Old fashioned restaurant with really not good quality food
Fantastic food and service as always for our family group of ten
Saloos is a reliable quiet place to enjoy excellent Pakistani cusine with a friend or companion. The friendly service is outstanding.
Very authentic. Nice service. Good flavors. Would go back. Thank you.
Poor service. Ok food. Never will be back there
Best Pakistani food ever!!!!
Strongly recommended if you want to eat good food.
Excellent food, but the service was below my expectations. It took a long time to get our drinks ordered, food ordered, coffee/dessert, and the bill. It felt like we were being ignored relative to the other tables, of which there aren't that many. I could understand this if it was a larger or lower priced restaurant, but for this venue the behavior felt almost disrespectful. I would definitely recommend this place for the food itself, but you should go in with the appropriate expectations for attention and timeliness.
It’s been a few years since I was last here but I needed my London curry fix - This is an old favorite that never disappoints. Great food - and lovely staff. Not a cheap curry but a very good one. The only thing that would make it better is if they had dhansak on the menu!
Delicious, authentic cuisine. The sauces and curries had complex depth and were wonderful. Strongly recommend.
With friends, good place but felt a little bit pricey!
Nice choice of kebabs and curries, helpful staff!
Elegant Interior, great location, lovely staff.
Food superb... it was painful not to be able to bring away what we didn’t eat! Will definitely go again!
Food is brilliant as always and the owners personalised hospitality is exceptional!!
Excellent restaurant, lovely setting, cozy, expensive but tasty food. Very good and attentive service from our waiter, Daniel.
Really good neighbourhood secret. Hidden away but well worth finding
I had not been there in about eight years dyer doing there several times before. It was still excellent in every way. Great experience once again. The food and service are fabulous.
Service super slow
Food less than average
Great food but expensive. The service was very good but we were the only clients at that time.
I have been coming to your restaurant for 25 years and it is still as good as ever!
The best food in the world . I live in USA and each time I have a chance to go to London will always eat there.
Deliciously authentic Pakistani restaurant in a quaint and pleasant setting with excellent service. My only complaint is that it was a very warm evening and the air conditioning was turned on very low.
The dining rooms and bar needs updating - needs paint and new furniture. It is an old establishment with 30 year old furniture but the food is good, Menu is very pricey for the lack of ambience that is provided. Service is always very good and friendly.
We came for the food: it was as per recommmendation of friends. Our waiter was personable and knowledgeable but...forgetful - he forgot one dish I had ordered (fortunately did not charge us) and one our table desserts (so the qulfi started melting on the others' plates whilst we waited). Also, I didn't like the 'turnover finished wine bottle style.'
Overpriced and bland. Been here a few times now, and continuously disappointed. Prices are way higher than they should be given the quality of the food. Lukewarm nargisi koftas, overcooked chicken boti, were but a few indications that this once excellent spot is in decline.
This restaurant is in a lovely townhouse, so the setting is nice enough, but the prices are far too high for the quality of food which was acceptable, but too oily. If I'm going to spend that much money on Indian food, it had better be outstanding. I would not go back again.
I have not been back to Salloos for years, it was always exclusive and refined. That has not changed very elegant and mature, the quality of the food is outstanding. My only negative about the whole experience is the cost of the side dishes. Cheap but beautifully seasoned vegetables are not expensive or time intensive - takes the edge of a beautiful meal.
I hadn't been to Saloos for twenty years. I can't imagine why not. It s as delightful, and the food delicious, as I remembered it to be.
I had heard great things about the food so took a chance, took four Pakistani friends for dinner there. Unfortunately not as good as were hoping for, may be our expectations were too high? Been to better indian/pakistani restaurants (food wise) in London.
The Haleem was the super!
Chicken Karhi was over cooked.
Lamb chops used to be better ,
too dry .
This restaurant is located on a lovely street in Belgravia. The restaurant and hosts are warming and welcoming. Excellent selection of Pakistani foods!
Everything was prefect until a family arrived with a kid using his mobile phone as a TV!!!
Great Pakistani food. Spiced just right. More flavour and lighter than typical cream based Indian curry.
Best Pakistani (Indian) food in London!
Not to be missed
We have gone to Salloos throughout the years and had always been satisfied with the experience. It is perhaps some 5 or 6 years since we were last there. Our friend from the US was staying close by and so we suggested Salloos. When we arrived at the reception desk, we were told we must wait, the entrance was empty and the hostess (who seemingly did not speak English) just stood there and starred at us for 5 minutes. We asked what was taking so long, but were offered not explanation, after a few minutes more, the hostess decided to take us upstairs. We could not figure out why the long wait as the restaurant was half full and there were many tables available for our size party. The food is ok, really on level of our local takeaway. The prices were insane for what was on offer - £25 for a prawn curry - 5 or 6 prawns - and they were half the size of a king prawn. A bill for 3 people - one bottle of indifferent wine, a vodka tonic, 3 main dishes, 2 vegetable and some rice and bread was £200. This is definitely not the restaurant we remember and we shall not be recommending it to anyone, nor shall we go again...pity!
Food was authentic and good. Ambience was average, it never tends to be full of people. Service was sub par for a restaurant that was less than half full. Staff was inattentive to our needs and somewhat arrogant.
Excellent Food and Prompt service. Use of spice was really good and gave a different dimension to a number of Indian Sub-Continent "Standards". Will surely go again!
We (myself and children) enjoyed Sallos except my wife, who hated this enterprise. She felt that the space was cramped and tables were small and food was ordinary. Whereas, rest of the family really enjoyed the food. We all agreed that ambience can be improved. We don't suggest this restaurant for desi wives.
What a pleasant surprise to find this wonderful restaurant in the heart of London!
We loved our meals!
My first and last visit to this legendary spot for South Asian food. The kebabs were dry, the tandoori roti like rock, the paratha a fried, rock hard tandoori roti, tasteless aubergine, tasteless kulfi and barely edible carrot halwa, which tasted like carrot salad gone wrong. Only the biryani was ok, and no more than just ok. At £55 per head, we felt completely ripped off. A huge contrast with the superb Amaya nearby, excellent food at similar prices.
