Saiko Sushi Ratings and Reviews
I love seiko sushi. The sushi is delicious and beautiful. We even requested a roll we had years ago not on the menu that he remembered how to make. An amazing sushi and dining experience. A great date spot and one of my favs in San Diego!! Will keep going back again and again.
This used to be our favorite sushi place but lately we've noticed the nigiri is smaller and our favorite roll was prepared different last two visits--which is a bummer when it's a favorite and comes out not as expected. The service here has never been great so that's nothing new but I still wish employees were given better customer service training.
Seiko Sushi had delicious sushi and friendly staff. Our waitress, Carolyn, had a trainee, Casey, and both were delightful. I loved the cucumber water. It was a refreshing alternative. The sushi was very fresh. We had the option of sitting outside (they have nice heaters out there) or in. We chose inside, but sitting outside would give a beautiful view of downtown San Diego. I'm glad we gave it a try!
Solid sushi experience - we ate here twice in the short time we were visiting. The sushi rolls didn't disappoint and the miso soup is delicious. Loved the gluten free options for my daughter as well, and appreciated the waiter checking on multiple items to find out whether they were gf or not. Nice ambiance, sat on the patio under heating lamps, so it was perfect to enjoy the outside setting the second time and inside on our first. Both times the restaurant was nicely crowded but was never overly loud.
First time at Saiko Sushi. We were looking for a nice sushi restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. We were a bit let down with the atmosphere. We were expecting a little bit of a nicer/restaurant type place. We ordered 4 sushi rolls and chicken gyoza-pan fried. The gyoza were really good as was the Rey roll. Overall, the food was ok. Price was ok as well. Would expect bigger rolls for the prices. Seating outside is nice because you have a view of the downtown skyline. Not sure we would return though.
Been to Saiko Sushi Coronado several times, usually good but this time was excellent!! Our server Gabe was attentive, informative and polite. Very fresh fish, well presented, rice not too gooey. Only thing that would've made the eve perfect would to have commanded the corner at the high bar!!
