   We loved our experience at Sale e Pepe from start to finish. We were greeted warmly and brought to our table outside. Our servers were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Our cocktails and meals were the best we had during our week in Marco. And dessert didn’t disappoint! We will return!

    This was our second time going to Sale e Pepe and they did not disappoint. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Marco Island Here is what I ate and/or enjoyed about it - Ambiance - Food — Taglierini al Tartufo Pregiato- Incredible — Pappardelle alla Bolognese — Gluten free pasta dish that the chef made - Drinks — The new old fashioned — Wine selection was great - Service — Servers have always been excellent and the food came out very fast and it was great Highly recommend Sale e Pepe

    Stan and team attended to ever detail of fine dining. Wonderful wine recommendations and the food was exceptional and surprising. From the tiny bread bites and truffle butter to the chocolate dessert, we were treated royally. This dinner was the highlight of our time in Marco. Thank you.

    Have dined here many times in the past but our recent visit was the first in 4 years. Excellent waiter helped our experience once we were seated at our outside table with no nearby heaters for 20 minutes before his arrival. Long waits between our main course and dessert options. My entree was the asparagus risotto and a major disappointment - 2 spears of asparagus with bland white risotto and minimal flavor. Had server augment with grated parm reggiano and grated pepper but could not resurrect any additional flavoring. The chocolate gelato dessert had crystals of ice in every bite with minimal creaminess. Good wine selections but high priced per glass. Probably not coming back.

    My wife and I have ventured to Marco Island for 30 years. We have never heard of or tried Sale e Pepe however since we are staying at the Marco Island Resort, which is basically attached to the restaurant, we tried it out. Great food, wine list, dessert and service. We complimented the staff and manager. We are looking forward to going back later this week!

    It was a memorable evening from beginning to end. Our server Juan was wonderful. He met all our needs w drinks, explanation of menu, courtesy and service. The sunset was lovely and added to our delicious dinners. Can’t wait to return.

    Sale Pepe is a step above any restaurant on Marco island, the service is truly impeccable and the ambiance is off the charts elegant. The wait staff is imported from Italy and it makes you feel like you went there!!!

    We had a great table. Oceanside with glass wall. It was dark out. But the sounds were still cool. Great wine list. Pasta bolognese was a huge hit.with the entire table. Started with the raw tuna plater and capresa salad. Yum. Servers were attentive but not overbearing. We ended late. Apologized on our way out. They were very kind and accommodating. A lovely option for a special dinner.

    It was my birthday and we have celebrated it for the last five years with you. The place is beautiful and the ambience is exceptional. The drinks, a pear martini and Manhattan were very good. I wish it was in an adult size martini glass that is offered at other high end restaurants. I call this a “ baby martini glass” which I know holds less that a regular size. At the price they charge, this drink should be in a regular size glass The food was good and presentation was very nice. The bread and butter, and oil was excellent. We both ordered from the specials offered. I ordered the swordfish and my husband a seafood medley of mussels, shrimp, etc on a spicy sauce. My swordfish was good but bland. Once I put lemon and pepper on it , it tasted nice. We did not order dessert. The service was good, but not up to standards in the pass. We had to find and flag our waiter a couple of times to get something needed. At other times, he was right there. Just some inconsistencies. The hostess was excellent. My major dislike is the addition of a service charge, which replaces the gratuity. You can add more than 20% if you wish. I am just old school and believe when you do a service charge such as this , the staff just does not work up to the standard they could, or have in the past. I believe this is what happen this year with our waiter. There is not an incentive for him to do better. So, for us, we did not add to the 20% It was my birthday and the hostess wished me a Happy Birthday which was very nice. In the past the waiter always sent a small cupcake with candle or another dessert to celebrate the occasion. I did not tell him, it was listed as the occasion for dinner in the reservation. This year, there was no such offerings. None of the negative mentioned will stop us from going in the future. But hopefully my review will give the establishment something to think about. I do not believe it will keep us from returning, but left a bad taste.

    We eat here once every trip to Marco Island. It is a special time. A cocky at the beautiful bar before dinner is a must. The formal dining room is very elegant and the service is first class. The menu offers many options from the usual to the creative. Wine selections are also excellent. Just a special place.
