Service was slow.
Salad was drenched in dressing and when I asked for a replacement it was just as bad.
Chicken Parmesan was tough and too thick.
Bread was over toasted.
I'd skip this place!
Had a drink at Rocco’s rooftop then headed downstairs for a quick pizza. Waiter was extremely friendly and prompt. The zucchini chips were excellent along with the bread and red sauce which both were complementary. The pepperoni pizza was delicious. Highly recommend!
Okay. Felt like a nicer version of buca de bepo with the same clientele. Not what I expected. Service was slow at times despite there were only 8 tables seated. Place was dead at 9:30 on Friday night.
Drink wasn’t good at all, I asked to switch it out for a glass of Pinot. Not sure when house wine became $16 a glass? Braised pork was dry, other than that, good. The best part was the bread and sauce they provided once we sat down.
Always a pleasure to dine here. The food is great, the staff is awesome and the owner always stops by to say Hi.
Good variety of food on the menu. My cream of mushroom soup was tasty but was brought out a bit cold. Ordered the Veal parm and it was tasty. The portions were also generous.
Fun place for a birthday dinner! Don't skip the truffle fries!!!
Service was great. Food was even better!
We thought the service was awesome and ambience was Italian. However the food was nothing to write home about.
I am from the Northeast -- and consider St. Rocco's the very best true southern Italian in Dallas. The vibe, service and of course the food combine to make this place an absolute favorite restaurant for us.
The service was very good and the food was outstanding! We really enjoyed the Italian margaritas!
The food was good but I thought a little bit overpriced. The service was average.
Everything was great. Good parking and valet. Great service. Perhaps the best skyline view of Dallas on the 3rd floor bar.
Best of all... THE FOOD. This is the only place in Dallas on par with the best places in the Little Italy of NYC or Boston. If you have been to Italy you know real Italian food is not what you find in most places with the sign out front.
The antipasti was amazing - the Baratta cheese is from Italy.
Both our entrees were spot on.
The wine list was solid. Some good values in Italian imports in particular.
Desert was fun and a nice finish.
Our dinner was fabulous as well as the service. We spent a lot of time having appetizers, dinner and desserts and never felt like we were being rushed. It was an awesome meal amongst friends.
Great experience. Loved the food, the service, the many choices of wine, the environment.
Great ambiance, and wonderful food! The meatballs were delicious!
We had an amazing time! The staff was friendly and the food was delicious!! We were amazed at how quickly everything was served and still fantastic quality! We’ll definitely be returning.
Lobster bisque, lasagna, and pot roast were all excellent-- as good as any I have had. Nice evening view of Dallas from the rooftop lounge.
Great food and service. Atmosphere fits the Italian cuisine.
Saint Roccos is a wonderful restaurant with excellent quisine and a fabulous wine list. Can't wait to go back.
Wonderful food with exceptional service. Staff knowledgeable about the selections on the menu. Highly recommended!!
Our waiter was on point and helpful, the lasagna was so delicious and was a pretty big serving, worth the money and we will definitely be back.
I thought my food was great, except for my dessert. I had the chocolate cake and felt like the cake should have been served warmed. Also, my husband had the braised pork and it was a little overcooked around the edges, but overall he enjoyed the dish.
Fantastic atmosphere! Friendly service and very attentive! Fabulous food!
I brought my wife here for our early Valentine’s Day and the food, wine, and service was great! I would highly recommend this place.
We opted for a date night in Trinity Groves and went for Italian. We’ve been on the rooftop for late night drinks before so we decided to give dinner a try. Walking, hostess was reading a book; she saw us walked in and had a proper greeting and I informed her I had an OT rez and it’s like her eyes had to finish the last sentence in the book.. and then she closed her book and looked it up in system. Odd... We are seated and the service was great throughout- no complaints there. Now PASTA- I love. But here, I didn’t love. One would think with a chicken and mushroom cream sauce pasta- u can’t go wrong, right? Well it wasn’t wrong, but it wasn’t great. I asked for a sub of linguini pasta, I got it. I felt like it was pasta from a box and I wish it was house made. Maybe it was, but didn’t seem like it. My chicken was so bland, no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. My peas had more flavor than the chicken. And the cream sauce- just that. Nothing amazing. My date had the Rocco’s pizza, added sausage. His first bite, he said was burnt but realized it was just the outer portion. He said the sausage made the pizza and I’d say it was from the fennel; superb flavor to it. We wouldn’t recommend here for dinner but we would come back for drinks on rooftop again. Also, counted 3 bearded guys in the kitchen cooking, no beard net. Scary.
Really good Italian food and very attentive service. Thought the prices were too steep though. Nothing on the menu really qualified for the high prices. I had mentioned in my Open Table reservation that it was my mother's birthday, but the restaurant never acknowledged it. Good wine list, but they could offer more wines by the glass.
Server was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Wine was very good. Food was mediocre at best. So many better places to eat in Dallas, why does this one have so many stars? I don’t get it.
The dining room is very nice! We were seated promptly, but it felt like no one was assigned to our table, so we got off to a slow start. However, once that was sorted out, the service was very good, as was the food. We were going to the theater after, so were under a little bit of a time crunch, and the servers were very respectful and helpful in timing our meal perfectly.
I don't often choose Italian cuisine when considering dining options, but this was very good. I ordered the 6 hour pot roast for my entree, which was kind of unexpected for an Italian restaurant. It's served on a bed of couscous. I highly recommend it - it was delicious!!
Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was okay. Got a little bit too much pepper on my salad. I think the roof view on a warmer night would be fantastic. Experience was okay but definitely New York Italian feel. Fun location for sure!
Overpriced for the food and experience. Service was poor from start to finish, as was the food.
Too loud, food wasn’t special
We shared a salad and the Veal Parmesan. It was all delicious. Our waiter seemed really new but was friendly and gave solid service with just a few hiccups. The at atmosphere is fun and i would definitely go back to try more things.
Good food but a little pricey
We Loved Saint Rocco's. BIG flavors and ample portions. It was a party of 5 and everyone was delighted. These are OLD school rock solid Italian dishes. Rich and fulfilling without over doing it. Starting with a large loaf of Italian bread and a bowl of Marinara. The Sicilian Lasagna ROCKED and Chicken Marsala melted in your mouth. Topped with fun desert. The spumoni was a step away from traditional but so yummy. Gotta get back for the 2nd floor view of Downtown this summer.
I can always count on this place for good food (large portions, so think ahead when ordering) and a friendly experience. Parking is becoming a hassle as more and more folks have discovered Trinity Groves.
Saint Rocco’s was delicious! We waited for a waiter for about 10 minutes and the manager apologized and gave us a free appetizer! Service was impeccable. Shout out to the men and women ALWAYS keeping our water full! :)
I am originally from Chicago and this was my first time at St. Rocco's...it will not be my last. What a great meal! I felt like I was at my grandma"s house.
This was our 2nd visit to restaurant, about 5 months apart. The first time we ate there were thought the food was terrific. Four of us dined and all ordered something different and were all pleased. Second time.... not so much. This appears to be getting ready for "take off" for expansion, as they have "dumbed" down the flavors in the dishes. Drinks are mediocre, though they have a special drink menu. Service was lacking. At one point after finishing cocktail and having salad. We sat for about 20 minutes without our glass of wine, bread or anything else on the table . No one stopped by once to check on us. Too many other options... won't go back.
