We had a very nice pre-theater lunch. Once we made waiter aware of our plans she was respectful of our time and kept our meal on track with out any pressure. The menu choices are vast, so something for everyone.
Saju Bistro is my "go to" place to dine before a Broadway show. Great food and outstanding service. I highly recommend this restaurant. And don't forget to check out the amazing desserts!
second time to eat there and it was as good as the first. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful service and impeccable food.
We, 6 of us, 100% enjoyed our visit; appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks and service all were excellent
Great meal. Wonderful service. We started with the country pate which was delicious. My husband ordered the
Rabbit and I had the Boullibase. Both dishes were flavorful
and cooked to perfection. A terrific meal
Weekend getaway to see a Broadway play and located this nearby French restaurant! What a treat and the escargot was dreamy delicious!!!
Food was absolutely wonderful! We had mussels to start and for entrees the rabbit and a squid ink linguine special. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Reliable theater district French restaurant- good bistro style food- Excellent onion soup and tart tatin, and they will get you out for your curtain.
Always reliable midtown restaurant. A great choice if you are going to the theater - the staff will ask the curtain time.
Perfect not only for pre theatre but anytime.
Great place to dine in Manhattan. We made our reservation through OpenTable. We arrived a few minutes early for our reserved time but had no problem being seated. The reservation worked perfectly. We had no wait for our table. The waiter was awesome. He was courteous and had a great sense of humor. The food came in a timely manner and we were all very pleased with our choices. The prices were reasonable for Manhattan dining. I would recommend trying it.
We went for breakfast early on Saturday morning, so the place was quiet and the service was immediate. My eggs Benedict were pretty good but my wife absolutely raced over the French toast “Best I’ve ever had”. We are repeat customers, having been here a couple of times for Sunday brunch. We will definitely keep it on our list of favorites.
It was decent-nothing to rave about, but decent.
Saju is one of my favorite
Restaurants In the theater district. I go there often
It was our first experience and we were not disappointed.
Our waitress was very pleasant and attending.
Could not have been better!
We stayed at Hotel Mela which was right next door. I ordered an omelette, hash browns and toast that was out of this world delicious! I highly recommend this place.
Everything was so delicious. We went for brunch ( pre theatre) We enjoyed a pre fixe meal. Some of us ordered omelettes that were light and fluffy, accompanied by an arugula salad and toast. The brunch included a glass of wine which was delicious. Others ordered French toast and loved it. We all enjoyed the brunch and plan to return!
Definitely go back
Wonderful little bistro. The food was delicious and our server was excellent. Nice location between Grand Central and Time Square
A terrific meal convenient to theaters! A terrific break from the hectic vibe of midtown.
Great place for dinner in the theatre district. went on a saturday night- was not noisy and could easily have a conversation across the table. Had a lovely menu and great specials. I had the provencale calamari and a beet/burrata special app (split between 2 of us) and we had the linguine with saffron/sea food and mushroom risotto dinner spesicals. Both were delicious. Had a good wine and beer menu at decent prices (for NYC). If you like french food, I would highly recommend. I would go back the next time I am in the city.
Great place for a pre-theater dinner. Right off Times Square in a friendly setting.
Very attentive service. Salmon dishes for two guests were fair. Otherwise food was fine. Overall a pleasant pre-theater evening.
Our visit to Saju was as delightful and satisfying as always. The food was well prepared and presented, authentic, and wide ranging enough to easily satisfy the varying diets at our table (vegan, vegetarian, low carb). Great service is one of the hallmarks of Saju in my opinion and it was up to its excellent standards during this visit. Wait staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Also helpful and attentive without hovering. We were never left waiting for anything. The dining room itself was as charming as ever. Welcoming and comfortable, and pretty without being precious or cloying. Saju is one of my absolutely favorite restaurants, whether or not I'm going to the theatre!
Wonderful food and ambience.
I haven’t been to Saju Bistro in many years and was disappointed in my visit the other night. They no longer have the pre theater dinner that was well priced. Our food was good, especially the hangar steak and the chocolate bread pudding, but the service was lackluster and we had to wait too long for our food. We may just have hit an off night but I don’t think this will be my go to place before dinner anymore.
We sat and had a lovely breakfast on New Year's Day and began to point out all the tables we had dined at over the years. This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant with an excellent Parisian ambiance.
We will visit again and again.
Simply awesome. Great food, good service and nice people. What else is there?
Always an excellent meal at Saju. Combined with welcoming and accommodating management and staff, great service and lovely decor, this is one of our pre- /post- theater favorites.
We went there for a pre-theatre meal. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.
I love this restaurant and visit every time I get to NY. The food is fresh and flavorful, the portions are generous but not too large, and it's a great value. I especially live the homemade pasta and wild boar ragu. We had a child with us - a bit of a picky eater - the server was patient and creative and my granddaughter enjoyed her specially designed meal. I have also enjoyed breakfast here...best breakfast in the city!!
Locale molto accogliente stile europeo. Un buon compromesso tra cucina francese italiana e americana. Servizio buono. Tavolo comodo. Ambiente un bel po’ rumoroso, per chiacchierare bisognava davvero alzare la voce. Buona carta dei vini. Zona super centrale
Reliably good food and service.
A theatre district gem.
Dinner and service were unremarkable
Saju Bistro has a great midtown location.
The menu was comprehensive but lots of daily specials.
The winter salad of beets, goat cheese, and figs was delicious.
As was the puttanesca which you don't see on alot of menus.
The staff was very accommodating and all smiles.
I've been to Saju Bistro on every visit to NYC and it will continue to be a go to spot for brunch or dinner when I'm visiting.
Thanks so much.
Pre-theater brunch was excellent. Not too crowded or noisy, good ambience and ample spacing between tables. Great variety of menu selections, reasonably priced for Theater District, all very tasty and well prepared. Service was superb - attentive, personable but not overly done. All in all, a great place for a pre- or post- theater meal, or even a non-theater meal.
Always a favorite with our family before a show. Lovely staff and very good French fare. The Prosecco is also good and quite reasonably priced by the bottle. Consistently fabulous!!!
The waiter had an attitude and was a drama queen. No attention to refilling water or coffee. Place should close for breakfast
Great service and conversation with wait staff. Checked on our table often and didn’t wait long for our food or check. Food was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend for any type of dinner occasion.
