Ate at bar - great service, delicious food.
Interesting flavors but lacking in execution. Risotto was a huge disappointment, over cooked and under seasoned; the cauliflower lacked crunch, it was almost mushy. The sauces were all on point though, loved the smoky flavor with the albacore. House charcuterie and bread was solid. Would try again, as price was very reasonable.
THe preparation of the food was good BUT it arrived luke warm and so wasn't at its best. The service was OK but not great.
A beautiful space which holds onto a warehouse feel confirms you are in Seattle. The staff was friendly, helpful and conversational, offer helpful tips and suggestions. The food is all you'll read about and more.
Salare never disappoints, it's one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. Creative and ever changing menu, the food is like art on plates and it's beyond delicious.
I really wanted to like this more than I did. The food was good, certainly creative but some of the combinations did not work that well. We had a ravioli that was a little sweet and the bread was just okay - for the price it should have been wonderful. Service was spotty as our very nice waiter had too many tables. I greatly appreciate him not charging for a glass of wine that was forgotten for 10 minutes or so. It is certainly a restaurant worth trying and I will again with confidence the experience will be better.
I have always enjoyed this restaurant for dinner, but brunch was a disappointment. The food was expensive, diminutive, and not particularly inspired or tasty. I will not go back. At least not for brunch.
Fantastic flavors, and lived up to the James Beard rating.
We selected Salare after seeing the chef featured on the Netflix show Ugly Delicious and the meal did not disappoint! We followed our waiter's advice and ordered a bunch of different things and shared them family-style. The food was exciting and delicious. I especially enjoyed the handmade pastas and the yummy desserts. We will absolutely return!
our favorite in seattle. excellent food and service without pretentiousness
Everything was delicious. Creative flavor combos like the beet soup (which was savory and sweetish from strawberries and slightly spicy and had some crunch from nuts). Didn’t think I would love it but wow- it was delicious. Or the tuna with pastrami spice - amazing! Love love love everything we had.
Very unique, creative menu. The pasta dishes are outstanding.
Even if our main plate arrived quite late (we waited for about 30 min...), the food was delicious and very creative.
I love this restaurant - the dishes are unique and tasty.
Great food, wonderful service, easy parking and close to home.
Extremely pleasurable experience will come back again
The unique flavors we tasted at Salare made the dining experience top notch!
Decided to give Salare a try after seeing it on a drive through Ravenna.
Food was excellent in presentation and taste. Servers were very knowledgeable and accommodating.
Only real complaint: serving sizes are pretty small for the price. I'm a bigger guy so I'm used to not getting that feeling of fullness at a nice establishment, but my dinner companion is a very petite person, and she was actually the first to comment that even after sharing a starter salad and then having her own full risotto entree, she still felt peckish.
That being said, we did enjoy the experience and will very likely return. Though the portions were smaller than we would have liked, the food was delicious.
Dishes were good but variable; some didn’t sing (black cod) but some were truly outstanding (beet gazpacho, risotto, burrata). However the noise level made conversation difficult, and the absence of any sound absorbing surfaces gives the now-too-common impression that turnover is a goal.
First time at Salare. Heard about it on "Ugly Delicious." Well worth it.
I can't say enough good things about Salare. I might become an Edouardo Jordan groupie. Artful and delicious. Masterful taste combinations. Very attentive waitstaff. Everyone seemed to take pride in the presentation of the meal. Loved this place.
We were traveling home from a visit to the San Juan islands and made a special point to try Salare for brunch. We were not disappointed! Foood was fresh and delicious. Drinks were unique and tasty. Bartender Corel took great care of us. If we lived in Seattle we would visit frequently.
Amazing!! The food was incredible as was the service. Definitely get the biscuits which were beyond good. We just moved from NYC and this is the best meal we’ve had in Seattle by far.
Wonderful vibe...great food and awesome wait staff.
Wow are the first words out of my mouth. Kudos to Rachael and Gabby for excellent service and making it even more enjoyable than the incredible food! Calamari that wasn’t greasy with hummus and kimchi..who would have thought. Burrata salad that was so fresh you wanted to lick the plate and on and on. We were beside patrons that had ordered every dessert on the menu so we opted for that one left ... Smore delight that couldn’t have been better. This is a great neighborhood find. Total gem and can hardly wait to go back. Big thank you to all the staff that were so attentive and knowledgeable!!!
I don’t normally write reviews, but this place was so bad that I felt the need to warn others about it. The place looked nice and promising, but when the mixed greens salad came, we saw that the greens were not just wilted, but looked like it was about a week old where the leafy greens were literally decaying. We asked them to replace it and it came back the same way and the wait staff pretended that it was fine. They did manage to take it off our bill, but no one seemed to care at all about our experience there. There are many many places other than this one at this price point, so save yourself a trip...not worth it at all...big fat zero.
I’ve been hearing about Salare almost since its beginning And everything I heard it made me want to go there. Finally, we were able to enjoy their exquisite offerings and Extraordinary service . It may be the best meal we’ve had in Seattle and one of the best in the Pacific Northwest.
Outstanding in every way. I can’t think of a thing I’d change. A great variety of dishes and flavors for every palate. Can’t wait to go back!
What a fabulous restaurant! The food is creative, fresh & beautifully presented. The service was great & servers very friendly. Can’t wait to go back
Cozy, trendy, and good food without pretention. Rustic meals meet a laid back setting.
20% automatic tip added to the check.
My impression was that chef went out of his way to create meals that defied explanation. Of the 20+ items on the menu none of them were famialiar to the 4 of us dining and all required detailed explanations. Once explained they were still made of unfamiliar ingredients. Trying too hard to be exotic and not comfort food by any means.
We love Salare! It is always our go to for special occasions. We just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary! As usual the meal was outstanding. Everything melted in our mouths.
Excellent! Creative, fusion. Every bite delicious!
The staff were all very professional and outgoing. The food however... maybe it was because we were seated towards the end of the night. Lack of seasoning on every dish. Some dishes were over cooked to the point of charred some were not cooked enough. Just a lack of attention in the back of the house. We didn’t finish any of the five dishes we ordered.
Really enjoyed the food !! Very creative and extremely well balanced
Had a great meal. Only request--turn down volume on music.
We celebrated a milestone birthday at Salare. We need another major event soon so we can return! Their completely INSPIRED dishes are created with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Excellent service. Go with an open mind as you will see combinations no average mortal would imagine. Trust that you are in the hands of a master and prepare to savor every bite! Note that this is Seattle, and people will show up in their running shorts and tanks. Don't let that mislead you. Salare is genius.
Our favorite restaurant - and it has been since it opened.
Amazing food. The James Beard Award was very well-deserved.
Excellent food which was creative, tasty and beautifully presented. A great neighborhood jewel worth the time and money. All around great eating and dining experience in a warm setting
