One Market Restaurant
Very crowded tho was seated promptly at my reservation time. Server made very good recommendations. The fettuccine with shrimp was excellent. Oysters were average. The short ribs were good but not great. Dessert was fair.
Food was ok not great. I had the daily special Duck breast, and it came in a big chunk that was very tough and hard to carve.
Service was functional, but the wait times in all facets was unacceptable. From seating us 20 minutes after our reservation time, to the time it took to get our drinks, and especially the time between our first and main courses, the meal took about 2 hours! For 2 courses!. Not going back anytime soon.
Service was terrible, from the bar to the food. They were short-staffed but never admitted it until we prodded. It took 90 minutes to get our apps and more than two hours for our dinner to be served. And the place wasn't even full. Food was ok at best. Can't go back
Very disappointed. Service was so slow. Fish didn't seem fresh. Took business associates in front out of town and was embarrassed.
Thoroughly enjoyed a festive dinner with out of town family.
the sea bass was truly amazing.
The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Delicious food. Definitely something for everyone. Loved that they offered smaller plates as well as full dinners. The combination of flavors in the food were unique and amazing. Reservations are a must! Service was good although a bit slow at times. The venue got a bit noisy at times but no more so than most popular restaurants. Would definitely go back next time I visit SF!
Amazing restaurant. Great ambiance. Great service. fantastic wine list.
The individual ingredients were very fresh, high-quality and very well-prepared. Overall the dishes were under seasoned and they combined too many things together in each dish and created kind of a muddled flavor profile.
Great service and food as usual. Acoustics are not great. Pretty noisy but fun
Incredible ambience, food, and service!
Poor service. They need more servers. Small portions. Food wasn’t that great considering the price. Disappointing.
Outstanding service. And the food was amazing. Best duck I have ever had. The small bites were explosions of flavor. Loved my evening there and will be back.
Good food. Nice location. We were a Table for 3 so we were placed in the back of the restaurant which was not the BEST... but the rest of the tables seemed nice.
We were catching up and pretty slow to order (our waiter pointed out that they like to turn the tables quicker - not cool). Food was served quickly and everything was good!
Celebrated my birthday and service was exceptional! They made sure we were taken well care of. Definitely an awesome spot to celebrate + a few of my friends were first timers and very impressed. Thank you guys!
Tasty options with great cocktail list (and non boozy cocktails)- liked the decor, great ambience
Salt House's service was impeccable, the atmosphere was lively and the food was delicious. The menu offering has a variety of unique dishes. The corn and zucchini soup was lovely, the cheese platter was a perfect starter for the table and the shishito peppers were the bomb. The wine list from my perceptive is a bit limited as most of the bold red wines are in the higher price point($100.00+). However, the limited red wine list won't dissuade me from dining, but, I will book Salt House for a smaller group.
Great fish options and the appetizers are always good... shishito peppers... yum!
What happened to this place?
The food was shockingly bad!
The service was terrible. My wife and I ordered two cocktails minutes after we arrived, and it took the server 35 minutes to bring them to our table. He was defensive and had excuses for the delay. And didn't apologize. To make things worse, the cocktails were weak.
The food was bland, overly salted, and the fish was undercooked. Not what I was expecting for a $32 entree.
The restaurant was extremely loud. My wife and I had to talk really loudly to hear ourselves across the table.
The server paid no attention to us. He didn't ask us how our food was or seem to care. When it came time for the check, he just plopped the bill down on the table and left. Still no "thank you" or "sorry again" for long waits.
This was truly a bad experience (and expensive one). A real bummer.
Always an excellent experience. The food is amazing with great options, but not overwhelming amount of choices. The staff is always attentive and very professional. I love this place.
I love this place! I had a beet salad that was awesome. Best salad I've had in a very long time at any restaurant of any caliber. It's a must have when going here. I'm an old dude and I'm starting to like places that are slightly quieter. Love the energy in this place, but we sat up stairs, and it was a bit noisier than I would have liked. But, that had no impact on what a fantastic evening and meal we had! I'll be back and will sing your praises!!!
A little pricey for small portion size.
Great experience overall. Delicious pork chop and incredible duck. Substantial portions as well. Will be back soon!
Went for lunch during a convenient. Specifically booked a reservation since time was short! Our server was efficient and engaging. Food was great, especially the poutine. Only disappointment was that arriving slightly early for my reservation I was asked to wait outside despite plenty of available tables. Seemed unnecessary and rude.
Slow service, poor quality cod, bad wine, super long wait times
Ramen was objectively bad. Loud place. Great service!
Way too expensive compared to the quality and taste of the food. Both of the dishes didn't taste of anything.
I went there for a lunch with my client. It was a lot noisy.
We went for lunch and got there when they opened at 11. We had the poutine, the beet salad and the duck confit. All were good. The lunch menu was kind of limited; hence the four stars
I normally come here for lunch given proximity to work. I have to give them credit for getting their lunch service in order and streamlined. I used to avoid coming here if I only had an hour for lunch (usually took 1:15-30) but now the wait time and service is much more efficient which is great. That said, they need to work to change up their menu every once in awhile. Everything I’ve had here (which is most menu items) are all solid.
Noisy at lunch, but excellent food & service. Can be very busy at lunch. I would suggest a reservation.
Great food and great service. We have visited a few times now for dinner and the staff have always been a so pleasant and helpful. We really enjoy the food and atmosphere.
Pretty disappointed at the quality of the food. Our salad was very bland and my fish smothered in sauce.
Date night with the wife. Great as always.
The food is very poor.
I know that I’ll always have a good experience at Salt House. The staff, the quality of the food and overall appeal of the place will keep me coming back...as I have since Salt House opened.
Food and drinks were wonderful- always love having a date night here!
Went there for lunch. Food was ok. There was a chicken with pasta dish. Pasta was a little gummy. Ordered some red wine. A full-bodies cab. It was fermented. Yuck. Notified the waitress who brought me another red. Better but a little dry. The noise. THE NOISE!!! It’s so damn loud in this restaurant! Decibels bouncing off of the brick walls. I don’t think I’m going back. The noise gave me anxiety.
