Saint Lawrence (St. Lawrence)
We really enjoyed our dinner at Saint Lawrence. Edward was hilarious and extremely helpful!
Fried chicken is Fabulous!! Service was great too! We recommend!!
Awesome service and low key ambience—great for friends gathering...
Great food. Amazing beer menu and a friendly efficient wait staff! Won't break the bank!
Edward was great!
Great beer selection- fried chicken was amazing! !
Get for late night after a concert
Our service was excellent! Very attentive and she was able to split the bill for 10 people. The food was a little lackluster. I ordered the fried chicken and it needed a ton of hot sauce for flavor. It was pretty bland without it. Many people at the table ordered shrimp po’ boys and there wasn’t a big amount of shrimp on them. Do not order the Pimms Cup- it was too sweet.
A gem on the riverside edge of the French Quarter. After nearly a week in NOLA, we were in the mood for some classic southern food, and boy did Saint Lawrence deliver! After a bowl of their amazing gumbo, we shared the fried chicken platter (three delicious pieces with collard greens and mashed potatoes with gravy) and a small serving of mac and cheeze. Everything was excellent, good value and tasty. We also enjoyed happy hour discounts on wine and local draft beer. Every server we interacted with was friendly and helpful, especially Trace. We might not have tried it based on appearance from the street, but we're glad we did! Outstanding food!
Awesome authentic food, great wine selection
Terrible. Uncooked fish and mice running around. Waitress said the there are many mice
Food was great. Never had a ruder waitress. Slamming plates, throwing drinks at people. I won’t go back if I see her in the restaurant.
Madeline was super great! Food was tasty!
Although a good option with a lot of people and kids, the food was just not great. I had the catfish, which was super watery. On the other hand, the shrimp was good. Service was great, especially considering the large party. Others in the group thought the food ranged from OK to good, but no one said great.
Great food! Nice staff! Cool menu!
The service was so slow and the good was not good.
We read good reviews but after walking inside, we weren't sure if we wanted to stay - not too upscale. We're glad we did as the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, & greens were fantastic and Ramona was very nice to us. We'll be back next time in town!
Great environment, great food, good drinks! Highly recommend.
A nice restaurant, locate off a major French Quarter area street. It removed enough from busy areas and close enough to feel like greater excitement is just block away. The food wasn't amazing, but was good enough for the price and I would return for the drinks and feel of the restaurant.
Service was great as well as the food even during Mardi Gras!
Great food in an unexpected location. Stopped in here for dinner and enjoyed a grilled salad.
The waitress was great. We worried because the menu recently changed and we had pre selected items. Recommendations were made by our waitress and they were delicious. The Gish and chips, fried chicken and red beans and rice were delicious. Highly recommend it for a valuable casual dinner
My fiancé and I were visiting from Chicago and made reservations here for Valentine’s Day. We got there at about 6pm to enjoy happy hour; it was a little quiet surprisingly. We started out with the gumbo and the fried oysters. Oysters were excellent and perfectly seasoned. Gumbo was good but a little watery. Still had good flavor. Then we shared the seafood platter. Killed everything but left half the fried catfish behind. Highly recommend this place.
The food was amazing. We enjoyed the fried chicken, seafood linguine, steak sandwich and po-boy. The service was so-so.
Good food. All around good experience
NYEve great service and perfect table for the fireworks! Our sever was amazing!!!
We are locals and this place was a great find. The food is absolutely delicious! Will definitely go back.
Great service and food was awesome.
Fried oysters were great and I'm not even a big oyster fan. Fried chicken was a lot (3 pieces), the best was excellent. Crust very tasty and the meat was very juicy and delicious. Definitely recommend.
Went for New Year’s Eve dinner and they had a pre set menu. Appetizer, meal, and dessert was $28 per person. My husband and my brother each got that (one got prime rib and the other got fried chicken). The fried pickles (appetizer) were some of the best I’ve ever had. I opted for crawfish Mac n cheese from their appetizer menu. Super yummy! The only down side was that our waitress forgot we existed so we couldn’t order second drinks and waited a while for our check. Still a great experience!
We waited more than an hour for our food despite having a reservation. The restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived but it took 10 minutes for anyone to bring us water and take drink orders. They were out of most of menu items and my sandwich, the cheesesteak, came out looking as if it came out of the garbage. Menu items are not as pictured online.
We went to this restaurant yesterday and were somewhat disappointed. Service was slow but the owner kept checking in on us. Two of us had the Quinoa Bowl with fish. The fish was seasoned wonderfully but the rest was very bland. Two others had the gumbo and they didn’t think it was seasoned that well either. We talked to our waitress and they were very kind and took off the Quinoa bowls. The rest of the food was good.
It was an interesting experience at the St. Lawrence. The staff there is impeccable and they aim to please. Despite having problems with their chef the staff gave us a great Christmas dinner. The buffalo oysters and the shrimp po'boy are worth the trip alone. The ribs were good and were glazed to perfection. I wouldn't bother with the corn bread but the greens were good. I would go back for sure, even just to see the wonderful staff!
Had an 8:15 reservation and were excited to try a new place. Unfortunately they were out of everything - even rice!?! Not sure how that’s possible, but was a big disappointment. Service was slow and inattentive- never asked if we’d like another drink or offered refills of water. What a letdown.
Christmas Eve dinner with the family. Staff was great, food was outstanding and great prices. I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mashed potatoes. Best fried chicken and greens I’ve ever had.
Great food and service. Kitchen is going strong late at night.
The Thanksgiving Special was terrific. Maybe (probably) the best turkey I’ve ever had. We showed up early and sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice we decided to skip the table. So glad we went there.
The staff at St. Lawrence was super kind and atmosphere, very friendly! Would not recommend getting a meal there, but snacks like the fried oysters were worth it.
Good food and a nice place to gather with friends.
We made reservations and went to this restaurant on Thanksgiving day. The restaurant was not overly crowded. Which is why we could not understand why it took so long for our food to come. Then when the meals arrived The po boy sandwiches were cold as well as the onion rings. My son was so hungry he ate the cold sandwich. My husband sent his back. My other son did not like his gumbo there was no meat that was amenable. We asked to speak to management she was very accommodating in that she took the meals off of our bill. She also offered a complimentary desert. Our overall experience ruined our Thanksgiving meal. We came all the way from Buffalo, New York to be disappointed.
