Saketumi Ratings and Reviews
We finally decided to try Saketumi and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was attentive and responsive. The food was presented nicely and was very flavorful. The portion for the seafood vegetable tempura was enough for three! We're planning a return visit.
I ate here with my boyfriend. We can't recall what he ordered as his main course but we had the Rock Shrimp and I ordered the Dynamite roll as my entree. Everything was prepared well and we had a great time. The wait staff was really friendly. We'd come back if are visiting the area again and are in the mood for sushi.
You will alwAys be surprised how well prepared, fresh and delicious this underrated restaurant is. Any Suchi or Sashimi didn I've ordered is sublime.
My wife likes traditional, cooked fare, and never goes wrong with their Kung Pao dishes.
Johnny, the manager, is a very warm and welcomed greeter.
Lance is our favorite server. He will remember what you ordered if you've been there in the past. He is a kind-hearted truly dedicated professional.
Great sushi and service in Rehoboth Beach! I love the spot especially when you don't want to deal with the traffic downtown. Happy hour from 4 to 6 has a great selection of sushi, appetizers and drinks at discounted prices! Great Cosmo as well. I always bring my friends and family here and they always want to return@
This was the 4th time there and each time we leave my husband and I say never again. Problem is there aren't many sushi places in Rehoboth. Service seems to always be good but the food just gets worse and worse. I had miso soup that tasted like salty cloudy water. The chicken dish was over fried and tasted plastic, but the worst was the spider roll. Tasted like it had been sitting out awhile and truly inedible. Sad ..wont return
In one word - spectacular
Our waiter, Jimmy, was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He did not rush us in any way and allowed us to order one sushi course at a time which we appreciated.
The ambiance was very comfortable and the meal was amazing. We've eaten sushi nationwide, as well as internationally, but have not seen a larger menu selection and fresher fish anywhere. The unagi, wasabi tobiko, sashimi selections and the special rolls could not have been better.
We will most definitely be back the next time we visit the Lewes/Rehoboth area.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner
Excellent food. I've eaten here a few times and it's always very good. Although this time, I took my kids who love sushi but don't eat large amounts of wasabi but the sushi they ordered had wasabi embedded in it under the fish. After the first sushi, they figured it out and removed the wasabi but it was surprising nonetheless
The service was excellent. The food was good - we started with the Saketumi appetizer sampler and for entrees had the Saketumi sushi boat, shrimp tempura platter, chicken fried rice and beef ribeye pho noodle soup. The appetizer sampler was ok. The sushi boat didn't come in a boat and was a bit pricey for the $75, but the fish seemed fresh and it was a good variety. The shrimp tempura platter was plentiful. The pho noodles were good comfort food fare. The chicken fried rice was prepared as requested and appreciated.
Service was excellent as the waitress was attentive to refilling our drinks and delivering our food. The bus service was also excellent as the busman was there just when we needed him.
Overall, it was a solid experience for our family of five. We'll be back and hope that the upcoming crowds don't adversely affect the restaurant's service.
We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after hitting the Outlets. Good ambience and very modern décor on the inside. The Garden Lettuce Salad was very good and fresh with a nice ginger dressing. The Coconut Shrimp was a bit dry and we thought the Lettuce Wrap, Alaskan Roll and Chesapeake Rolls were very salty. Service was very good. Lots of parking. Our total bill before tip was $52 including 1 beer and 1 ice tea.
The food at Saketume is always delicious. The menu has diverse selections for every palette.
You should ask for seating in the front section of the restaurant for the best service. If you are seated in the bar area or the restaurant our experience is that the service will be slower and you will not get the attention from the waitstaff that you should expect.
Used to be our favorite Japanese Sushi Restaurant....but no more! We go there 4 or 5 times a year and sit at the sushi counter and ask Chef Tanaka to give us sashimi dinner of his choice...and every time he presented a wonderful array of fish beautifully presented. It costs us anywhere between $150 and $200 but was well worth it.
This past saturday, we made our reservation for the counter, sat there and asked for the same...Obviously he was not a happy man for some reason and refused to do it and told us to order from the menu as he was too busy. He claimed he was too busy and refused....we were surprised at his attitude, but we ordered several shashimi fish. It took over an hour to get a miserable plate of paper thin slices of fish and we were disgusted. We left hungry, and our bill was barely $100 due to the drinks we had before the horrible plate came. We will never come back and would not recommend this place to our friends and will go back to the Cultured Pearl. At least we never got attitude there and their fish was thicker than a 1/8th! Very disappointed. Thank goodness for the good nature of the server who was pleasant and nice...but as for what the resturant might have done to or the reason for Tanaka's behavior in this industry is inexcusable.
My favorite place for sushi in Rehoboth! Off Rt. 1 so no need to deal with traffic downtown. Happy hour from 4-6 and it always gets packed so go early. Excellent $5 drinks including Cosmo and discount sushi. LOVE it here!
