Amazing dishes. The charcuterie plate was outstanding with all the made-in-house items. Great for sharing plates and inventive cocktails.
Four of us enjoyed dinner here for the first time and it was excellent. Stand-outs for us were the charcuterie board and the squid ink pasta in garlic cream sauce. We went on a Sunday night so it was only moderately busy and quiet enough to visit, and our server was excellent. We would highly recommend Salare!
The small plates are really quite small. A very modest dinner for two gets you past $100 very quickly. That’s with two beers, no wine, no dessert. Ate a snack when I got home.
Fab service, delicious food, relaxed vibe
Always a delicious time!!
Brunch destination of pure joy. Dinner is equally amazing.
Best brunch, best mimosa. You must try the hash. But then again you must try the French toast and the.... just go and try it all
All dishes were very good. Monk fish dish was not very fresh, and the sides for it did take away the sense of “freshness”. I had different versions of Monk fish in Europe (France, Spain, Italy, etc) and this one, while good, did not approach those earlier versions. I suggest taking it off your menu.
Excellent food and service. The menu is very diverse and the dishes are well executed.
Each dish we tried was distinctive. They used great combinations of ingredients. I would not be afraid to try anything in the menu, even if...or maybe because it sounds a little different.
FYI save room for dessert. I had the coconut cream panna cotta. It was a spectacular way to end a great meal.
Salare is absolutely fabulous. From the beet shrub to the cavatelli with lamb bacon- everything was fantastic!
The food and our waitress were terrific! I need to visit this neighborhood gem more often.
Was our first time at Salare.
We sat at the chefs counter for their Valentines prixe fixe meal w/wine pairings, was an incredibly tasty menu of 5 courses with a fish add on option mid menu that was a great addition. The meal was well presented, staff was attentive but not intrusive. Atmosphere was comfortable, the layout of the restaurant space is nicely done. Would recommend the chefs counter so you can watch the prep, see the amount of teamwork it takes to put such a lovely meal together. They did a great job. We’ll certainly plan to visit Salare again in the future.
Restaurant was severely overbooked and understaffed. We ended up being seated 40 minutes after our original reservation with no apology or consolation from the hosts. Very bad first impression to have on Valentine's Day. All things aside, food and wine pairings were phenomenal.
Food was outstanding but unfortunately the service was so bad that we will not be returning.
We have been to Salare before and always enjoy the food and wine! This time because of the crowd and the number of servings things got a little mixed up. My wine was paired differently then the menu suggested. They tried their best to accommodate my wife and her Keto diet but I think it is tough to do with theme meals. Overall the experience was great! It is definitely the best food in town!
We were there on Valentine's day, one of the busiest evenings of the year. The hospitality and meal was still remarkable. We had such a wonderful experience. Salare is one of our favorite restaurants and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
Valentine’s Day. Over priced for portion of food, nothing memorable food wise.
Phenomenal 5 course Chef’s course with wine pairings, great service, and wonderful ambiance for Valentine’s Dinner.
I was surprised there were so many open tables but maybe a Sunday night is just not a night to go out for dinner. The food was delicious. I loved the two pasta dishes we got and the sturgeon. One of friends is gluten free and man were they helpful about making sure she knew what she could eat. Service was friendly and helpful and the drink I got was good, not just good GREAT. I think it was called Somewhere in the Night and I'm still thinking about that drink and can't wait to go back and have it again. Thank you Edouardo Jordan!
Carefully crafted, delicious fresh food. Please note, portions are small. Our group of four women had to order an extra 2 side dishes to share and still left a bit hungry. The good news is if you order appropriate to the portion sizes, you get to try more scrumptious things!
The staff was very friendly & I was seated in no time. Food was amazing & I loved the ambiance inside. I love when there’s nice natural light & there was plenty of it. I went for the brunch, but I still need to try their lunch/dinner. Anyways I highly recommend going.
We found hair in our food. It was hard to bypass that.
Wonderful Food & Service! We had the octopus hash that was simply amazing!
Service time ok too long. Rest was good.
The pasta was amazing and service was superb. We loved the hip hop music to go along with the delicious food.
Gem of a spot! Excellent service, gorgeous menu and family friendly.
Food was disappointing - it seemed like Salare was trying too hard and missed the mark. Service felt rushed - plates being pushed quickly while we were still finishing the previous dish, leading to cold food.
Love Salare. I'm a regular and every time I try to think of someplace else to go I think - why quit a winner!
As usual Salare did not disappoint. Every dish was unique and as before one could pick out three diferent flavor combinations in each dish. It is great fun to sit at the kitchen counter and watch the magic of complex cuisine take place right before your eyes. The only downside at all is that when the house is full (often) the noise level does get a bit high.
Just fantastic...Salare takes flavors to a new level. Everything from the drinks to our small plates and entrees were fantastic. The panna cotta with the sesame seed crunch was a great end to an overall tasty meal.
Have been coming here regularly since it opened (we live in the neighborhood), and will continue.
We reveled in every bite! Seasonal veggies prepared with unusual flavors. Main dishes ranging from tasty pastas to succulent duck and more. Innovation, texture and flavors to intrigue taste buds. A thoughtful and expansive wine list too, with attentive, friendly service. Thank you all!
It was terrific as always.
It was overall a great experience, especially the food. It was interesting and very well prepared. We asked our waitress to surprise us with several different courses that we could share. We loved the charcuterie board! We understand that casual dining is now the trend but really would have preferred to have our own table. Although we did share a long table with another group, it worked out fine. We will be back!
Salare is a kind of Russian nesting doll, it needs to be unpacked. It begins with parking as an issue, it's in a neighborhood and as such you pretty much have to find parking on the street. Then you walk up to the place and there's another restaurant right next door, "am I in the right place?". You walk in and it seems to be something you'd find in an industrial park with high ceilings and exposed ductwork. But once you're in the door, the staff takes over. They greet you immediately and warmly. They ask if you have a reservation and greet you by name once you tell them what time your reservation was for.
Once sat we were given menus. The menu is spartan. It's heavy on starters and moves into "primi" and "secondi" with descriptions that, if you're not a foodie as my wife is not, you could be intimidated. Fortunately the servers are quite knowledgeable and very approachable. We asked lots of questions and she quite handily answered them all.
We ordered the charcuterie and our server told us that it was more then we could eat but they did have a half order that would be quite adequate and it was. The variety was impressive with home made crackers to enjoy it with. We moved on to a primi dish of Cavatelli pasta with a yellow Chanterelle mushroom Ragu that was the most tender pasta I've ever had. Our entrees were exquisite, my wife had the Flat Iron steak which was tender and delicious. I had the duck confit, it was the leg and thigh and it was delicious! But the star of the dish was the accompaniment, it was made with the duck gizzards and livers all pressed into a roulade that was even more amazing!
In all it was a culinary delight. I would recommend Salare to anyone looking for a unique experience. The service was wonderful. The food was exceptional and it is well worth visiting.
Another superb meal at Salare. I've been here a few times now and I'm never disappointed. The food is delicious and the ingredients are quality. Highly recommended.
Food was good, but there wasn’t enough for the price
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Salare. Our party of four shared a half order of the charcuterie plate which was delicious, unique and varied. We also enjoyed some of the pasta dishes, the sturgeon entree, and the tiramisu and sorbet for dessert. We asked for a quiet table and were seated in the back of the restaurant by the bookcase, which was perfect. A lively, charming, neighborhood friendly restaurant, with great food and attentive service. Caught myself wishing I lived in the neighborhood so I could walk there every week!
Fantastic! In our 20 years, this was one of our best meals & restaurant experiences in Seattle.
Sitting at the counter, we loved watching the kitchen orchestrate beautiful dishes. The vodka-elderflower cocktail and cabernet were excellent--not to be missed!
The tartare appetizer was amazing and we were split about the duck handpie.
The duck entree was a favorite because of the delicious flavor combination and preparation.
The tiramasu was light and delicious.
Best of all were the staff--from the kitchen to the servers/bartenders--everyone welcomed and engaged with us, making our night!
