We always love the food at Saiko and that we can bring our pup! Staff is always great and food is awesome! If you’re looking for well chosen sake options and a fun atmosphere then look no further!
Food was great both times we went. The Bar Tenders are very friendly and make great drinks. Happy Hour from 4:30-6:00.
Awesome! Great & friendly service. Amazing food. Awesome drinks.
Overall pretty good, but I’ve had better rolls and sashimi in Denver. Expect better right here by the ocean.
Great little sushi place!!
Our favorite restaurant in Coronado. Great sushi, creative combinations. Wonderful cocktails and pairings.
Higher end neighborhood sushi and Japanese place, cheerful and capable staff, nice but utilitarian layout, some outside seating.
We enjoyed the food....saki was good also, we will return
I love seiko sushi. The sushi is delicious and beautiful. We even requested a roll we had years ago not on the menu that he remembered how to make. An amazing sushi and dining experience. A great date spot and one of my favs in San Diego!! Will keep going back again and again.
Great food. Not a place to linger. They like you to enjoy their food and leave.
Awesome. Love this place. Order of the specials boards. Can't go wrong.
This used to be our favorite sushi place but lately we've noticed the nigiri is smaller and our favorite roll was prepared different last two visits--which is a bummer when it's a favorite and comes out not as expected. The service here has never been great so that's nothing new but I still wish employees were given better customer service training.
We are regulars. We enjoy this place. The sushi chefs need a little finesse. But everybody else is amazing. Thank you Saiko Sushi
It was great
Seiko Sushi had delicious sushi and friendly staff. Our waitress, Carolyn, had a trainee, Casey, and both were delightful. I loved the cucumber water. It was a refreshing alternative. The sushi was very fresh. We had the option of sitting outside (they have nice heaters out there) or in. We chose inside, but sitting outside would give a beautiful view of downtown San Diego. I'm glad we gave it a try!
The sushi here is fantastic as well as the service! We tried many of the sushi rolls and all were delicious! We will be back very soon!
Nice and simple. Friendly staff. Food could be a bit better.
Everything was great except our table for 6 was outside and at 6:45 the heater is not working.
It would be nice to have a working heater when eating outside in the evening.
Took at least 30 minutes for food.
Ordered scallop roll; 20 minutes later they tell us no scallops available. Salmon avocado roll terrible. Lots of tough, hard skin on it.
We go to lots of sushi restaurants. No plans to ever return.
Solid sushi experience - we ate here twice in the short time we were visiting. The sushi rolls didn't disappoint and the miso soup is delicious. Loved the gluten free options for my daughter as well, and appreciated the waiter checking on multiple items to find out whether they were gf or not. Nice ambiance, sat on the patio under heating lamps, so it was perfect to enjoy the outside setting the second time and inside on our first. Both times the restaurant was nicely crowded but was never overly loud.
Very delicious, and the noise level was low enough for us to have a great conversation.
Best sushi 🍣 on the island 🌴!! Not to mention San Diego. Don't tell to many people, or it will get too crowded. My wife and I have been going there for over 10 years now. How time flys. Great sake and whiskey 🥃 selection.
First time at Saiko Sushi. We were looking for a nice sushi restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. We were a bit let down with the atmosphere. We were expecting a little bit of a nicer/restaurant type place. We ordered 4 sushi rolls and chicken gyoza-pan fried. The gyoza were really good as was the Rey roll. Overall, the food was ok. Price was ok as well. Would expect bigger rolls for the prices. Seating outside is nice because you have a view of the downtown skyline. Not sure we would return though.
Due to the location and food quality it is a very busy place at lunch time. Service took a bit longer, but it was worth it. I would definitely have lunch or dinner there again!
The food was very reasonably priced and didn't take too long. The service was excellent!!
Amazing food great service will definitely come again
Found this restaurant on open table for our anniversary. Great happy hour and sushi. Shrimp tots are to die for. Service was good. Not too expensive. Would recommend this restaurant.
Sushi is Meh at best , atmosphere nothing special , will not recommend
Food was mediocre. Long wait for rolls. Service OK at best
Yummy!!!! Great sake. Would return over and over.
This was our second time here. Food was exquisite and love the location. Service was so slow, almost detracted from the experience.
Excellent cooked and fresh sushi. Always enjoy dining here. Miss the full fish dinners but love their preparation of cooked fish.
This is our go to place to eat in Coronado. We started going there because they had Mt. Beautiful in their wine selection and fell in love with the food.
Waiter forgot half the items we ordered and had to place order for missing items again after about 45 minutes of waiting. Food was ok.
Great sushi 🍣! Friendly staff.
Next to Hive, this is the best sushi spot in San Diego. The view from outside is breathtaking, and really sets the mood for the occasion.
Food was fabulous as usual. Best sushi around. Business dinner with counterparts from Spain. They LOVED it!
Great, fresh sushi/sashimi. Super values at Happy Hour (daily!) - especially the Seaweed Salad (addicting!), and the Saiko Roll (ohhh, yum). Sashimi is very fresh. Calamari and veggie tempura are both great apps.
Best Toro ever! Saiko Miso brings miso soup to a new level. Delicious, inventive combinations. Friendly, efficient servers. Top secret nicknames.
Been to Saiko Sushi Coronado several times, usually good but this time was excellent!! Our server Gabe was attentive, informative and polite. Very fresh fish, well presented, rice not too gooey. Only thing that would've made the eve perfect would to have commanded the corner at the high bar!!
