Saki Ratings and Reviews
As befitting a town on the water, the stock used for their sushi and sashimi is among the freshest anywhere. It is quite a energetic place; not a place for a cozy quiet getaway. Have yet to be disappointed. Service can be brisk at times; don't take it personally. Their non-sushi and sashimi dishes also don't disappoint. Fun little cocktail list. Eclectic decor. Just a fun place overall.
I thought this restaurant would b on the ball with the capability to make an online reservation. Surprise to us, we waited 10 minutes for the non-existent hostess. We even saw the sushi chef give out menus. As we were leaving, someone stopped me on the way out, my husband was already out the door. There loss, though you are able to order sushi at the connected restaurant. Wait staff friendly and the food, I hate to say was delicious. Too bad the experience will keep us from coming back.
Food is good, but make sure your server understands completely what you want. I asked the waiter if I could get an appetizer portion of tempura and I was served the dinner instead so I complained and the took it away without compromise (rude) then the waiter " offered me another cocktail in such a way it was free because of all the issues with the tempura and it was charged to me. It was obvious the waiter was only interested in building up the bill. We live in Truro and have been to this restaurant many times and never had any issues like this before. Sad
Saki is a good restaurant, food quality is very nice and the service is amazing. A little trouble is to find it, because is hidden between other restaurants, so you must keep your eyes open. If I can find something negative, it is the noise level, that I find to be very high. Nothing to say on the food side, very tasty and in right quantity (maybe too much but - you know - you realize to have eaten too much when you've eaten all the sushi boat! :-) ).
Great option in the summer for ethnic food and generous amount of seating ... other options other than sushi or seafood ... cozy booths and shared long tables ... great for cocktails and apps as well ... wonderful service and staff ... well managed ... unusual atmosphere for provincetown!
