Saint Rocco's at Trinity Groves
Such a wonderful experience! This restaurant was recommended by a friend for my family and I to celebrate graduation. The service was exquisite, the food was phenomenal and authentic, and the drink menu was amazing! Will definitely be returning soon!
I met 2 two girlfriends there at 5. They had just opened and it was totally empty. Soon it began to fill up with other guests. But instead of spreading everyone out in the room they set everyone together along the back wall. They set a group of 8 by us that wEre so loud we couldn't hear each other. We probably left earlier than we would have due to the noise. It was a Thursday night. When we left at 7 it still was not crowded.
Great place. Wonderful food and service. Very clean. Can't wait to go back
We came on Mother's Day at 6:45 (with a reservation) and were seated immediately. The restaurant was not full and there seemed to be plenty of help. Our order was taken fairly promptly. Our appetizer came out quickly. Then there was a very big delay with our entree. When we finally got our waiter's attention to ask, he said that a lot of orders went in at once and they would be out soon. I was seated facing the entrance and not very many people came in after us. My issue was that he never looked at our table when he walked by to serve the tables around us. I was a waitress for a number of years. I was trained to never just ignore a table especially when empty dishes were sitting on it. Had he stopped by to pick up any plates or ask about a drink refill (that never happened) as he went back and forth with nothing in his hands, he could have found out we were unhappy earlier. We asked to have two small plates of leftovers packed together to take home, but the kitchen decided for us that only one plate was worth saving. We were given a free dessert to take home, but I would have preferred my leftovers for lunch the next day. All in all it was a sort of disappointing experience when it didn't have to be based on the overall level of business in the restaurant. The food was good and the ambiance was nice. But it turned into almost a 2 hour dinner!
This used to be one of my favorite places. The food is exceptional, but service has gotten worse. In fact? After Friday’s poor service, I may not return.
meal and atmosphere was great. I will be going back
Excellent food--the 4-meat Lasagna is really special and the french fries with truffle oil a fantastic appetizer
The food wasn't great and needed some work but the service was excellent. I'm willing to give them another try because of the service. The manager talk to us about what they can improve with their food and personally invited us back which I'll take her up on that offer. I really appreciate when a restaurant really tries to improve and listens to its customers.
Had a great night! Victor was a great server!
Our server was great, atmosphere was good. the lobster ravioli and Cesar salad was really good but the ribeye steak had very little flavor and was over cooked for medium rare.
Food was delicious and the server knew the menu very well. Everything from the appetizers to the salads to the entrees were delicious!
Very good food and nice atmosphere! The prices are very reasonable!
Saint Rocco has a lovely relaxed ambiance. The decor is attractive and not too fussy. The food is DELICIOUS!! Everyone of our party of four order a different dish and we were all exceptionally pleased with our meals. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. You literally have to wave your arms frantically to get any waitstaff persons attention. They literally go out of their way to not notice a patron needing something. Also, you rarely see the staff on the floor monitoring the diners. They bring the food or beverage and disappear. Management really needs to get a handle on the service. Food FABULOUS service POOR!
Food was really good - Parmesan Sole, Braised Pot Roast and Veal were all really good. Just wished that the server checked on us more often.
Out of town friend
Service was really disorganized.
We sat outside.
Drinks were not cold enough. We ordered 2 bottles of wine asking to bring it really chilled. Not cold enough. In hopes the second bottle would chill more while we drank the first one. Not cold enough.
Apps came out without a problem. There was a 30 minute wait for second course. They gave our salads to another table. Main course was another 30 minutes. This is after the dishes cleared.
This was not a busy evening.
Our first visit was was not impressive.
Food was poor. Service was poor. No one was there. Highly disappointed for Easter with my family.
I think my experience was different because they were offering an Easter buffet at the time. I didn’t get to explore the menu but it has an awesome view and the breeze was lovely. The waiters kept your table neat and cups filled.
Didn’t know it wasn’t the whole menu till we arrived. First time here do didn’t get to experience the true food. Hope to be back.
Service was spot one. The Cabrese Salad was fresh, cold and delicious. The Chicken Marsala was tender and went great with the Orzo Pasta.
The zucchini chips start the dining experience off with a bang.
Little over priced for the food. Food was ok but not worth the price. Waiter took awhile to ask us if we were for out main dish. My dish was literally scolding hot. The juice/liquid in my dish burned my tongue so bad I had white blisters on part of my tongue.
The service was outstanding and food was delicious. Definitely recommend this place.
I had read several mixed reviews about the service but we had great service and the food came out really quickly! It was delicious as well! Definitely will be back!
Attentive service and a fantastic pasta dinner. The bread is the best I’ve had.
This was the most amazing food I have ever eaten.
Service was above and beyond.
My daughters new favorite place.
This is a musts try.
We went for my daughter’s birthday. The truffle fries are amazing! The Caesar salad is delicious! If you want to split it, get the large. The small is side salad size. Everyone enjoyed their meal! The lobster ravioli is fabulous! We picked the brownie dessert for the birthday girl and we didn’t really like it. The upstairs bar is a great place to go take pics of the Dallas skyline! Been craving the Caesar salad since Saturday night! Lol
Husband’s birthday. Would have liked some special recognition of that ..song, dessert etc.
Food was good but a little greasy, service is really nice!
I've been to Saint Roccos about 8 times. This time, the food was not as good as it used to be. Service was interesting. My party went to the bathroom immediately upon arrival and they refused to seat us because of our incomplete party. There were only 3 other occupied tables in the entire restaurant. I was carded 3 times for my drink. I'm 36 years old. It was cute the first time, not the 2nd or the 3rd. Again, food was okay - nothing to write home about. Service was lackadaisical. Shame - cute place.
Great food and great service. Will definitely go back next time we visit Dallas.
It was great, as usual. Good atmosphere, great food and service. One of my favorite places in Dallas.
1st time here for daughters birthday. Everything was great! Food excellent as well as service. Will dine here again!!!
I had a GREAT experience here. The staff was amazing and I even got a free dessert for my birthday!! My waitress was so nice and sweet. I will definitely return
Everything was great except for the temperature. It was FREEZING. Not just to me, but our whole table thought it much too cold. We asked to change tables, and found a table that was better, but still too cold. We asked our server, she agreed it was too cold, said they had already asked to warm it up, but she would ask again. It got better as the night went on, and I appreciate that.
Very pedestrian food...Mass-Market quality...Unappealing plating...
Ate at Bar, where staff was excellent. Made the night enjoyable. Disappointing otherwise.
Went on a Sunday evening for dinner. The restaurant is missing a great opportunity for diners to have a wonderful downtown view by covering the windows with awnings. The decor is nice but unorginal. The red, black, and white color scheme, tomato sauce tins decorating the walls, and black and white photos of random people are all predictable. The food is pricey for the quality. Sorry, but $18.39 for mediocre spaghetti and meatballs is not worth it. The tomato sauce served with the bread is bland. The other dinners we ordered were good, but again the prices are a little high for the quality. The service at the end was slow. We had to ask another waiter to run our credit card because our waiter never returned to our table.
The food was fantastic. I love their sauce and their pasta is great. However, on my last trip I was a little disappointed with the service. I had used open table to make my reservation and I had placed in the comment section that my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived neither did the hostess or our waitress acknowledge that we were celebrating our anniversary. It is not the end of the world; however, it is nice when the staff picks up on these little details that really make your night special. We will still go back to Saint Rocco's because we the love the food.
Beautiful environment, excellent food and service definitely recommend to friends and family
