The staff is extremely nice without being intrusive
Great food and presentation
Food was great as usual. We had a newer young waitress we never had before and she was not around. I had to ask another waitress 2 different times for a drink and kids chopsticks and my daughter had to get up to go ask for ketchup. This is the first time and I'm sure it was because she was new. All the other waitresses we've had were great. This will not keep me from going back. The food is great.
Hey Great atmosphere good food and great service
The server was attentive and out hibachi chef was awesome!
The hibachi tables are great for a group occasion. Staff is accommodating & fun.
Very young & rowdy crowd on weekend. Too loud for my taste.
We love going here for dinner, chad is the best ( our chef) everything was cooked to perfection. The red snapper was moist & flavorful as well as the steak being juicy. The restaurant was extremely busy which is great too see, It was nice to see everyone again keep up the great work.
Not so much a secret any more. This is a wonderful Japanese restaurant with dining room service, Hibachi grill (kids love it), and suchi. Great food and great service. Highly recommended.
Awesome as always. Thank you for everything. See you again soon. Domo
Always love the hibachi food and experience. Was great to see our favorite chef Chad once again - his food and personality are both amazing!
Our daughter chose this place to to have her 15th birthday dinner with her friends. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their hibachi dinner. The meal was followed by a surprise treat of fried ice cream for the birthday girl. Sakura is a great, fun place to dine with friends and family. The service is always great and the staff, very friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Great date with an amazing meal. Wonderful sushi. Didn't try Hibachi, but it's available. It's a hopping location and I'll be going back.
The food was decent enough but overall they used way too much butter in things that should have butter at all.... the staff was friendly but we had to frequently call for their attention despite the restaurant not being very busy. Overall experience was below average. Will not be returning.
Excellent and professional service and food.
The sushi was okay but nothing special. The fish was fresh but the texture was too mushy, like it had been prepared ahead of time. Tables near the entrance were chilly when people went in and out.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary, and were introduced to Sakura Garden through a gift card from family. We went on a Monday evening, not as busy, and enjoyed a delicious habachi-prepared meal and a delightful atmosphere. Prices were reasonable and the food was fresh. Recommend!
One of our favorite restaurants. Pleasant wait staff and great food.
Perfectly and beautifully prepared dishes. Excellent dining experience.
This place has never disappointed. One of the best around.
The staff was fun, happy, and just overall great. The drinks were even better, then the food/service topped it off.
Hibachi is always fun...especially with kids or a large group.
We had a nice lunch out on the patio. Service and food were very enjoyable for a Saturday lunch date with friends!
I was very pleased with the service! I had made some requests when I booked it and they were followed to the letter. The food was excellent and we were not hustled out, as so many restaurants do.
I think some local restaurants (i.e.,Maggie McFly)staff could learn a lot from the service at Sakurai!
The food was wonderful, my steak cooked perfectly and hibachi is always fun!
Sushi was great and service was quick
The atmosphere here is very enjoyable. The chefs make it a great deal of fun. The food is delicious and the show very entertaining. The staff is very accommodating and professional.
The food is outstanding and the service was great
I really enjoyed the whole Sakura experience EXCEPT for the parking situation (which is not their fault). Too many businesses with dedicated empty spots forcing me to park much further away than I'd have liked. I will be back, but if the parking issue is the same it might make me (sadly) re-think this as a place to go... If that happens, will try another of their locations before jumping ship entirely...
The atmosphere was very pleasant and the chef was very friendly and entertaining. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable.
Nice evening; great food, attentive service. Restaurant could use newer/larger by the glass wine selection. Only issue with the restaurant is the complex; even on a Monday evening the parking availability was very challenging.
Great restaurant. They made my birthday rememberable!! I love everything about that place, food, down to the entertainment :)
Our Hibachi chef was not good overall. His energy level was poor; he barely engaged with our group and did very little of the usual hibachi entertainment. this was very disappointing particularly because it was my mother's first time doing Hibachi. Lastly, we had a vegetarian in our party and in spite of being made aware of the special dietary needs, the chef proceeded to cook the vegetable in the same spot that he had just cooked the chicken in. Wouldn't recommend Sakura to friends, at least not the one at this particular location.
One of our favorite restaurants. Great food and service. Accommodating management team. Highly recommended.
We always enjoy Sakura. The food is consistently excellent! We enjoy both hibachi and sushi menus.
The routine of the chefs gets old after a while. The "egg roll", "little Jimmy", and catching food in your mouth isn't exactly a regular evening out. Best saved for groups once or twice a year.
Girls night out!
Took my Sister to Sakura for her Birthday luncheon and we are both lovers of Japanese cuisine.
We began by ordering the Sakura Blue Raspberry Martini each which were superb, very tasty and whet the appetite for to pending feast.
For starters we chose Haru Maki, the Crispy Oyster and Vegetable Gyoza all were outstanding most notably the Sesame sauce that was served with the Haru Maki which we commented on to the service to ask the chef "Whats in that sauce?" They did tell us but swore us to secrecy!
We then moved on to OhToro or Fatty Tuna which is like eating a velvety smooth, buttery rich morsel that was so satisfying, you just have to try it to understand.
Along wth this we ordered Salmon Carpaccio with cucumber, pineapple, tomato, pine nuts, mint aioli and truffle oil, again Superb!
We then decided to get an order of the Chicken Pad This which is a regular for me at lunch and is always delightful.
Unfortunately, we hadn't the room for anything else so we didn't order desert however, I have had desert at this establishment and it has always been on par for the rest of the menu.
I can say without reservation that if you love Japanese food and your in driving distance or visiting the greater Hartford area, you must stop here. No doubt one of the jewels in dining in the Capitol region of Connecticut!
My Son asked that we take him to Sakura for his Birthday as my other Son celebrated his most recent Birthday there as well. Great experience. We'll be back.
I had the best time here. The food was great, the service was wonderful. The hicbachi master, Chad, was awesome. I recommend this place to everyone I know
Good food, and the service and staff are very nice. The Big Mac (sushi) is the best!
