About Salt Creek Grille - El Segundo
Salt Creek Grille is a bright and modern eatery with high-ceilings and blond wooden accents, serving modern American cuisine. Starter options include the salt and vinegar Saratoga potato chips with homemade onion dip and the sashimi-style ahi tuna stack with avocado and ginger soy sauce. House entrees include the crab, shrimp and artichoke-heart stuffed salmon, the herb-crusted rotisserie chicken with roasted Brussel sprouts and the balsamic-marinated roasted portabella mushrooms served with a squash and kale hash. Salt Creek Grille also serves a popular array of flatbread pizzas, as well as sandwiches, such as the pork-laden creek burger with aged white cheddar and bacon jam and the slow-roasted French dip with rich au jus.
Salt Creek Grille's phenomenal and fresh fare is perfectly topped off with a serving of its decadent chocolate ganache soufflé, finished tableside.

Salt Creek Grille - El Segundo Ratings and Reviews
Always an excellent meal at Salt Creek Grill. We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary and were given a delicious chocolate dessert. Noise level is a bit loud especially with band playing in lounge but an early dinner makes it tolerable rather than louder later. We have always enjoyed our dinners at Salt Creek - our 6th time dining here. So many fine restaurants in the South Bay. We enjoyed Salmon special and a Hanger Steak.
Always impressed with the service and food. The management does such a great job and always checks the fine details... Although servers are great too! This last trip was our tops... And we look forward to coming back. New York steak and ribs are both great dishes... And flatbread is a great starter. This place gets it right with customer service!!
Salt Creek Grille is a lovely building with great ambiance. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre at best and our service was extremely lacking. There doesn't seem to be anyone to bus the tables, servers seem to disappear, I heard one customer tell a passing employee that "their server died, so could they take the check". Really unacceptable, we will not be returning.
I went to celebrate a relative "50th" birthyday so my group wanted to have a great time. Unfornaturately my meal the first time came out under cooked so our waiter took it back. The second time it still wasn't cooked enough for me but I tried to eat it anyway. The best thing was the manager was made aware of this and took the charge off of our bill. That made me happy. Therefore I will try this place again.
I met 2 friends at 3 p.m. on Tuesday to celebrate a birthday. Our dining experience surpassed our expectations. Our server was outstanding. She was thoroughly familiar with the menu and was able to suggest pairings with selected appetizers and wine choice. From the appetizer (Flatbread) to the main course (Caesar Over Mesquite) to dessert (Complimentary Butter Cake and Apple Pie a la mode), everything was mouth-watering delicious!
I've eaten here since it opened. There was a time when service was a bit too slow for my liking but the food was incredible. I've noticed in my last few visits, that service seems to have picked up. Now I don't worry that it will take too long to dine there. The ambiance is always fantastic! The new upgrade in service combined with their fantastic, allergen friendly menu, makes me want to go back over and over again!
The watermelon salad with added grilled shrimp was amazing. I saw a picture of the salad online and knew I had to go and try it; I was totally satisfied. As a bonus the waitress gave us chocolate ice cream and flourless cake. The calamari was a little chewy, but the creek flatbread was a delicious appetizer.
We went on a very busy Sat night to celebrate a 21st birthday. I called ahead to request a dessert and candle brought to the table. It was VERY LOUD, we couldn't hear each other at the table.
Our waiter was attentive in the beginning , but once the food was delivered, we never saw him. Nobody came by to ask if we wanted dessert, much less remember that we were celebrating a birthday (I had already confirmed this at the front desk). We nearly walked out without paying our bill because we could not find ANYBODY to bring us a check. It took 25 mins. The food was good - but service made our dinner an unpleasant experience.
A friend and I made a quick stop before a concert one Saturday early evening. The food was excellent, and it was a nice quite place to dine.
I had the Ahi salad which did not disappoint... I am looking forward to my next dining experience here and trying something new.
My folks came into town for my birthday dinner at Salt Creek to join my family, and we had a great time. The food and service were great and we'll do it again in the future. We like the north side dining room as it gave us a little more privacy.
See you next time.
We were greeted by a very well-mannered young man who opened the door for us and showed us to our table immediately--even though we phoned ahead that due to traffic we were running late. Some places make you wait even after you call but not here. The service was excellent and everything from the homemade bread to the grilled Caesar to the fish entrees was absolutely positively delicious beyond adjectives. And the live music was an added plus and perfect. Can't wait to return!
A bit pricey for our family's budget but it was for a special event and it was well worth the memorable evening of fun, drink and good food. The music coming from the bar was excellent . It was a bit noisy in the restaurant but we could still manage to hear each other without difficulty. I was surprised by how good the BBQ pork ribs were. I love BBQ and tried ribs just about everywhere and IMO this was the best I've had in the South Bay. Poor or indifferent service is always a personal deal breaker for me not matter how good the food or ambiance - Salt Creek's service was excellent.
booked our reservation on open table 30 minutes before arrival. The Saturday before mothers day can sometimes be a challenge. We were greeted with a warm welcome seated right away with a smile. The server was attentive to our party of 10 -- including a couple of kids. Great suggestions from the menu including the daily special. Service was prompt food was very good.
Took my girlfriend here for a date night and we had a great experience. Aside from the greeters at the front door not being too friendly, our server and food was amazing! Server had great recommendation in the burger selection and the mesquite baby back ribs was awesome, especially not being a smoke house. Definitely would recommend this place.
I thought this would be a great new place, but it was okay turned worse when they did not confirm my reservation when I arrived. This despite the numerous occasions I asked, since the hostess was not at her station. I thought this was taken care of until Open Table notified me I was a no show. It was taken care finally, but this is not a good first impression.
We needed to kill some time before sending my in-laws back home on a plane at LAX. We found this resturant on Open Table and booked reservations. Glad we did, because this was a busy night as they were hosting a special event. We got seated within 5 minutes and had a server there immediately taking our wine order. Mon. nights were half off bottle night so we tried a new Napa wine which was excellent ( Fisticuffs 2011 Cab). Food was served promptly and everything was excellent!
We will be using this resturant when we travel to LAX.
Service was a bit off......no one seemed to know what was going on and clearly the waitstaff did not work as a team......we had two different people asking us for our drink order, then it took forever to receive. Then two different people asking for the food order, yet we still didn't have our drinks. Then when it came time for the check.....no one could be found. We usually stop by and eat in the bar but didn't this time. Seems the bar area has it a little more together!
This restaurant charges way too much for mediocre food. The Salt Creek Salad which comes with green apples and goat cheese was a bunch of lettuce with 3 slivers of green apple and 2 dabs of goat cheese for $8. The trick is to ask for more green apples and goat cheese. The steak frites for $24 was a mere mouthful and not tasty at all. My medium rare was well done.
