We have been to SAII many time in the past and I have to say this wasn't the normal experience. It was a slower night, our waiter did a pretty good job, but the food was far below par compared to the norm. We love the heavenly veggie role normally, but this time the sweet potato was underdone and the sauce was off. The food seemed like it was more thrown together and didn't taste fresh at all. We may come back and give them a try again on a weekend, but probably won't return during the week on our date night.
Love love love their sushi!! And a meal cannot go without dessert!!... Banana Springrolls!!! They are my favorite dessert from ANY Restaurant...EVER!!
Perfect Venue and ambiance for a special date or event. Gives a feeling of Class and Elegance without making one feel uncomfortable.
I wasn't impressed with the sizzling stone bowl that I paid 14 dollars for, maybe it has to do with the fact that it's Japanese style but for 14 dollars I would have hoped for a better experience. The bowl we got wasn't even sizzling at I don't recall there being egg on it, just a yellow sponge looking think that I assume was suppose to be egg. Maybe I'm not a Japanese bulgogi stone bowl specialist but I've had better. The sushi was awesome on the other hand. I would come back for the sushi but not the stone bowl.
Expensive and the food was just OK. Not horrible, not great. I've had cheaper, better tasting sushi rolls elsewhere
Calimari was rubbery. Something has changed at Saii. The food was subpar this visit. The cocktails were week and poured short. We used to love this place.
I love SAII. Yes, it's in a strip mall near a tanning salon. But once you're inside, you forget that. The portions are great and the price is fair.
The best sushi place in OKC!!!
Great atmosphere. Each table was kind of sectioned off by decor. Food was great and served quickly on a late Friday evening.
I always Order the same thing...because it's soooo delicious! Their Stone Pot noodles with sesame chicken always hits the spot!!!!
Saii is a great spot for small groups on special occasions. The ambiance is really nice, but it is a little darker at some tables though. The menu is diverse and covers both sushi and a variety of popular dishes from various Asian cultures.
Friendly wait-staff. Great, diverse menu. Delicious food!
Tornado roll was great. Overall the quality has dropped at Saii unfortunately
We have always had great food at Saii and they have plenty of Gluten Free options if you ask. It is not noted on the menu.
It took a long time for anyone to realize they needed to take our drink order. In fact, I had to ask the waitstaff for water. The waiter said he'd tell our waitress. Our frazzled waitress took our drink order but then decided she was too busy and handed our table to a different waiter. The new waiter was efficient. I wouldn't say he was friendly, but he wasn't rude either.
The sushi was really good. I ordered the Angel roll which was great and a caterpillar roll, which was pretty standard. I also got a Coconut Mule and it was really good. Make sure to squeeze the lime in it for a better taste.
I will definitely be back because the sushi was great, but I won't expect an excellent level of service. It was nice and dark with low lighting perfect for date night. Also, to be clear, there weren't very many patrons. I'm still not clear why we weren't waited on promptly.
Great food and atmosphere. The service can be kind of slow at lunch so I always order right when I sit down so I don't have to rush.
Restaurant was fairly slow and the wait staff still seemed distressed. Food was fair for expensive sushi. Not on the top of my list
Beautiful restraunt and great food. Service is consistently terrible. We have waited 15 min for someone to come to our table. We had reservations and the hostess set us at the wrong table. They didn't realize it until 30 min later and asked us to move tables after we already had drinks and appetizers. The waiters can't keep an order straight. Be prepared to spend at least an hour and a half-two Hours there for dinner. Very slow service.
Love eating here....peaceful, upscale, quiet, but I can still eat here with my well-behaved 2-year-old...they treat him like a little prince, and even tied his chopsticks and brought a special dish for him. Looking forward to going back!
I was not impressed.
Best sushi spot in OKC
Food was tasty
Sai used to be our go to spot, but the last few times it's been spotty and after tonight it's off our list.
This is one of my favorites in OKC, but the service has been extremely lacking as of late. Which is too bad since they used to be so good!
This restaurant has been here for years but they continue to have unbelievably tasty food. The staff is always very friendly and willing to accommodate special food requests.
Food was amazing. Not a fan of wasabi at all, and my girlfriend ordered a sushi that had a wasabi mayo and I actually liked it. That's how good the food was! Service was awesome to top it off.
I've heard such good things about Saii but we left disappointed. Service was average and sushi was very average. The sticky rice was gummy and the fish not so fresh.
We made a reservation for 6:30. We were immediately seated however sat 20 minutes without having a waiter acknowledge us. At this time a couple was sat next to our table and immediately helped by a waiter. At that point we left and took our business elsewhere.
My husband and I used to come to Saii once every couple of weeks when we lived in OKC and loved it. I flew down this last weekend from Massachusetts and met up with 10 other people here. First, the service was awful. Our waiter acted ultra annoyed and would walk past our table constantly without asking if we needed anything. Then, while some people's food was good, the two rolls I got were not near as good or fresh as they used to be and several others had the same complaint. Fortunately we really love that place and would probably give it another chance but we were pretty disappointed to be honest.
What a disaster. After we were sat it took 15 minutes for our blasé waitress to show up. Heaven forbid we asked her any questions about the menu. We ordered the tempura veggies for an appetizer. The sweet potato was totally undercooked as the potatoes were still hard. I had the wasabi roll, to which I did not finish. It tasted like old fish. I will never eat here again.
This is my favorite place for sushi. We always get the Lobster Bomb and Wild Coconut and usually the Spicy Cowboy. All are very good. My only complaint is the wait for the meal. There were only two of us, and we were one of only three tables being served, but it still took over 20 minutes to get our meal after ordering. Still, always worth the wait!
Love going to Saii! Usually food is excellent, however this visit did not meet prior expectations. Still plan on returning frequently since this was a one off situation
This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants to go to and it was my first time back in awhile! Service and overall experience were fantastic, however my entree this time seemed a bit off. I got the sizzling pot with chicken and steak and it all seemed very "dry". Mind you, I've ordered this dish before and so this was just an off-night for it. My fiance got the seafood pot and I had a few bites of it and it was outstanding, making me wish I had gotten that!
My wife and I are Saii fans and have been coming here since they opened. During our last visit in a non-full restaurant, it took nearly 10 mins for our drink orders to be taken and another 15 before they were delivered. The food came out and no further checks to our table were made until the check was dropped off and we were asked repeatedly if there was anything else. The overall impression is that the server wanted us to pay quickly and leave. It was a poor experience overall which is uncharacteristic for one of our favorite spots in OKC.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. We have already recommended it to other friends and plan on returning ourselves.
Was well taken care of even with having kids with us under 12. Exceptional menu even if sushi is typically not something you would enjoy. Plenty of space for a big group but still has small secluded areas for a date night for two.
Service was so slow
Nice young fellow, just needs to pay more attention.
Our server was awesome. It was peak time when my group (7 people) were seated promptly. The restaurant was busier than usual so the wait time for our food was a little longer than normal but as always it was delicious.
Wonderful food 😋! So fresh and delicious! Seasoned beautifully! Lovely ambiance and surroundings. Very intimate and comfortable.
Food did take a long time to prepare, but was totally worth it! This is not a fast-food experience in any way. Highly recommend!
I have eaten at Saii for years! It's actually my favorite sushi restaurant in OKC. However the past few times have changed that for me. Food quality has changed as well as them always being short handed. Our waitress was just as nice as can be and she was working very hard. Clearly this is management.
