Saint Felix Hollywood
Waste of time & money
Okay as a bar. Food service was good but food was only okay. Noisy.
Food was pretty good, just took a long time for our server to greet us and then didn’t check on us much even when the restaurant got less busy.
What a fantastic day experience. Wife and I had happy hour last night before our show at Pantages. Tess was our lovely server. She was so knowledgeable about the menu, helped us with my wife’s peanut allergy and gluten-free lifestyle. The cocktails were superb. We each had three Stockholm syndrome. And you must try the steak skewers. Overall I give our experience a 10 outta 10. Thanks Saint Felix for making my date night a total success.
This place needs to go out of business. I've been three times because of its location, and every time I've had to close my bill and leave before ever ordering dinner. Literally every time I've been there is a half hour wait to get a drink from the bar. In the matter of one hour, our table was visited ONCE by our server- who put everything in wrong. I went to the bar and asked if there was something I could do to help. We had been waiting half an hour for a few drinks. Not acceptable. We should have just walked out without paying. There is absolutely zero semblance of any management or oversight. When a business is failing this bad, it needs to go away. Let someone else take over.
It had a fun vibe, the food was delicious. We had a big party and they worked hard making us all happy.
The restaurant was noisy but it was a fun noisy.
Dinner before theater. Cool place but a bit pricey.
Date loved it, but my god was the music loud. Call me a boring old chops.
We had tickets to go see Wicked at Pantages with our teenage kids on January 3rd. Found this neighborhood gem on Open Table. Great Service, Friendly Staff and the videos they were playing on the TV during happy hour were fun (funny) to watch. Just because there's a bar, it doesn't mean that it's for the 21 and over crowd. My teenagers were welcome and the staff treated them like gold. Although I think that after Happy Hour (8:00 PM and later), it's more of an adult club, so plan your trip accordingly.
The menu is friendly for all tastes, including the macaroni and cheese shared plate; they use gouda cheese and it's SINFUL good. My daughter loved the "Damn Yankee Fried Chicken and Waffles".
Next time we go, we're staying for dessert.
The atmosphere was nice and staff were friendly. Food was tasty enough, but service was so slow that most of our meals were served cold. It seems they found it difficult to accommodate a party of 7 in a nearly empty restaurant on a Wednesday evening. It's too bad. This place has real potential.
Do not bring kids
This is a glorified dive bar
Food sounds good on menu and tastes below average
Waiter didn’t write down the order and of course forgot an entire meal 2 times. And someone else’s meal once.
Poor server was all on his own for busy Saturday lunch. Didn’t get salad until after main course. One person didn’t get food until after the rest were done.
Had a great time
Staff was super friendly and helpful
I will be back
We had a wonderful server and things where quiet on a Monday Evening. Great food and cool restaurant.
The kale and Quinoa salads we're awesome .we added the wild Salmon which was cooked to perfection. The Tuna poke appetizer visually looked great and was equally as delicious. They graciously brought us more chips for the appetizer when asked. The Martini was good (Tito's) and the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc aleays good but the pour was a bit on the lite side. We would come back for sure. We forget our Waiter's name but excellent. Friday 8/24
Family reunion for 13 including teenagers from 630 to 830 on a quiet Monday went very well!
I’ve walked past this place several times before when visiting Hollywood and looking for a place to eat, thinking it was just another bar. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Saint Felix offers an enjoyable dining experience right across the street from one of my favorite music venues, The Hotel Cafe. I was dining alone and sampled 3 of the small plates to get a more varied experience. The Thai deviled eggs were tasty, though I could have used just a bit more of the spicy peanut sauce (some extra on the side, perhaps?). The Malaysian beef skewers were delicious, the meat cooked perfectly with 2 different sauces. The homemade potato chips were nice to snack on, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The atmosphere is definitely old-school bar, but it was a nice change from the over-the-top modern vibe at so many places. I will definitely return.
While I enjoyed my meal at Saint Felix, I was surprised at the venue itself. Was not expecting bar type food. Thought it had more tapas. The food we ordered was food. If you are looking for a very laid back, casual place this is for you. Drinks at bar are good and they were very flexible and accommodating to create a personal request. Just was expecting a bit more elegance. But it was close to the Pantages Theater which is great.
Had a wonderful evening here with the lady. Try the tapas sampler platter
Birthday! Awesome food and spectacular service
The chicken and waffles dish was absolutely amazing
Sticky chairs, below average cocktails and mediocre bites.
First time there. Food was good. Service was great. Nice atmosphere.
Came with friends before catching a musical at Pantages. The service was nothing to write about, couldn’t find the server most of the meal. The food was alright - also nothing to write about. The decor is alright, I would give this place a C+.
Sadly, we waited almost an hour for our food for brunch, and all it was was a sampler plate.
I requested a table outside but due to an event the outside area was unavailable. Happy hour is 4-8 which is awesome. The prices are pretty typical for the area. Even with happy hour, appetizers were $8-10. Cost of an entree will run you $15-25 per person. Ambiance is really nice. It’s a bigger location than their West Hollywood location. The waitress we had was really great at refilling our drinks and checking on us.
We had an amazing time !! The food and drinks were excellent and atmosphere was great. Tess, Our server was really awesome. Thanks for a really nice night !!
Rich and Nate.
Dinner before going to The Pantages Theatre. Good happy hour food & drink options. My husband and I are older, but it was entertaining watching the younger/hip crowd.
The best part was our server, Tess -- she's so pleasant and helpful with menu options. We want to go back there not only because of the food, but especially because Tess was the most wonderful server we've ever had!
Honestly, it was ok, the pictures of the decor inside were what drew us in. The place was moderately busy but the music was so loud you could barely hear or call over a waitress. I like a fun atmosphere but it was a little too loud. Thankfully we ordered everything at the same time, but drinks took at least 15-20 minutes to get to us. Food took a really long time too and all we ordered were the deviled eggs, slider trio and 2 tacos. These were small bites and sharing plates and they still took about 45 minutes for us to be served. Eggs were good but the tacos were cold and the sliders were just ok. The fried chicken slider was probably the best but not worth coming back for. Didn't really see our waitress again to see if everything was ok, the bf ordered a double vodka soda since the first single took so long and was mostly ice. Tried it once but won't go back; wouldn't recommend it as a good bar either.
We went there with a 6PM pre-theater reservation and almost missed the 8PM show at Pantages. The service was comically bad with missed drink orders and eons between table visits. The food took forever, both our apps and entrees, and the latter came out lukewarm. This was all of our first visit to this place and I guess it looked like a fun happy hour going on. But forget any plans for a date or pre-theater meal.
Very nice waitress that was forgetful. Food took forever. Very loud.
We are in our early 60s and were easily the oldest people in the restaurant! Had a great server...Grace. Super friendly and very attentive. Food was great. We ordered the mac and cheese, savory corn tamale cakes, Malaysian-style steak skewers, house-cut potato chips and dip, and kobe beef sliders. All were delicious. Only complaint is they were kinda stingy with the dip but we asked Grace for more and it was delivered. Space is a little dark and it's quite loud but the food made it worth it.
We usually go to "the little door" which is next door and we have always been curious about this place that is always busy. Well, now I know why. The food was great, service great and the dessert as to die for. Give this a try...you won't be disappointed.
This was totally not what we expected. We were a bit taken back when we walked in. There was a DJ in the back of the restaurant in a partitioned off area, which we assumed was for a private party and the noise level was such you could not hear one another to talk with. We thought this was nothing more than a bar when we walked in. The food was the real surprise as we all thought the items we ordered were excellent as well as the presentation which was much nicer than in some of the finest restaurants in the city, Our server Mara made this a very enjoyable dinner and was an excellent server.
Excellent service, food and drinks. We were a large group so they set us up out back and the noise level was good. Inside would not have been easy to hear in such a big group.
Great ambiance, friendly service, beautiful presentation, delicious meal. Definitely recommend and will be back.
The cocktails and apps are really good, especially during happy hour prices. So 4 drinks, 1 app, and a burger later= $80
We had a pre-theater lunch and also celebrated my birthday belatedly. We told the server we had reservations but apparently she did not check us in (causing a "no show" trigger with Open Table) There wasn't anybody in the restaurant as they had just opened so reservations were not needed. Lunch was delicious and the dessert fabulous. I took a picture it was so great. Would definietly go again if in the area. Just make sure your name is checked off if you make reservations. By the time we left it was getting busy for St. Patrick's Day.
