This is BY FAR our favorite pre-play spot to enjoy a great dining experience. We have never been disappointed. The staff is very accommodating and food excellent. I can't wait for our next play!
Good atmosphere, attentivley service, good food, we enjoyed
Went to a business breakfast meeting. The food was good but the service was horrendous. 20 minutes just to get a coffee for the table.
The food and service are always excellent. SB never disappoints. It's a theater district gem.
Food was great. Wine perfect. Service great. Prices moderate.
This was my second visit to Saju Bistro.
Our server was kind and sweet, but not great. She never asked if we were seeing a show, which we were. I told her we were when our entrees arrived late. She continued to not use expediency and we had to remind her again when we ordered dessert. Until she is up to speed, she should not be working during dinner theatre time.
Restaurant came highly recommended. It’s very pretty and great location if going to the theater.
Service was poor, waited for bread, drinks way too long. The mussels had no flavor and when we told the waiter he wisked the plate away and never asked if I wanted anything else. When I finally got to speak with him he said he was doing his best. Other dishes were good but there are just too many other restaurant options to take the risk.
This is probably my 8th time coming to dine. Always consistent service, great food and atmosphere. Each time I come I bring new friends with me so they can experience the same great time that I always have.
I was disappointed by my experience here. It was my first time dining here and it was just okay. Our server did not know the menu and what items were part of the brunch menu and which ones were not. We asked for something warm to drink and she gave us a blank stare — not offering any suggestions. She might have been new. If that was the case, she was poorly trained. The food was something I could have whipped up in my own kitchen. Not really worth the price or the time. I probably won’t return.
Good food, reasonable prices, great pre-theater meal.
Consistently great food and great service! bistro Saju is one of my go-to places!! I highly recommend it
Sister’s dinner before theater
Always a great place! Perfect for pre or post-theatre!
Great service and the best French onion soup I’ve had in a long time. My husband as I thoroughly enjoyed everything we had.
This is a solid bistro in the middle of the theater district. Food was good if not outstanding. Not authentic but close enough and in some ways an improvement over typical Paris bistro fare. Good wine selection and very engaging and accommodating service. Prices are what is expectable (expensive) for midtown Manhattan. Convenience and service with good enough food makes it likely will return
Great meal. Great service. Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed it. Everyone had a nice time 100%.
This is a charming and cozy restaurant with outstanding food and service. We arrived late for our reservation due to traffic. Yet they accommodated us and even made sure we were able to leave in time to get to our show on time! Highly recommend!!
Once again, a lovely experience. Delicious food, attentive service, great ambience.
Great food at very reasonable prices for NYC. A nice wine list with a great reserve list. Excellent service. Could have more options for vegetarians.
Our favorite dining spot in the Theater District! Always have a drink or two at the bar and a chat with the one-and-only Abdel who makes the visit worthwhile from the get-go. The food, particularly the seafood, is always fresh and excellently prepared. We'll be back . . . again and again.
Good food and service; come often to this resturant, is consistently a winner!
Very nice place with ambience close
To theatres. Food was delicious, the service was very good. Highly recommend.
We always look forward to dining at Saju. Absolutely, love the mules.
The chicken prosciutto special was amazingly flavorful and moist.
My wife’s chicken dish with mushrooms was equally as good.
Friendly attentive service
HIGHLY recommend for not only pre or post theater but ANYTIME. A hidden mid town gem and touch a France.
Excellent restaurant, but to avoid chairs with wooden seats, seek to sit on banquet.
Meal well prepared and timely for theatre.date.
Service was excellent... considerate and bright personality.
Came here with 2 hungry teenagers. Fabulous food & service. Recommend!
My friend and I went out for a delicious brunch. I had Salade Nicoise which was excellent and very filling. My friend had goat cheese tart elected which came with a small salad. She enjoyed it very much. Our server was excellent and allowed us to sit and chat without rushing us. The ambiance is very charming.
Always great for a pre-Broadway dinner. Service is great and never feels rushed.
It was an amazing experience, been here many times and I am never disappointed.
Great place for lunch and brunch in the theater district.
Food was excellent as well as exceptional service in getting us to a broadway show without stress.
As usual, the food and service were terrific. We had the duck special, which was yummy, and the risotto was luscious. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but it's a good pre-theater bet. We eat here often.
Kind of old and dusty atmosphere. Menu variety and service were good.
We had the onglet, which was much better than in previous visits. It was always good, but prepared and presented in a much nicer way this time...smaller portion, sauce on the side, more elegant. Also had the Tarte au Citron, which was amazing!
Always love the food. Service very prompt and professional, but warm.
Just wish that, after at least 50 visits in the last 3 years, there was some recognition when I arrive.
Whenever we have theater tickets we make sure to make a reservation and have dinner at Sanju Bistro. Great food, service, ambiance and a very welcoming staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. Always a delicious meal !
This restaurant was recommended by friends for a meal before a Broadway show. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this to a friend.
