Excellent great food and service
Everything was perfect: food, wine
Great food a little loud at first. Good service. Overall very good.
Great food, great value, and would highly recommend
Charming bistro. Terrific. Food, ambiance, service
Great Bartender, table service was a little rushed
delicious, beautiful and effortlessly elegant yet comfortable.
A little slice of Paris in Westchester, and one of our best restaurants. The improved wine list is superb and fairly priced. The food is extraordinary. Great rainbow trout, and the best steak frites in the area. Excellent bistro food.
I have been to St George many times and it is usually a 5-star review from me. Not this time. The ambience was gruesome. The restaurant was stuffy and lacking in air exchange. The air quality was so poor we ate fast so we could get out of the restaurant. I am not talking about the temperature but the complete lack of ventilation. It was suffocating. It was also much too warm. Never again.
We always enjoyed the food, the service, the atmosphere.
We took my brother and sister in-law, out of towners
They were quite please with St George. Each had a different appetizer
and a different entree. My rainbow trout was excellent.
solid execution. a local favorite. delivers on classic French bistro vibe and aesthetic. excellent beverage program including a range of wines by the glass, absinthe service, and a solid bar with various gems. if you're looking for a trophy wine, bring your own.
Great ambiance, food and people!
Cozy and charming spot with delicious classic French dishes and an outstanding cocktail menu.
We love eating at Saint George. The cuisine and atmosphere make you think that you are in Paris at a quaint neighborhood bistro.
And the service is excellent
Food was excellent!! The best Coq au vin I’ve ever had and the rest of the entrees were fantastic too! Our 16 month old tipped our fully set table and most of the dishes/ glasses crashed to the floor. We were mortified but, our waiter and bus boy handled it with such grace. They were so nice, cleaned everything up without missing a beat. Such lovely people!! We will definitely be going back since I cannot wait to try other food on the menu, will wait for a date night though.
Menu and atmosphere are very nice, service was attentive and friendly. Food was slightly disappointing - coq au vin was very salty, onion soup very sweet.
A nice quiet Brunch with a close friend. The food was great. We got escargot, Trout Hollandaise and steak and eggs. The escargot was nice and garlicky, the bread was a nice size to dip into the pan wells. The trout was light and fresh. Eggs were poached perfectly. I would have like more bacon in the trout but still overall very well made. The steak and eggs were on point. The sirloin was cooked medium rare and very tender. I would recommend the Bloody Mary vs the mimosa. I wished we ordered the muscles but that will be for next visit. Overall, great experience, a nice local place that you can enjoy going to every week!
Rarely do you have such a gourmet experience in which you savor every dish. We knew instantly from the first bite to the presentation that this was fine dinning to another level. Can't wait to return and try whatever else we didn't have. - YES, it's that good..
Second time back, my boyfriend and I love the entire experience. Service is attentive, but never intrusive. Perfectly timed. The food is delicious, cocktails very well balanced. Can’t wait to come back!
Amazing experience. Excellent food, ambiance and service. Will definitely visit again. Escargot, beef tartare, beef bourguignon, trout, cheese platter and crème brûlé were outstanding and well priced. The wine list is great. Parking was easy to find on Saturday evening.
We had a lovely evening - food was delicious, staff was attentive, ambiance was perfect to allow birthday celebration with friends
Menu was limited but what we had was very good. The country pate was very salty, would have loved a duck pate. I don't recall a salad.
The tablenext tous was very vey loud despite the fact that we had a 545p reservation and the restaurant was not yet full.
Great Food and wonderful intimate atmosphere. Service was fantastic!
We love this neighborhood French bistro with tin ceilings and cosy casual but slight upscale vibe. The food continues to get better. Aunt Annas Gin Old Fashion was perfect last night, super fresh oysters, escargot, coq au vin chicken was perfect falling of the bone in shimmering glazed mushroom and caramelized cipollini onion deliciousness. Husband’s trout plate cleaned .
The cuisine was beautifully prepared; the trout was delicious. It would have benefited with a side like rice pilaf or a potato dish. The menu could definitely use some freshening with more vegetable forward options and lighter, more innovative salads. Also - since the basic menu items don’t change, we’d like to see a “special” - an entree option based on season or market availability.
Good food and nice ambiance.
Really enjoyed the entire experience. We will be back! Thanks!
We felt like we were in Provence. Our server, Carlos, was friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious, from (onion) soup to dessert. One diner ordered a fabulous cocktail.
WE have been eating at Saint George almost weekly since the pandemic has eased.
We feel totally safe, the staff is all vaccinated. The restaurant is charming and the food is well thought out and delicious.
Food was great, great energy in the dining room but it was a little bit loud. Service was efficient but bordered on surly.
We’ve been here several times. The smallish menu is always tasty and varied. Most of us tried the delicious looking trout which didn’t disappoint. Wines are reasonably priced and service was attentive. Don’t miss the chocolate mouse. Outrageous.
Delicious! Great wine and classic French dishes. Loved the outdoor tables with heat lamps and festive evening lights.
Overall everything was pretty good. We started with the oysters and the escargot, which were both very good. For entrees I had the steak frites -- the fries were lukewarm-to-cold but well-prepared, the steak was well-prepared, and the sauce was flavorful but a bit watery and there wasn't much of it on the plate. My companion had the trout, which she said was under-seasoned. But these are relatively small nits on a generally agreeable meal.
My only real complaint is that the wine list is small and not well organized -- there is a small selection of reds and whites by the glass, and then there is a "cellar" section of perhaps half a dozen bottles that are not organized in any apparent manner. Some of them are clear enough -- riesling, champagne, etc. -- but others are more mysterious, such as the wine I ordered whose entire description was "Cote de Beaune," a vintage, and a price consistent with a nice full-bodied Burgundy. But instead of the pinot noir I was expecting, out came a chardonnay. To the restaurant I would say that if the only description of a wine you list on the menu is the name of a region that is famous for red wine, you should probably also indicate that it is not a red wine. (To the server's credit he showed me the bottle before serving it, but I just glanced at the label to make sure it was what I ordered. It was dark enough in the restaurant that I couldn't tell that it was a white wine until after he opened the bottle. Maybe a "hey, I know you're ordering steak and just fyi this is a white wine" might have been helpful in addition to presenting the bottle per usual.)
If not for the wine debacle I would recommend Saint George. Maybe we'll come back if they have a BYOB night.
Cute little bistro. Apetizers and main course were declicious as was the bread.
The soup was a bit salty, but overall a remarkable dining experience.
Good French cooking at a cozy local resturant.
The BEST onion soup in the world!
A truly hidden gem if you like the french cuisine. Mussels and the chicken were amazing!!
Saint Georges is perfection. It ranks up there with Manhattan's Cafe Luxembourg and Odeon. We're so fortunate to have it right here in the Rivertowns.
French bistro vibe. Food is very good. Menu is limited which shows they concentrate on the dishes they are making. A little pricey but worth it. Wine is also very good.
