Went to Salt for my wife’s birthday. Requested special seating which was kindly accommodated and they were certain to acknowledge our special occasion. Service was outstanding considering a limited staff for a busy evening. The food was served promptly and was delicious. I would recommend Salt without hesitation.
Highly disappointed in the overall experience from this place- not sure if it was due to a special menu for New Year, or if that's how it always is.
The stratosphere cocktail was not as advertised, and we could tell the champagne was not fresh and it lacked any flavor.
Our meal was completely overpriced for what we received. Five of us were eating out, and all our soups were served cold, with one bowl of the French Onion so bad that the cheese wasn't melted and we had to send it back. Three of us had the lobster pasta dish, and although the lobster was good the noodles were poorly executed. They had been sitting out too long before being served, and lacked any flavor to add to the dish. The strawberry shortcake for dessert had a 'biscuit' (brick) that was so tough it would have had to soak in order to make it edible.
To end the night, a homeless person came in off the street and started harassing our table. He was talking to other people before getting to our table and being disruptive.
I can honestly say the only positive part was how quickly the bartender reacted to trying to remove him from bothering us- he was very professional, and it was refreshing to see that.
The nearly $500 spent on loved ones to provide an incredible experience to end the year was ruined in every way imaginable.
Overall, I was highly disappointed, and don't see myself returning again.
I recently ate at Salt for NYE special. I have eaten at Salt before and for a previous holiday special menu and it was delicious. This time around the food choices weren’t as exciting. My husband and I like to order different dishes and then share. Both soups were good, but I’ve made a French Onion at home that was better. My schnitzel entree was so oily and off putting that I asked to exchange it for another dish. I understand that it’s a fried dish, but pressing down on it with my fork leaked out running oil. Please know, I don’t like doing things like that, but although I couldn’t stomach the Pork Schnitzel I couldn’t stomach paying $65 and not eating my main entree. The dessert in my opinion was the best course. Their basil ice cream wasn’t just yummy, but really exciting to eat. The chocolate tart with blood orange sauce was divine. Overall the value wasn’t there for there special menu. However, I would try again in there everyday menu because in the past it’s always been delicious.
Disappointing Christmas Eve lunch with family. They sat us by the door and it was drafty - normally not an issue but on that bitterly cold day, I knew there was no way the food would stay hot when it came. They did allow us to move when a table came open, but it wasn't much better since the front door is still quite close. The waitron told us the fried polenta would suffice as a starter for three, but we got two teensy pieces of it - not enough for one person, really. It was a holiday, so we were prepared to be understanding about wait times, etc., but it beggared belief how long it took for each morsel of food to reach the table and how long between visits from the wait staff. The soup was cold when it arrived, and when I asked for bread or crackers to go with it, they brought some chilly scorched bread. Since only the brunch menu was in use (something we didn't know when we made the reservation), there were few vegetarian/pescatarian options. When I asked, I was told they could make me some scrambled eggs for SIXTEEN DOLLARS. Um, no thanks. Other than the French toast, nothing was great and we left still hungry - doesn't say much for a $75 lunch for 3 people. Yikes. I'd steer clear of this place.
I have eaten at SALT several times in the 2 years, the food is usually really good though i have noticed the vegetarian sampler are a bit dull - I treated my cousin to a birthday dinner and we shared the gnocchi with chicken and the power bowl, both were unexceptional. The power bowl had very little flavor - some lemon, or herbs like basil or a mint chutney or cilantro sauce would have really made it more interesting. i really couldn't believe i spent so much money on two such boring dishes.
Other than that- it was a nice evening.

Went for the $29 Restaurant week menu. I was disappointed that the salmon advertised on the website was not on the menu. So I ordered the beef bourg instead and was again disappointed to get a small piece of fat and gristle that had too much of a tomato taste.
We have been to SALT several times prior to this visit. Each time we come we seem to end up here. This time we stopped by for breakfast and were not disappointed. I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was fantastic.
My husband had the bbq pork sandwich and would barely share!
Another great meal.
We recently ate there during the First Bite Boulder event. The menu sounded good, the first course of soup and salad was good. The second course offered a steak option with an additional $8 fee - which wasn't stated on the menu and the waiter almost forgot to tell us. The third course of dessert was disappointing all around. The bread pudding was soggy and didn't have much taste the pear was worse and difficult to eat.
