Our chefs refer to their cooking as “the nouvelle cuisine of Asia.” Our dishes rely on an abundance of fresh herbs and vegetables, the use of contrasting flavours, varied textures, exotic ingredients and by using methods such as grilling, braising and steaming, Vietnamese food is among the healthiest in the world.
Saigon Saigon aim to provide you with all the pleasures of the Vietnamese table, a captivating taste of an irresistible cuisine and look forward to welcoming you.
Great food and a very warm cozy ambiance. An excellent dip in Vietnamese food and hospitality. Slightly noisy - but the place makes you happy...
Food ok but not great. A little on the expensive side. We prefer Pho District up the road, which is more authentic and better value.
Fantastic place to taste original Vietnamese food. The Pho is one of the best in London and the atmosphere is traditionally Vietnamese. Must visit.
We love it: food is just amazing.
Pho is really good as well as the spring rolls. But portion is small, compared with other Vietnamese restaurants not great value.
A prompt and courteous welcome saw my friend and me shown to our table within a minute of arrival.
(a) starters: (i) Vietnamese spring rolls with minced chicken and prawns; (ii), steamed rice rolls stuffed with minced pork and black mushroom, topped with steam pork sausage; and (iii) char-grilled beef in wild betel leaves, served with herbs and boiled vermicelli;
(b) main course: special steamboat with assorted meat & prawns, served with egg noodles (for two people).
We drank: (i) Diet Coke; (ii) fresh lime juice; and (iii) water.
The bill for two, with no alcohol and including service, came to about GBP 110.00. A little on the high side, perhaps, but given the overall experience, Saigon Saigon is an eatery to be reserved as an occasional and very worthwhile treat.
The food is incredible. As a Saigonese, I must say that the food at Saigon-Saigon Restaurant tasted 90% alike authentic Vietnamese food. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
We ordered the egg fried rice, noodles and beef stir fry. Every dish was packed with flavour. The service was top class and the ambiance was very warm. Very nice place for Vietnamese food!
Excellent authentic Vietnamese food, wonderful service and somewhere we will be returning to again and again.
I have been a regular at Saigon Saigon for over two years - that's at least 20 great meals had here!
The food has always been delicious and generously proportioned without any lengthy wait times.
Any special requests to add or change something have always been accommodated.
The staff have always been very welcoming and hospitable without any of the overbearing or pushiness you find in some restaurants. The Manager is excellent - and keeps her eye on the ball checking that everyone is being attended to and that everything is maintained to a very high standard.
The environment is aesthetically pleasing, well decorated, lighting is gentle, seating is comfortable and well spaced so you don't feel squashed in. It's very clean - top rating from me on this point after having dined at many restaurants across London over the years that have looked attractive on the menu and surface but have very poor hygiene standards. You won't find a dirty glass, plate or amenity here.
It has a warm and joyful ambience. It can get busy at weekends in a fun, lively way that is welcoming to all.
Saigon Saigon is a definitely a gem and I definitely keep coming back.
Every dish was fragrant, full of flavour and tastefully presented. The service was attentive and cheerful. Delicious and delightful evening guaranteed. Don’t hesitate.
Glad I got chance to try this resturant. Manager really friendly and checks to make sure you are ok. Food was good aswell.
Repeat customer over the years. Last two visits the food has been underwhelming.
First time at the restaurant and overall a 3.8 out of 5. Food was enjoyable, well cooked and a good variety.restaurant layout and decor were good and staff are friendly and recommended dishes on request which was helpful. For 2 people we had 3 starters , 3 main dishes and a fried rice with a bottle of rose which came to a touch over £105. Food was not spicy but on asking i did receive fresh red chillis and chilli sauce which did the trick. Choice of beer limited and spirits were mainstream so dont expect any rum or something more tailored. Did have red and white wine selection but only 1 type of rose. The only thing i would say is the experience felt a bit rushed as the staff were keen to clear away courses and move on. A more relaxed atmosphere in that sense and empty glasses were not topped up by staff but thats not a biggy.. and some front of house hospitality/attention would have added to the evening. would recommend and would consider visiting again.
The Quail starting is outstanding. The Fish was great. The service and VFM was perfect.
Good was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. Restaurant is popular but you never feel rushed even with the table time limit. Dining room nicely spaced with out door dining in front during the warmer months
Always excellent: food, service, pacing. Recommended to anyone.
As always a delight all around. Thank you. I will be back again and again
I’ve been to Saigon Saigon on a number of occasions and wanted to take some friends that hadn’t been there before, I was very disappointed with the experience.
Service was very slow and non attentive, we had to ask for water several times and even a jug to be left but they didn’t listen and took considerable amount of time to bring water.
The food didn’t taste fresh, I ordered a prawn on baguette that was so tough to eat that had a skin on it that you could tear off as it was so dry and probably premade.
My friends chicken skewers were also tough.
The mains were also a disappointment, I ordered a braised chicken and the quality of meat was not great had a lot of skin on the meat that was just put me off eating it and my friends meal was no better. We ended up leaving most of the food.
I previously have enjoyed the food immensely at this restaurant but was very disappointed by both service and quality of food. Only saving grace was the company I was with and we didn’t want to spoil our night by making a seen. Paid over £100 for a very mediocre meal and service.
Will think twice about going again.
Delicious beef pho with plenty of subtle flavour and aromas. Spring rolls were good too (great rice latticed pastry) as was the beef in betal leaf. Some of the portion sizes were a bit small for the amount charged, but not outrageously so. I would recommend Saigon Saigon for authentic Vietnamese flavours (having travelled the length of Vietnam myself) and plenty of choice on the menu
Consistently good place, service can get a little confused sometimes but very kind
The food is always great. But can you please put some more tables outside!
It wasn't my first time to the restaurant and I have to say every time I find myself there I enjoy the food and the nice environment very much. The menu has a long list of choices to satisfy all taste and have never been disappointed :) The staff is friendly and welcoming. It was another excellent night and I am looking forward to visiting again soon!
First time visitor. Nice authentic food. Attentive waiting staff.
I’m a big fan of Vietnamese food and have eaten lots of it, I’d say the food is great here. Authentic and good quality ingredients used. I have been for dinner and most recently for lunch, the lunch set menu is good value however I ordered from the normal menu as I’m a bit fussy. Decor is a little dated and it can be a loud environment when it gets busy as tables are pretty close to each other. All in all if you’re a Vietnamese food fan I’d recommend this place but not the best place for an intimate meal due to proximity to other diners. I’ve had both fantastic and passable service spread over various visits but no cause for complaint on any occasion.
Great decor, warm friendly service and delicious Vietnamese food
Me and my partner were very excited for a Vietnamese cuisine for a day. The starters we had were very good, great suggestions from the server. Service was flawless as well and will definitely go back to eat with the whole family.
The food was very poor and not cheap, don't mind paying as long as one comes away having enjoyed the food.
Regular patron to this local gem.
Can always expect a good night out as the management and staff make you feel special. always welcoming
and professional in approach.
Delicious authentic Vietnam dishes , a favourite of mine is the quail starter with spicy aubergine together as a main dish.
Vegan and veggie friendly and those dishes are prepared appropriately. Personal requests present no problem.
Good selection on menu. Starters were good. The mains were a let down. The Cari-ga was too watery and the pork ribs were salty and dry. The mochi dessert was completely frozen and took a lot of effort to break apart. The bill was cash only because the card machine was down and the change never came back to me. If we weren’t too tired, we would have taken an issue with it. Overall a dissatisfying experience.
Absolutely fabulous, the food is fantastic. Quality and excellence
Came here on a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Lots of unusual dishes to choose from, pleasant atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely return if I'm in the area again.
Love this place. Starters fantastic especially the pork steamed spring rolls. Had a curry for mains which was lovely but the seafood and vegetable main didn't have enough seafood and was a little bland. Maybe we didn't pick will this time, but we shall return
Booked table week or so before
We were told the table was only available for two hours
Staff rushed us and served mains before we finished our starters
I was very disappointed as family were visiting
We were given warnings by email the time limits of how long one could be there before we went there. It appeared less welcoming but we weren't rushed in any way. It was appreciated.
Everything it’s amazing like as always but the team seems to be new and inexperienced.
Excellent as usual. Good food, very polite and prompt service, nice friendly atmosphere. Several families with children (it being a Saturday night).
Busy place, glad we booked in advance. Great food, kids enjoyed their 1st time.
We are regulars at Saigon Saigon but on the last couple of visits the service has been very poor. The food is excellent but we had to ask repeatedly for our drinks, the food arrived before the drinks, our previous visit we waited over 30 mins for the desert menu then we were told we had to leave because our time slot was up. Not sure what's happened as the service used to be great. Now the service charge is added automatically, which is another thing I can't stand! It's such a shame as their fresh summer rolls are the best I've tasted outside of Vietnam.
