We always enjoy eating at Saketumi. The atmosphere is great as well as the food.
It was hard to choose from the extensive and interesting menu. Each of our party of three was pleased with the final choices. The food was delicious with very interesting flavors. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. She did a very good job of balancing her duties. We will definitely return to try more of the appealing dishes presented on the menu.
Food was great as always! Tried a new dish, basil chicken….fantastic! Our server was super with his recommendations and attentiveness. We will return!
Consistently good! A great menu for sushi and non-sushi lovers.
Lots of choices. Big menu. Excellent cocktails!
Excellent food, especially on a holiday. Very busy as it was Christmas day, but our reservation was honored. Our server, Sarah, was super even though extraordinarily busy. And our drink at the bar came from bartender Mike who we stop to visit with every time we go there. Great place!!
A busy Christmas Eve, the restaurant was full, and they were short-staffed… BUT — Saketumi delivered on all fronts. Excellent food, a relaxed atmosphere in spite of two little ones who got “spicy” just before their parents were getting ready to go. Our server (I can’t remember her name, but she was a blonde, uncomplainingly working in spite of having children at home waiting for her) graciously and without judgement, kindly seated us away from the kids as we requested. After all, we were on our yearly Christmas Eve romantic dinner! Our food was perfectly prepared, came in an unrushed, but timely manner, and we left happy, talking about how we would definitely return. I would also like to note that the restaurant was very clean and the staff were well-groomed and professional-looking. Thank you, Saketumi, for making our Christmas merry!
The best sushi , great selection of delicious Asian dishes, highly recommended
Christmas Eve dinner with my wife. Food was excellent & service was great
It wasn’t a traditional hibachi that we eat at Japanese restaurant. The meat (filet) was good but vegetables overcooked and all covered in some thick sauce. They should warn patrons who are ordering hibachi that they don’t have an ability to prepare it properly (IMHO) despite calling it a “hibachi”. We could have ordered something else.
The service was great and so was an overall ambience.
The impression and our advise to our friends to visit the restaurant though would be a lot better. Left in uncertainty.
Really had a great time and great meal. Drinks were great as well. Pineapple rice was excellent and may be the most unique fried rice dish we've had. Service was great as well. Definitely recommend!
Great service and friendly staff. Food was great and fresh. Wasn’t a fan of their pad Thai. Rest of food was amazing
Great waitress. Very noisy when we arrived just after happy hour, but the noise diminished quickly. Shush was good and service was excellent. We will go back.
Brought friend from out of state and she loved her meal. We always love meals there.
Food was not very good..steak tough!!
Excellent sushi, drinks and service! Best Cosmopolitans! Service was exceptional and bartenders very friendly! Love the sushi too! Go early for happy hour!
Food was good and we were not rushed. Service was slow but we didn’t mind since we were having the evening with friends. Would have liked to get our drinks sooner though since it was a while before we received them. It seems the lack of full staff is everywhere.
Overall it was very good food and service.
There was a group of drunk 20-somethings playing music on their cell phones and grinding at the bar. They broke a glass (or something). There came a point I think they should have been asked to leave.
Terrible. The sushi was literally inedible, it had to be disposed of instead of eaten because I was concerned we would get sick. Additionally, the noodle dish made my husband sick with nausea to the point of having to turn in early for the evening, (we are on vacation). Do not understand how the reviews are so high. Very poor dining experience.
Saketumi is one of our “go-to” restaurants in the Rehoboth area. Its pan-Asian menu ranges from sushi & sashimi to curries and Korean BBQ. We’ve found that the food is always very good (try the TTS Roll or the Chirashi!), and fairly priced ($$), The cocktail list is inventive, and the Asian & Craft beer lists are short, but cover all bases. Plus, being on Rte. 1/Coastal Hwy. near Midway & Rte.24, there’s adequate parking. Reservations are useful. There’s a very busy Happy Hour (we’ve never been, but have seen that it fills up the bar area).
Fabulous service. Delicious dumplings, lettuce wraps, chicken wings!!! Coming back a lot!!! What a wonderful surprise 🤩
Waitress was amazing. Everyone was so upbeat. Food was delicious
My husband got the duck entree and I got the Korean BBQ. Both entrees were delicious. Decor is very plain-Jane but the food makes up for that.
Took friends to happy hour for the first time. They all thoroughly enjoyed the food, Cosmos, and the great service!
Great Staff! Very Clean! Quick service!
Food was spectacular. Great wait staff. Can’t say enough. Will be back next time we are in town.
Always good. It was busier than usual for a Thursday night so it was quite noisy. We will remain regular customers.
Not a date night place. Like um I can’t call it anything other than gentrified sushi . It was ok. I am spoiled by Sagami and other authentic sushi places The menu had mashed potatoes on it. I guess this is fusion? The Lychee martini was tasty except for the plastic martini glass. The server was quadruple sat by the hostess which angered me for Sara who was a hard worker but definitely exhausted. I think we caught her on the tail end of a weekend of doubles. I had to mention the co2 needed changing on the bars soda gun. The kids were not thrilled . We had fun anyway and laughed it off . I don’t know what i was expecting for shore sushi. I guess they had to dumb the menu down for tourists? Everyone was nice and i feel a little like a snobby city slicker. But ya ok sushi clean in a sea of shopping centers.
We were very pleased at this visit to Saketumi. The service was excellent. The food came out promptly. More important, we both found everything fresh and delicious.
We have dined there in the past. This experience far surpasses our previous “good” experiences.
Admittedly, this is our go-to place. We eat here a couple of dozen times of year and especially come here for the sushi. Recently, there has been a change in leadership behind the sushi bar. Throughout the transition, the quality of the fish has remained spectacular, the artistry is evolving into something new and different on the plates you're accustomed to ordering, and the restaurant has added some new offerings in their already excellent list of custom rolls.
So, what if you're in the mood for sushi, but not everyone in the party easts sushi? Saketumi offers several fantastic menu items with origins across Asia -- from light and crisp tempura, to eggplant and chicken, to spicy cumin lamb -- there's something for nearly everyone. I've brought vegetarians to this restaurant who left happy (though admittedly working out a vegan dinner here is a bit of a challenge....they pulled it off though!).
Reservations are highly recommended -- even more so if you have a party larger than four and want to eat in high-volume dinner hours.
There's little doubt that Saketumi will remain our go-to for sushi in Rehoboth. It is highly recommended by this customer.
Great sushi and sashimi. Expensive.
Great meal and service. This was a last minute reservation and our first time, but definitely not our last!
Excellent service and food! Sunset and Spice girl were amazing!
Place was great! Best sushi we have had in Reho. If staying in downtown proper it’s worth the drive to go out on 1.
We love the lettuce wrap and coconut shrimp appetizers. My husband usually orders the sashimi Rolls and I like the Woked Mango Chicken. Brittany is a terrific server.
Felt totally safe with precautions made and employees efforts! Excellent sushi. Try the eggplant! Yim!
Nice place. Good food. Only issue was we ordered filet mignon w/shrimp hibachi, and they clearly served us the sirloin and shrimp instead. Not sure which one they charged us for, because I didn’t check the bill closely enough.
Terrible experience! Upon checking in we were told we didn’t have a reservation although confirmed by open table. Male hostess was RUDE and made no attempt to rectify the situation. We received our points for dining an hour later so can only assume they gave our table to someone else. Will not rebook!
Felt very secure with measures taking to secure space and safety. Their happy hour sushi, appetizers and drinks are phenomenal. Very reasonable prices and everything tasted great! Best cosmo too!
I thought the food was excellent , nice variety, delicately spiced and well presented.
