was good , service could have been better, food was slow out of the kitchen, excellent location
Service was outstanding! It was a beautiful day sitting in the sun and the atmosphere was wonderful
Drinks were delicious. View was lovely. The starter food was great, but the mains weren’t what we expected. I would have ordered other starters rather than the breakfast/lunch main meals.
The view of the harbor is gorgeous and the breeze was perfect for a hot day.
The hotel staff was not the most welcoming but not rude either. Our waitress though was so open and hospitable. Really made our time in the restaurant fun.
Great food, great view and great service. Highly reccomended.
Food was ok. Felt a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. $18 for upscale queso with chips appetizer and when we asked for more chips, they said it was another $4….mediocre food for $20 burgers, $6 valet, $8 sparkling water. View was ok- of boats in the marina…I will not be returning unfortunately.
The view here is the best but as always, be careful what you order. Order things that are not that hard to make. Their cocktails are weak. You're better off with a glass of wine. I felt a bit pressured by their 90-minute deadline at a table, especially when the service is slow. I understand the need for deadlines, but two hours would be more realistic.
Menu was limited, hard to find on the internet, not the highest quality, did not have menu items available
Everything was fantastic!
I usually never write an actual review unless the experience I had requires one. This experience certainly does! The service was undoubtedly some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our server was very welcoming, attentive, and a pleasure to deal with. It added to the beautiful ambiance and delicious food we had. I would definitely recommend SALT and will be going there again for brunch.
Great staff and location. Everyone was very accommodating and the food is great.
Food over priced and didn’t like the soup.
I really enjoy SALT however I wish they had more vegetarian options. I got the fish tacos, the fish was over cooked and the tortillas weren’t heated at all.
I’ll probably stick with SALT for the cocktails.
Salt was excellent! A few friends getting together after not seeing each other during the pandemic and everything about Salt was great...food, service and ambience! And, in honor and remembrance on Memorial Day, was extra special!
Such a beautiful venue overlooking the Marina and you all took such terrific care of us and our clients, making the night very special for celebrating - many thanks again
Excellent ambiance, quality service and exquisite food.
Great food and service. The setting and views are perfect for a good evening meal.
Thanks to the supervisor Heather and manager it made our experience much more pleasant.
Hostess- made the experience seemed like we are entering prison as she was so rigid instead of being welcomed. She can probably deliver the message in much more pleasant way.
She requires customer service training g and problem resolution. She is the front and face of restaurant so that wasn’t a good start.
Server forgot my iced tea and he gave the guest of honor a canned bear after repeatedly asked for a bottle: beer.
I will go back because the supervisor and manager were great in resolving issue and made us feel welcomed.. also absolutely love the ambiance.
AWFUL experience. The attitude and service was so bad it made our evening out (3 mature ladies) a huge disappointment. My friends and I are now trying to get out to bring business back to our local restaurants. who we understand have suffered with Covid closures and lack of customers. Therefore, to give returning patrons poor service, have a bad attitude, and be uncaring to their needs, makes no sense.
This restaurant is pricey, so one expects great food, good and attentive service with pleasant wait staff. But you WON'T get that experience at SALT.
The setting couldn’t be more lovely. I think the menu could be expanded. There used to be a crab salad on the lunch menu but that has disappeared. I had the breakfast burrito which was pretty dry and the accompanying salsa was too spicy for me. There was no mild salsa. Too bad. My partner had the fried chicken sandwich which he liked and the fries were quite good.
Unfortunately, food is mediocre. Fried calamari needed to be cooked a little longer; clam chowder had "skin" on the top when it was served; too much cream. You were out of several beers! Espresso martini was OK, but not great. Servers were harried; had to wait for things, but clearly she was trying. Setting is great. Get your act together on the food and beverages!
