Food & service was great. Soko made our dining experience fabulous. Information about seating is poor. Casual was defined as in the bar, and table was arranged so both parties couldn’t see the water. Disappointing information about seating options.
We arrived and sat at our at our table promptly. No one noticed us until we had to ask for a waiter.
I was between two bottles of wine in our waiter Orford for us sommelier to come and help us. When I asked him between two bottles of wine I’ll he did was describe the grapes, but not comment about the wines themselves I ordered one of them and had to turn it back. I did not like the second one either but we kept it anyway
I will waiter was very attentive after that and very nice he asked us about any dietary allergies and we explained our situation and he was very helpful
The food we ordered was bland without much taste nothing special about it certainly not worth its price
In the end I will waiter offered us to Limoncello’s on the house which we thought was a nice gesture on his part
This is a very nice restaurant but with average food
By far the most amazing sunset terrace in Marco island It’s our 2nd Anniversary celebration here. We will definitely be back.
We've been coming to Sale e Pepe for many years and have always enjoyed the food. It was excellent again and the chef is very creative. Our server was extraordinary especially dealing with my wife's allergies. The issue I have is about how management makes you feel when they reconfirm your reservation. They make a point about the dress code including no shorts, flip flops, etc. So we were very surprised to see so many people in the bar area (where there are seats for dining) where people were in shorts, sandals, etc. And these were people that were later seated to have dinner. There is a pretentiousness about the place that isn't warranted nor needed. It can make an excellent culinary experience seem not worth the effort.
Really superb fine dining experience. Make a reservation, and try to get a table on the terrace around sunset. I’m not sure there is any parking other than valet (if I you’re not staying at the Macro Beach Resort where the restaurant is located - valet is complimentary). I was visiting the area on a business trip and happened upon this restaurant on a travel blog. Good for a special occasion and getting dressed-up (they do have a dress code, not sure how strictly it is enforced - no swimsuits or beach attire - most were in business casual). Had the beet salad, ravioli with calamari, and gelato for dessert.
The most picturesque place to dine on the island
What a beautiful view. The food and service was awesome, will definitely go back..
Incredible food. The buffalo mozzarella appetizer, bolognese, and zucchini blossoms were amazing.
Perfection! The food and presentation is fantastic View at sunset is amazing.
Anniversary- great meal!!!
Great menu, authentic Italian flavors with flair, beautiful view, excellent service.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. The waiters were very accommodating. This is the place to go if you want to see the sun set! The cocktails were top notch!
We try to make it here every tine we visit Naples/Marco Island. Tisnvisit did not disappoint, thank you.
Federico provided amazing service! Great food! Perfect spot to watch the sunset!
Always great——-great bar and bartenders———-great menu——-nice service——-favorite special place
Wonderful place, excellent service, beautiful setting, delicious food. Highly recommend.
The entire meal was something you would dream about. It was that good. Pasta was fresh and the sauce was very authentic. Just like my northern Italian grandmother made her sugo. And the prosciutto was from the same northern region that she was born and raised in. Will definitely revisit again on a special occasion .
This is an exceptional restaurant! The food is always excellent with friendly, knowledgeable and efficient servers. They have a superb wine list offering a wide variety of choices. Viewing the sunset over the Gulf adds a special element that very few restaurants can offer. It was the perfect setting for our anniversary
New chef not the real deal. Overmuch attention to presentation. That is nice but the food matters most. Recipes lacking. Third try and won't be back unless for drinks only. What a waste of a primo setting and facility. Chef has to go sorry to say.
Souper avec des amis
Scheduled a few weeks in advance only to get a call the “day of” stating that we had to conform to a dress code of no shorts and no jeans. This is a beach side hotel restaurant. Would have been nice to know there was a dress code well in advance in lieu of they day of the reservation since we travelled in from Michigan unprepared for required dress code. Very disappointing. Our server was outstanding; however, the food quality was sub-par given the price point. Bottle service was also a bit extreme at $35 per bottle of wine just to open and serve. Overall experience didn’t meet our expectations in fine dining. Will look at other options in the future.
Delightful waiter took time to explain menu and enjoyed the seafood in a mason jar.
It was a perfect evening! It started with a cocktail in the bar before we were seated at our table for two on the rail for alfresco dining. The food, the service, the view and the sunset all made for an exceptional experience. Even the valet was delightful. It was our third visit and we have never been disappointed. Our favorite restaurant on Marco!
We really enjoyed our experience. Our server was wonderful and very knowedgeable. The meal was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
We reserved a table on the patio. We were seated indoors without a view. This was very disappointing. All the food was great except for the gnocchi.
Top quality restaurant and service. I eat out quite a bit, and I never leave reviews, but this place earned it. I don't remember the name of the dish, but it's a seafood pasta served in a jar. Looks a little odd, but it was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. I recommend getting a reservation for outside around sunset.
Delicious birthday celebration for my husband! Can’t wait to go back!
There are a handful of places in Marco that have great food. Hi here’s only one with a great view as well. It’s this place. If you are into food and priceless sunset views over the ocean. This is THE place in Marco
Beautiful sunset beach views compliment the excellent food and wine. The cosmopolitan martini was the best on the island. The service was impeccable. It was very pricey, but you get what you pay for! We would definitely eat here again.
The opposite of our first visit. Service was spotty. Placed in sun. Nothing to acknowledge our anniversary. Noisy.
My family and I enjoyed a fabulous Easter dinner and a beautiful sunset!
Easter Sunday brunch: crowded. Tables too close. Had to ask twice to have table serviced. Waiter offered water and drink refills only once and had to find him. Service added to brunch cost plus gratuity and really was not worth total cost of this meal and experience. Food was well prepared but not a lot of dessert choices
Such amazing food, such poor service. Our service was unattentive.
This was our second time here. The food is fantastic. Our server was very good, but had too many tables to cover. She tried to keep up, but was having difficulty.
Food was good! Prime location! Very pricey for pasta. Small portions
We felt the service was just ok.
Food is over priced for the quality.
Will not go back.
Sale e Pepe must be trying to live off it's reputation because it was a major disappointment. They try extra hard to come off as snobby and they absolutely got that part 100%. We started off with no napkins or cutlery, even after the appetizer arrived. I asked for assistance with the wine list and it took around 20 minutes for the sommelier to come to our table. My appetizer was a caprese salad with burrata. The burrata was watery and tasteless. My sister ordered the ravioli as her main course and it was inedible. It was filled with some sort of fatty pork. I got the branzino and it was fine but nothing special. My husband got a filet and it was good but basic. Overall from start to finish we were not impressed. If you are a foodie and looking for gourmet food, this is not the place for you. So many better places to overpay for food. If all you are really looking for is ambiance and the food is unimportant, than this is the place for you.
