All was good this time and over the years, I have had many business meals here. This time, I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad - and unfortunately, the anchovy flavor over-powered the entire salad. I ultimately ate the chicken out of the salad and only finished about 1/8th of the salad leaves. Bummer.
Beyond the salad, all else was wonderful.
Got off to a rough start- I took my daughter to dinner and the hostess sat us in probably the worst table in the place. The were many open tables, but she sat us in a very small table in the corner of the restaurant away from everyone. My daughter and I eat out all the time and quite frankly we were both surprised since there was plenty of wide open tables in the restaurant. Food & atmosphere were great once I asked to be moved to a regular table.
They had live music and it’s so loud there was no way to talk to my brunch companion. The waiter was rude and blew me off when I asked him to see if he could get them to play a little more quietly. Latte was lukewarm. Service was poor. The valet lost my car key and looked for it for 20 minutes.
Sitting on the patio was a wonderful way to have brunch
Everything about this place is awesome! I will definitely be going back on a number of occasions!!!!
Very good food but Service was a bit slow. Great atmosphere.
Really nice staff
Wonderful outdoor dining! Great food. We liked the varied vegetables and sides that came with our (excellent!) entrees. We had a reservation at 11:00am but they were still setting up and weren't quite ready to seat us. Other than that, it was a really good experience.
The (free) Dallas Samurai Museum upstairs is quite good. It isn't large, but there are great pieces with extensive descriptions. Well worth our time. For Spring Break, there were crafts for the kids and calligraphy out by the patio. We will visit again.
Food was good, the hostess and management are incredibly bad. They were not prepared for the number of people and did not respect reservations unless you pushed them. Many tables open yet a very long wait line. If you order apps, expect the rest of the meal very much later.
Busy night because of basketball game in town, but they were slow throughout our stay. Had to continuously ask for things ordered to be delivered. Waitress disappeared. Very poor experience
We made a reservation however servers seemed more interested in helping those at the bar outside from the NCAA Tournament. We saw our waiter once, he never stopped to see if we needed a refill or another round of drinks, he never checked on how our food came out. Because we never saw him we did t even get offered a dessert menu so left after just appetizers. Disappointing for sure since I’ve been here a number of times and recommended it to my dad as where we should eat.
We had dinner here before the NCAA Tournament games at the AAC. They were deluged with fans and the wait staff and bar were overwhelmed. The food was still delicious even though the experience was not up to normal St Ann standards. We will be back. This experience was an anomaly.
They were absolutely slammed during the NCAA tournament...our server got put behind the bar, and no one stopped by our table for 30 mins...to take our food order. I realize they were super busy, but that’s poor form no matter the situation. The table beside us that sat 15 minutes after us had their food before anyone returned to our table to take our order. And that only happened after we stopped another server who was incredibly rude...’can’t you see we’re slammed?’ I can see that I won’t be returning, unfortunate...seemed like it had cool place potential.
Delicious food as always! Food was delivered on time and efficiently. Really really good!
Ambience was probably the best part...service good, food good but was served Luke warm to cool. If the food had been warmer , I would highly recommend. It may have been sitting for some time before delivery to the table. Nice wine selections
Very nice lunch place. Would be great when the weather warms up for patio dining.
We brought my parents for Sunday Brunch. Upside the food was very tasty, menu eclectic, and great service.
Downside-loud techno music (that kept getting louder) coffee maker broken, and food was barely warm.
Good place for a single unique dining experience.
Our server was amazing! Best we’ve ever had at Saint Ann. Food was good but wish they would change up the menu a little — its old and not very inventive. We love the ambience here! The best is uptown for sure! If the menu was better this would be THE PLACE TO BE!
My fiancé and I went out for a meal and had never been to the downtown Dallas area before. The atmosphere of the restaurant was what drew us in but the food and drinks are what made us stay! The food was cooked fabulously, very flavorful and fresh. It was the perfect setting for a warm night outside!
I specifically picked this restaurant to take my out of town guests to be able to enjoy a nice patio for brunch. I had requested the patio when I made the reservation and also when they called to confirm. I was told there were no guarantees but they would do their best. When we arrived, we were elated to see we were placed on the patio! However it was extremely disappointing when one table complained about the heat and sun so they closed the entire roof over the majority of the patio. A table next to ours asked if the roof could be opened, as well as us, and we were told no because the other table complained about being hot. I know you can't make everyone happy, but it was extremely unfortunate, because the plastic wall next to us was apparently broken so we were no longer on the patio, but completely indoors. The service was fine, but nothing to help push the experience into a overly positive one. There is so much potential for ambiance at this restaurant I will try again, but I will make sure to request a table properly.
Brunch with friends. Cute spot, especially on days with perfect weather. Limited brunch menu, and pricy brunch cocktails. Food and service was good.
Server was not very attentive. Food came out in stages. Two guests were served a full 10 minutes before others. 20% gratuity was pretty added. We only had 5 guests, not sure if this is standard.
Stopped on our way to the AAC and enjoyed
the meal, etc., as much or more that the concert.
While usually pleased, this experience was disappointing. Monday evening, not crowded, and sat in an awkward table by a service station when many other tables were open. Waitress was unresponsive for the first 10 or so minutes, then rather abrupt. Food was good, but client will probably not look to go back for the next dinner
Went for brunch and enjoyed everything about the restaurant. For a date the atmosphere was perfect, the service great and the food even better. The museum on the second floor was a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar to others.
The restaurant served delicious food and reasonable (for downtown Dallas) prices. The atmosphere was uniquely wonderful. Suggestion is to go when you have plenty of time, as the service is a little slow. It's very polite service; it's just a little slow.
Food was great but tooooo noise for a business meal.
It was great
Fantastic way to spend a Sunday brunch. Great service. No rushing. Excellent food. This was my first time there and I'll go back again for sure!
Bar service great!!
Great job recognizing Birthday. Table top display and specialty desert were very nice! We were sat at a 4 top right in the middle of a doorway between the covered patio and the dining room. Heavy traffic.
Great atmosphere and the food was delicious! This place has lots of character, which makes it special. We had great service as well - very conducive for both social and business conversations. Highly recommend!
Food and service was fantastic.
Unfortunately I was not told we were going to have a gratuity automatically added to the bill.
We had two kids with us and paid rapidly.
I added a tip, not seeing the tip included.
I called the restaurant for help and the call was never returned.
The wait staff was spectacular! And the food devine.
Food was delicious! The waitress understood we were in a bit of a hurry and did all she could to speed up the process.
We waited for our server after being seated for about 10 minutes. I had to ask, a different waiter, if he would know who are waiter is. He said he can take the order . And after our drinks were served our actual waitress appeared.
About the Food:
The Greek salad was unfortunately a disappointment. Looked like house salad . Just lettuce with few tiny feta cheese crumbs 2 slices of cucumber and a half tomato split in two and over priced $15
Pizza was not bad but gave my friend stomach ache, probably old cheese. Second order for more bread for the hummus order was dry.
I had been the first time two years ago at St Ann, and had an amazing experience and that’s why I suggested it to my friends.
Sadly after this experience I am not sure if I go back.
Nice atmosphere but a little crowded with seating. Food was overall good but the filet was not seasoned and not worth the money.
Just a beautiful restaurant! It’s nice to know one can dress up and not feel overdressed! It is difficult to find, but a delight once you get there,
Great choice for a birthday celebration!!
