Celebrating our 46 wedding anniversary with part of our wedding party. Our server was the best and we will return to this restaurant again and again because of her.
Worst dining experience we have had in years. We had 5 different waiters yet never knew if we really had one, no one paid attention to us, sat with hungry small kids in the evening with no one stopping by table to check on us or give us water or menus while entire staff covering floor seemed to be all over table next to ours that had ordered a cheap bottle of champagne. After an hour and 15 minutes, and a few very mediocre starters still no main meal, our food finally came out and both dishes were completely rare. We left and went to In and Out. It's a real shame that have such a poorly managed place with mediocre food at such a beautiful location. I guess it would be fine for a drink at the bar.
Serena was a helpful server, providing guidance on menu items and adding to the conversation.
All in the party enjoyed the meal, something for everyone!
Nice outdoor dining and one of the few water views in Marin!!
Love this place! My leadership team and I thought the food was AMAZING! Good wine, great service! we would all love to come back again!
We had reserved for 12 but actually ended up with 10. The staff was very accommodating and flexible. The large table was a square rather than round which made conversation much easier. The food was very good and the presentation was even better.
I would enthusiastically recommend this to friends. It was expensive but given the beautiful location and the excellent food, I felt it was appropriate. It was a lovely experience.
We really enjoyed our food and the friendliness and service of the staff. We look forward to visiting again. We absolutely loved the scenery and be seated near the water.
The venue is lively; the setting very good. It's "Sausalito" without being in the touristy part. Always great spot by the water. However, the food can be very inconsistent. So, best for drinks, simple starters, etc.
Our food obviously was left in the heat window for far too long. I ordered a simple dish, the Garlic Noodles with Crab and it was extremely dry. My husband ordered the Prime Rib and it came out medium well. We never received any bread and every table around us had bread on it. Once our often absent waiter came back, named Louis, we complained and asked for bread as well. He brought the bread out but never offered an apology or to speak with a Manager. We would have appreciated at least to have one of the wines deducted from the bill. I will never go back to this restaurant and would never recommend it, but maybe for a drink. Food was below average.
Everything took a really long time and we had to ask multiple times for drinks and the food came out cold not once but twice. The food was ok once it was warm but it was a very underwhelming experience. But really good brussel sprouts.
We were celebrating our anniversary and it turned out just beautiful! Food was delicious!
Service was extremely slow
We were celebrating a special birthday and everyone went out of their way to make it a special day for us! The food, bar, service and atmosphere was wonderful! I highly recommend! It was a perfect day!
My second time going here and it did not disappoint! Everything from the bread to the steak to the seafood just so fresh!
Crab sandwich and Caesar salad too much sauce/seasoning. Overpowered the crab and salad
Our waitress Megan was fabulous! We were their with out-of-town guest and this was my first time at this restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals the food was great it was a beautiful evening in Sausalito which made our water side table even more incredible.
Excellent service. Beautiful location. We came with a group on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and was seated right away. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Everyone was very happy with their meal. It was fresh and delicious seafood. I’d definitely come back.
We love Salito’s, but sometimes we do not go there because it is so cold with all the sliding doors wide open. I don’t know why they don’t close them when it’s cold outside. It would be more comfortable. There are heaters, but it’s not the same.
Our family happened upon this lil gem and fell in love. The food was so good we ordered seconds to take home and ate later that same night. The only disappointment is that we have 4 days of vacation left and now we are worried we already had our best meal of the week! The crab is awesome, the enchiladas amazing, the pastas we had were both excellent, and the drinks did not disappoint either.
Didn't like the crab. The burnt butter made it taste bad.
We go to Salito's often and usually have wonderful things to say. Easter was different. We were served our food in 15 minutes which tells me two things: 1) they were trying to turn tables as quickly as possible, which is super tacky for a holiday meal that costs $250, and 2) the food was premade and sitting in a warming oven. Not the experience we usually have there..
Good food. Nice view. Excellent service. All at a reasonable price. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Excellent experience.... again. Our family really loves this spot!
We had a reservation at 1:30 for 2 people thru OT; fast forward one hour later at 230, and our table still wasn’t ready. Finally asked the hostess (kindly mind you) how our table was looking since we had the res an hour earlier and she rolled her eyes and said “oh sorry we got chaotic then”. No comp’d items on our meal or anything to make up for it. Our server however was great, but unfortunately we had a bad experience here. Avoid avoid avoid
I love this place. Great Atmosphere and casual.
The French dip is awesome
The cheesy bread was amazing!! The crab was okay...super buttery!
We loved our meal here. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is very laid back and casual. We would definitely eat here again! The yellowtail carpaccio was so delicious!
This is such a lively, upbeat place, especially sitting outside facing the sailboats and sunshine. Food is fresh, beautifully presented and the whole ambience is just great.
Terrible service, long and at time inexistant; we asked 6 times to get hot water for our tea!
The vegetables coming with my dinner arrived after I was finished, and they were inedible anyway.
Avoid at all cost.
Had a wonderful time at Salitos. There were 11 of us that got together for lunch and the table was perfect, Not to crowded and big. We had the large iron shrimp skillet to start, Mmmm butter and garlic and shrimp. Our entrees where all different and everyone was happy with what they ordered. I had the Prime Rib sandwich. The meat was so tender and flavorable and the aujus was just right, not too salty. My husband has the Seabass in parsley, garlic and paprika butter and said it was the best. Service was spot on. Our server Celeste was attentive and checked back often, we never wanted for a thing. Drink refills were offered, plates cleared when empty and she was very friendly. Will be back and highly recommend. Thanks for making our day Salitos.
lunch followed by that queasy feeling you get from eating food that’s just too greasy.....We had mussels, Brussels sprouts & fish fry - frankly everything tasted like it had been cooked in the same oil. Way overpriced for quality of food & service. Servers tried hard & were nice, but at $70+ I kinda think you should wipe down the table.
Salito's is a close to being a tourist trap. It is very expensive, the portions are very small, and the drinks are terrible. And it has a mysterious consortium of owners.
The last three times, I have been there, I have ordered gin and tonics and I think they mistook the recipe for a dry martini where you wave the bottle by the glass. But they wave the gin by the glass. The last time, I finally mentioned this to the waiter and he said I could buy a shot to essentially make it a single.
But I continue to go there because of the wonderful views and the great history of the places that preceded it, Zack's and Margaritaville.
The service is not horrible and the food is not horrible.
The prime rib was amazing and melts in your mouth, the sea bass was perfectly cooked, and the cheese bread with chorizo sauce was fantastic. We loved the whole experience.
We had a family get together and it was great! Great service! Great food!
Christina was wonderful... she really helped me surprise my husband... the whole place took great care of us! And the food was wonderful... can't wait to go back and eat another crab! Yum!
Our first time in Sausalito. A friend recommended Salito's and it was perfect for my husband, me and two teenage boys after a hike in Muir Woods. I booked through Open Table and asked for a table with a great view. We arrived and they had the best table in the house waiting for us. The whole experience was A+++. Would go back in a heart beat. Thank you!
Very good food. Dungeness crab was delicious.
The crab was flavorless and the prime rib was undercook for well done. The cheese bread was something I wouldn't order again. Overall, I am puzzled as to how this restaurant is mentioned as one of the bay area's best establishment, which is truly a joke.
It was fine. Nothing wrong, I just wouldn’t seek it out again.
The Dungeness crab and bread are good, the rest of the food/salad was average at best.. But the service was the worst we’ve had in years. 3 hours just to have dinner. So inattentive. 1/2 hour just to see a server at the table for the first time. Nice enough waitress but clearly overloaded or distracted and exceptionally slow to return. Table busing very lacking and hostess who did not seem to know what was going on. This might be tolerable in a lesser venue with cheap food, but it was a very expensive meal and intended to be a nice birthday party. Very disappointed.
I've been in your restaurant over 60 times because I love the food, service, views, option to eat inside or out, ambiance -- fun place to take friends or clients.
