About Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar
Designed by LA-based Shimoda Design Group and Harwood Design Team, Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar is the newest restaurant concept and has the largest garden patio in Dallas. Located next to Saint Ann Court, the historic St. Ann’s School was preserved and converted by Harwood International into a restaurant and bar surrounded by gardens and art. It is open for lunch, dinner, brunch, and drinks.
The original structure was built in 1927 as Dallas' first school for Hispanic children. In addition to the original structure, Harwood International has preserved the mural of "Our Lady of Guadalupe" and serves as the focal point in the gardens. The first level of the two-story red brick building is Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar and the second level features The Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection.
We are unable to reserve the patio due to the uncertainty of weather and it will be seated based on reservation and party size.

Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Love the character of the building. Easy parking right across the street. Noise level is too high. Even in the courtyard, it’s difficult to carry on a conversation without yelling. Service is “ok”. Not the friendliest or the timliest. Doesn’t matter if your in the suburbs or the heart of Dallas ....everyone should be welcomed with a warm smile and should feel appreciated for dining there. There are many places to choose for dining.
We ha e been to St Ann's many times. We love the atmosphere of the restaurant. We waited between 45 minutes to sn hour to get our food. It was not a busy night. Our food was served cold. We mentioned it to our waiter and his response was that they could "reheat it". It was very disappointing. We ended up being late for the Nsverick game.
Awesome location and even better spot. Extremely limited bar. I’ve been twice now and food wad bad both times. I had lamb that was over cooked the first time. The second time I had a steak and it was even more over cooked. My wife loves the scallops though. I probably won’t go back.
Went with another couple for our second time here. Dined outside and had a great meal with good service. Highly recommend this restaurant, and since it is only two blocks from our apartment we will go back a lot. Interestingly, I could not make a reservation when I wanted to dine when I called them direct, but there were ample times available on Open Table. Seemed a little odd.
We'll start with the cocktails... we're lovers of great Martinis, which we're very specific on ordering to get them just the way we like "Belveder, 3 olives, dirty, up and so cold you could ice skate on top". They were served in ice cold, copper goblets, but the drink itself was not very cold. I'd give them an 'A' for effort, but 'D' on actual deliverable. We ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye and a special which was Bone-In Pork Chop. I thought the Chicken Fried was a waste of a good Ribeye. If you're a real Chicken Fried Steak lover, go to Babe's. The bone in Pork Chop was very dry, though the waiter warned us it would be if ordered any way other than medium rare to medium (a no-no for pork), duh. I ordered it medium and it was very dry, but flavorful. Saint Anne is a great location with a lot of good people watching and great ambience, but very mediocre food.
The wife and I had a great dinner and a spectacular bottle of wine while sitting on the patio with our little dog (our fur-child). The special on the bottle of wine we drank was especially good, and we will come back to take advantage of the Monday night special again. Always a great place for dinner or brunch.
Food and service both very good. Musical duo excellent and enegetic. Damper on the experience was the volume. Patio roof was closed, and musicians were inside. Volume was painful, and made it impossible to carry a conversation.
This was our first time at the St. Ann. They have a very nice bar for a pre-dinner drink, which can be hard to find these days in restaurants. The restaurant is beautiful and, while it was too cool to sit outside, the indoor ambiance is very nice and not too loud. Our table of 5 was easily able to talk and hear. The food and wait staff were excellent. We plan to go back!
The only hitch in the evening is when the hostess said our reservation was for the bar area, which it was not. She was a little huffy about our insistence on sitting in the dining room. I made my reservation through Open Table and never asked for bar seating.
My meal was OK but my wife really enjoyed her meal. Service was OK too. When he was around he was a good server but he left us for long periods and I was not sure if it was because he thought we needed time on our anniversary or was he that inattentive? My guess is the latter.
Service needs improvement. Food is excellent. Our reservation was made well in advance, but they sat us late and then gave us a specific amount of time we would have for our dinner. I have never been told how much time I'm allowed for my meal in all my dining experiences. Server was also rushing us. They were too busy worrying about the next reservation and how quick they could turn the table.
Just fantastic. The patio is awesomein service and ambience. The live singer was just a wonder surprise. From LA and this reminds me of our quaint restaurants there. The food was fantastic.. all of it. The museum upstairs so cool and fun ! Check it out after your meal.
