Salt Creek Grille is an American-themed restaurant that strives to create dishes with produce from local ranches, farms, and fishing so that everything on the menu tastes as fresh as possible. Offering a wide range of menu items, you can find starters like jumbo shrimp stuffed with horseradish, wrapped with bacon and chipotle honey, or the ahi tuna stack, or even Saratoga potato chips made with sea salt, malt vinegar, and house-made onion dip. Flatbreads at Salt Creek Grille include the bacon and goat cheese and burgers and sandwiches also appear on the menu. There is even a veggie burger that comes with wild baby arugula, herbed goat cheese and tomato marmalade on a Kaiser bun.
Salt Creek Grille offers entrées like porterhouse stroganoff, Maryland crab cake, roasted squash and ricotta ravioli or coffee encrusted New York steak. Reservations are not required but they can be easily made through the website.
The experience was, overall a comfortable, and satisfying night. We will be visiting again in the future.
Always an excellent dining experience. Food is consistantly fantastic! THE BEST Cheeseburgers around and I just love the Porterhouse Stronganoff. And I save the THE BEST Chocolate Souffle and Apple Pie Desserts for last.
This restaurant has it all- a vibrant bar scene, outside firepit, great views and excellent food, service and wine list. We enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner at the cozy firepit on a very busy Saturday night. All of the food was good but the chocolate soufflé was expecting amazing.
I've enjoyed SCG for years, but when are they going to update that menu? That cheesey, garlic bread is getting very old. I don't know how much Kale they go through but I personally hate it.
Kelly, was our server by the the window in the lounge area...as well as the bar staff...that were both congenial as well as attentive....
Food was prepared and served as ordered. Did not feel rushed. Substitution of sides advertised for entrees was not an issue at all. Nice walk on the grounds and beautiful sunset after finishing our meal.
We have been here before and the food and service were up to par. We took friends that had not been here before and they will be back.
Kelly our server was excellent and went out of her way to make the evening enjoyable.
There was a varity of breakfast and lunch selections. Our waitress was attentive. Overall good experience.
This is a great room - very energetic, right on the river, with a robust menu. The portions are huge - I actually wish they were a touch smaller. Service was very good even though the restaurant was extremely busy. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Valet parking also was nice.
The food, ambience and service were all great. I like the fact that they accommodate all styles of eating and have absolutely no problem with substitutions. Enjoyable Saturday night.
Good food, variety, fair price, great value, excellent drinks, consistent never a risk, wonderful service
Really pleased with our dining experience. Got to sit by the window and enjoyed the water view. Cindy is a great server, fun and friendly. Service was relaxed and comfortable. Food was great. We had the herb roasted chicken, which at $18 is a great deal. The barbecued baby back ribs were moist, tender, and flavorful. Brussels sprouts and baked potato were done perfectly. Finished it off with a generous portion of mango sorbet. Great selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. Cocktails were half price. Great job Salt Creek Grille!
My wife & I went for our aniversary, and everything was delicious... we ate way too much... so my self loathing aside it was a terrific dinner. We should go to SCG more than we do.
And Kendall, our server, was also terrific.
This was our first time at this restaurant and I thought by making a reservation that we would have a scenic view but we were sat in the middle of the restaurant and had no view. The food was good and the service was great, but I doubt well make the 40 minute drive to go there again.
Even though we couldn't sit near a window, we had a great experience. Just the right ambiance for a lovely dinner with great food and wonderful service.
The two waitresses were very friendly and fun. The crab cake was tasty, but a little small. They used to give two, now you pay extra if you want the second one. The bbq ribs and the prime rib were great. The chocolate ganache dessert was delicious. Sangria was just okay, very mild tasting.
I rated Salt Creek with three stars overall, but it wasn't as good as I remember in past years. The food was OK, nothing special. Also, the restaurant didn't seem as though it had been well maintained. I always remember the Salt Creek as having a warm, cozy atmosphere; great food with excellent presentation and awesome drinks from the bar. A little bit of a disappointing experience for this diner. Hopefully the Salt Creek can turn it around.
Over the years, I have been to this restaurant a number of times. The food never disappoints! The menu isn't huge, but the specials are always great. There are deals on drinks/wines during the week and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent. I requested a seat by the window in my reservation, which I was unable to get, but we were still able to see the water. I was a little disappointed since I made my reservation a week in advance, but it was fine. This past visit, the service was not great at all, but every other time I have been there, the service is great which is why I am still giving a 4.
My wife and I eat here on Mondays for the 1/2 price wines.
The food is generally good, though it can be a bit inconsistent. If something's not cooked well or not to your liking, they'll do their best to make it right.
The goat cheese marinara is delicious!
The sunsets over the river are beautiful.
Overall Salt Creek Grille was a nice experience for dinner.
We started with an appetizer special which was fried scallops and they were delicious. For our entrees we ordered a cheeseburger w/fries and also a blackened ahi tuna steak sandwich. The cheeseburger was delicious, tasty. They served an over abundance of french fries. The blackened ahi tuna sandwich was very good. This came with a very nice/fresh side salad.
The ambience is just average. It is loud and hard to get a table by the window which has a view. we were seated in a booth and you can not see the water.
The evening was nice, the service was very good and the food was enjoyable. Ambience is just so so but still over all a nice time.
Our server Shaina was very customer oriented and made our dining experience a real pleasure. Food was prepared as ordered and service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Very few places on the planet can provide the kind of meal where every single mouthful is perfect. This is a place that does it every time we visit. Add to that excellent service and a stunning view and you have the makings of an epic dining experience. Thank you to the owners, managem and staff of salt creek grill for this gem of a restaurant.
I hadn't been here for quite a while and expected a more upscale restaurant. With salads and burgers now staples on the smallish menu it was not what I expected. Certainly not for a special occasion. The restaurant is also VERY DARK. It is on the water but very few get water views.
This spot is now in the rotation. From the atmosphere, views, friendly service, great food and drinks it hits on all cylinders. Bravo Zulu. See ya'll soon.
We went for brunch and the food selection was great! Some dishes needed improvement (i.e. bacon was not crispy at all). In order to get your money's worth you definitely need to order an omelet or egg dish (or go back for seconds, thirds, fourths, etc...) and take advantage of the unlimited mimosas.
It was a picturesque sunset over the Shrewsbury river. Sitting in a private booth overlooking the boaters as they pass by, when our server graced us with a wonderful wine list, exquisite entrees and an upmost professional demeanor. My guest and I dined as if we were alone, despite the hour long wait without a reservation. As a Grill Club member, we were VIP guests, given the best seating with our reservation during prime time, Friday night dining. Unlike most restaurants where guests are asked to purchase items they might not want, our server questioned our preference, suggested wines that matched our pallet and food choices, and invisibly served and cleared the plates as an elegant butler would. I highly recommend Salt Greek Grille.
Have always loved their sunday meatloaf but was very disappointed this time. They seemed to have changed the
been to Salt Creek many times and the food and service is always top notch. Their wine list is extensive.
We wanted to order draft beer but there was something broken and they we're not selling any. Their choice of bottles beer was uninventive. Should add some microbrews to their inventory.
We have been frequenting Salt Creek Grille for many years and have never been disappointed. Their service is accommodating and their food is delicious. The presentation is quite pleasing for the appetite.
The view at the restaurant is beautiful, especially around sunset. However most tables don't afford you the chance to see it. The food is great and our server was top notch. It was a bit loud but it was a Friday night. Overall 4 stars.
We had a great time tonight at Salt Creek Grille. We enjoyed a seat by the window and delicious meals. Our waitress, Cindy, was terrific. She was knowledgeable about the specials and menu selections. She was appropriately attentive and assured that our meal was appropriately paced and served. She shared information about the Salt Creek Grill club and so, we are now members!
First Time at the Salt Creek Grille, and was recommended by friend.... It did not disappoint. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, the appetizer bread was delicious, and the chocolate soufflé was the best dessert I've ever had. We can't wait to go back!
Totally delicious and enjoyable. Valet parking is a plus with the summer crowds as well.
Great food, great service
I love to go there for Sunday brunch. They have a wide selection of delicious food. The beautiful array of buffet selections include snow crab legs, shrimp, salad, pastries, homemade waffles, carving station and omelets made to order.
The service is excellent and the staff makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in.
You must add the Salt Creek Grill's Sunday Brunch to your weekend plans.
My wife and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary with dinner at Salt Creek. We got a window table, and were entertained with a wedding going on just outside, as well as the nice view from that part of the restaurant. The staff was great, and made a point of wishing us happy anniversary.
Another great dining experience for us there.
Service was friendly and helpful. Food was sort of average. Pleasant evening but not for high expectations.
The salt creek sits on the nova sink river. And the views are awesome. not a big fan of valet parking but what Eva. But if you do not get a window seat ( not that many). Then you are in a booth in a dark wood environment. Poor layout. That said the food we had was excellent. We had the grilled mesquite ceaser. Outstanding! We also had the quinoa and kale salead and the watermelon salad both were surprisingly good . for mains I had the stroganoff wish it were a little more creamy for my tastes but it was really good too. The garlic bread that comes out on the table is very good. Wish they cut it through tho as our hands were an oily mess. If we were home we would have licked our finger. Alas we were not The chocolate soothe was superb. Tho at 13$ it should come with ice cream not as an added expense . Overall good experience. Don't know how to get a window view however. Anyone know the secret?
The food was overall pretty good, could stand a few more vegetarian options. My biggest complaint is that if you don't get one of the seats by the window you can't see the water and it feels extremely dark. They should figure out how to open it up more and utilize the view and brighten it up.
