   We have been coming to Marco Island for years and have always wanted to try Sale e Pepe. We finally dined here, and it did not disappoint. The oceanfront setting is what you would expect. The service, food, and wine were all wonderful. I did order a moderately expensive bottle of Barolo, but the markup was very reasonable (far below the typical 100%). That’s always a huge plus for me. We dove into the menu a bit ordering oysters, calamari, pastas, veal, and ciopinno; and everything was excellent. All in all a perfect evening with my wife and daughters. Sale e Pepe will definitely be on our rotation from now on.

   All of your food was excellent and our server was also excellent! The atmosphere cannot be beat. They were kind to present us with a complimentary glass of champagne and a dessert to celebrate a special occasion which was very much appreciated.

   This restaurant is really overrated. I don't usually feel the need to write a review but I felt like I needed to warn other people about this place. Pros: The view of the ocean is spectacular Cons: The lady that greets you at the front door is rude and angry to everyone that I saw her interact with. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best. All of the staff seemed to be on edge and the vibe was terrible. Save your money and go anywhere else for dinner. Maybe start your night here for a drink yo enjoy the view and then go elsewhere!

   10/10 would recommend coming to Sal e Pepe, not only for the beautiful views, but the food is incredible! Three of us shared multiple things at dinner- true Italian style! A couple of us started with the sage and pear martinis, which was balanced perfectly w/ sweetness and sage. The bread assortment and truffle butter were a great introduction to the meal we were about to eat. We choose the primavera salad and burrata & panzanella for our antipasti...both were fresh, light, and delicious! Our secondi included cacio e pepe, zucca e noci (butternut squash ravioli), and the branzino. The cacio e pepe was a table favorite- simple yet satisfying. The olive oil cake was for dessert, and wow! The presentation is unlike any cake I've seen served at a restaurant. Light, citrusy, and soft with some crunchy pistachio underneath. Will definitely be returning when I'm looking for a nice Italian dinner in the area. Sidenote from living in Naples for 3 years. There are a ton of Italian restaurants, but this one has some of the best view and food. If you are planning a trip to Marco Island/Naples in season (Oct.-May), be sure to book at least 2-3 weeks in advance...reservations fill up, and this place is worth the planning!

    INCREDIBLE. The Food, The Service, The Location, The Wine List. AMAZING. Sunset Views outside (it was hot, so we did move to a shady portion of the patio). Cacio E Pepe was incredible and some of the best since our visit to Italy a few years ago.

    Great service and wonderful atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and professional. My husband and I had dinner for our anniversary while visiting Marco and we sat outside with a beautiful view of the gulf and sunset and we were not disappointed.     We absolutely loved the entire experience. The setting was beautiful and quiet and romantic. We chose the indoor formal option and you didn’t need to be too formal. Men collar shirts and close toe shoes. I wore a summer dress. The food was amazing and they let you try half of pastas so you can try two for one serving. The dessert was so beautiful and delicious.     We went out for a family gathering, it was good but for price point it wasn’t that good. Kind of generic and the hostess was rude I was in a nice shirt and kakis with extremely nice designer dress sandals and said they don’t allow guys to wear anything but dress shoes. They did let us eat but very rude from the beginning and made their client feel self concours when they shouldn’t have. Food was generically good but nothing stood out. Lack anything to distinguish them. I would’ve rated lower but the table side snapper was very good and putting on the skinning and preparing it table side was great.

    I had the zuppa de pesce and it was delicious. The sauce was great. There are a good variety of seafood. The pasta special with seafood and linguine was good but do as flavorful as it should be.

    I am surprise at the superb reviews of the food. The service was great, the views are incredible, but the food left a lot to be desired. My husbands dish was under seasoned and bland. My dish wasn’t great, it was just ok. I definitely wouldn’t go back. There are great views of the golf of Mexico in many many restaurants nearby. We were looking for good quality food and definitely didn’t find it here. I’d also like to note that the servers although wonderful need to do a better job at asking guests if they are celebrating a special occasion. It was my birthday and no one asked.

    Sale e Pepe never disappoints. Our server Vladut was excellent. Did not bother us and paid attention to our needs. Our food selections were well prepared and very good. Tuna appetizer was some of the best raw tuna I have ever had. The grouper special was just the right portion and prepared perfectly. All in all a really nice dining experience.

    It was our 36th wedding anniversary and had a Monday evening dinner at Sale e Pepe. We’ve been here a half dozen times over the years and it is always excellent. The service is impeccable. Our waiter was Mauro from Sorrento, Italy. We had appetizers of marinated olives and prosciutto and melon. For appetizers, my wife had the chicken and I had the halibut - both were excellent. Our waiter helped us pick an Italian Chardonnay (Planeta). Wonderful location with waterside view, great service and an awesome wine selection. For dessert we split a scoop of vanilla gelato and a lemon cake. The restaurant also plated a dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. Wonderful time.
