The waitress was the best part of the experience. She was excellent. The food was average not as good as in the past. The shrimp was over cooked and flavorless. The seafood pasta dish didn't have a lot of seafood in it. The live entertainment was very nice. Probably won't go back, at least not for a long time.

The restaurant is located in The Ritz-Carlton which is beautiful itself. The restaurant is located near the beach so you can sit by the window if there is an open table. Reservations highly recommended. The staff was extremely nice and very knowledge, and very attentive. The food was amazing. From the prawns, to the tenderloin served with a salt slab so that you may complete the cooking to your liking. Too full for dessert but I hear the soufflé is awesome.

We are usually on Amelia Island in Jan and Feb of each year and have eaten at Salt on a number of occasions. We weren't able to get a reservation when our son in law was visiting last year and when we dined at Salt this year we were reminded how extraordinary a dining experience is. From my blackberry mojito, to incredibly well crafted salads and main courses Salt stands out way beyond any of the restaurants we have dined at on Amelia Island. The wine list is extensive and a bit pricey, but there were wines in each category that were well selected and of exceptional quality. My wife had the foie gras with caramelized apple and said it was an incredible treat. I had the elk chop which was perfectly done and our son-in-law had the steak and lobster which he highly approved. Each of us had a souffle for dessert, and each of us was delighted with our selection. We have eaten at a number restaurants on Amelia Island, but Salt is remembered as our favorite, and we look forward to returning.

Although we knew it would be a bit pricey due to the location the value/cost for quality just wasn’t there. I’m glad we went but won’t do it again. Service was wonderful

Salt absolutely lives up to its five-diamond rating. The food was excellent -- creative and beautifully prepared and presented. Little perks like the assorted infused salts for sprinkling on your bread really took it over the top (in a very good way). Service was friendly, not overly pretentious. We interacted with at least four different servers/staff, and they were all smiling and knowledgable. LOVE that we got an introduction to each dish that was served to us -- that's a must for serious foodies like us! Would definitely come back here, and will recommend it to others staying on Amelia Island!

We went with another couple for our Valentine’s Day dinner. This was our third visit and it was excellent as always! The food is always such a neat experience. My only complaint was that the room was very chilly and dark. I would have preferred a tad more lighting at the table. Other than that, it was outstanding!

It’s expensive but food was very good. Give it a try but bring your wallet. About 100 dollars a person with wine.

Our service team of Matt and Derrick were outstanding. Informative but not intrusive, and friendly but not overbearing. Every facet of the meal was beautifully choreographed and we were treated like royalty. Kudos to the two gentlemen, and to the Ritz for their training and recruiting which allows them to hire, develop, and KEEP such stellar staff.

Wonderful as always. Loved every bite. The lighting seemed very dim - never remember it being that dark before. But otherwise, there is no better dining venue in our area. Hands down.

We had a lovely time during our dinner at Salt. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance was lovely. We chose to have the chef’s tasting menu which consisted of four courses. Our first three courses (foie gras, a seafood soup, and elk chop) were all delicious! We had never had elk before and were thrilled with it. Done to perfection, it had a great flavor. What we were disappointed with, however, was dessert. We had heard wonderful things about the soufflés people had ordered and our hopes were high. However, when a tiny piece of dry chocolate cake topped with a piece of chocolate and a couple raspberries was what was presented to us, we were less than thrilled. The cake was rather flavorless and incredibly dry. Such a shame that our otherwise delicious meal had to end on such a sad note. We would definitely go back to Salt, but probably wouldn’t do the tasting menu again.

The service was superb from the moment we got to the hotel & the valet informed the concierge of our arrival so they greeted us by name & a happy birthday greeting to my wife. We did the Chef’s choice with pairing & the service from every person who served us was as perfect as is possible to be. The selection of food by the Chef was superb as was the pairing with all 4 courses.
Another perfect, memorable dining experience at Salt.
