Celebrating my birthday with a girlfriend. The food was absolutely delicious and I was treated to a delicious chocolate cake for my birthday! Thank you so much for a great experience and I love the ambiance there. Will be back with my husband and son :)
Delicious and unique food. Especially enjoyed the Korean beef scallion pancakes.
Beautiful interior with cool light fixtures and projected photos also made the dining experience interesting.
Absolutely delicious food and beautiful restaurant. Service could be improving or perhaps they were under staffed. But it got to the point when we considered ordering two rounds of drinks because it always took so long for someone to walk by. That being said, the food was great and we'll be back. Hoping for more attentive service next time!
Yummy food, great service, fun atmosphere...what more can one ask for?
tasty interesting food. the korean fried chicken was really good and the duck noodles were also a favorite .great venue, good vibe. a selection of craft beers, wine and a cocktail list.
I was not fan on the DJ - Music was too loud and we can’t talk at the table.
Lovely meal, server was great!
Love the room & decor
Excellent food, ambiance and decor. As a table of four we were all very impressed with Sai Woo. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be return patrons.
Late night cocktails and eats. The cocktails were great but the popcorn chicken was pretty gross—dry, no flavor and hardly any chicken. The Szechuan chicken was very spicy which the waitress did warn us about. My husband had that dish and enjoyed it.
Our friends had the beef noodles and the Brussel sprouts dish. They looked good and both seemed to enjoy it
Very friendly service and great atmosphere
Every dish was more delicious than the next. It was delightful. Classy, yet unpretentious. The dishes were thoughtful and perfectly executed. Everything on the menu looks fantastic. I definitely will be back to try more.
Great food. We had Vietnamese beef, confit duck noodles and green beans. Everything was perfect. Very good service with knowledgable staff. Great night out
Food was great! Our bartender was amazing. We came on a Thursday and it was quite.
The food is very creative and delicious - our service was very mediocre unfortunately.
Sai Woo was very accommodating of my large group. The food was good but at times the waitress was a bit hard to track down. It would have been nice to have more vegan/vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the cauliflower and tofu and the portion of tofu was quite tiny. I was still starving after my meal.
The fried rice was so tasty and they accommodate your dietary restrictions to the best of their ability.
The portion is on the smaller side, compared to the price we pay.
However, I see why they say you have to visit there at least once!
Very tasty combinations of flavours in Asian fusion food. Salt and pepper squid and dumplings particularly good. Very friendly and efficient server neglected to bring one of the dishes we ordered, but no big deal. Her dessert recommendation was bang on. Very good value. My second visit, I will return.
Food was bland. Menu items sound much more rich and savory than the execution of it. Ambience was confusing. There was a DJ dropping house beats like its London’s Ministry of Sound in the 90’s. I’m a fan of the music, but the place seemed more like a cocktail bar and club with food as an afterthought. Service was good, but wouldn’t consider this place again especially considering the rich diversity and offerings of Vancouver and Richmond’s Asian food scene.
Gutes Restaurant.
Food is excellent, service not so good. Communication was a challenge
Visiting Vancouver for the first time. Great food. Fun ambience. Fabulous and friendly service.
We really enjoyed this restaurant but be careful walking here- there is a difficult few streets to the north.
Excellent innovative food and helpful knowledgeable server
Our server was great with in depth explanations and suggestions when we were indecisive on what our final dish would be. She came by multiple times asking how the food was and constantly filling up our water. The food tasted fantastic as well and came pretty quickly! All great for sharing and can't go wrong with any choice. The prices are good as well. Would recommend!
Waitress was amazing but the rest of the staff seemed to want us out of the place after an hour of being there. Worst thing is to go to a nice place only to feel rushed to eat and get out.
We were there early, so I have no idea what the noise level could be at the busier times.
But don't miss eating here! The food was amazing, creative, and delicious. We will definitely be back whenever we're in Vancouver!
Food was salty and served in small portions. The service was spotty and inconsistent. Two of the dishes we ordered never appeared and the rest came to the table cold.
Third time we’ve eaten at Sai Woo and every time we’ve had excellent service and food. Also Like the historic connection to Chinatown and the decor recognizing it.
Delicious as usual. The dumplings were excellent
Nourriture excellente. Un peu cher. Très bon service et accueil.
This was some of the best Chinese food we've ever had. Highly recommend.
Sai Woo is a great find In Vancouver! The restaurant is beautifully designed and the food flavorful. The waitress/hostess was very welcoming and went above and beyond in taking care of us right down to helping us hail a taxi when we were done. Very enjoyable dinner!
We loved our meal at Sai Woo!! Wonderful food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Actually, it was better than we expected. Would love to return some day!!
Fantastic food, great service, funky space and good value.
Service was very good and the food was fantastic! Very, very tasty! Selection of drinks was small, but the ones offered were very good. Would go back again, for sure!
We felt that the happy hour was a poor venue and in general the restaurant is good but not as great as many have said.
Food was really good and the atmosphere is great.
Great gluten free options, making it very accommodating (and delicious) for someone who is celiac!
Server was excellent. Couple next to us. (Less than a foot between table) were watching Chinese video on each of their phones without ear buds. Very loud and disruptive. Bothered couple at the table on other side as well .Spring rolls showed up burnt (not carmelized on bottom we are talking black!) We were told they were frozen and had to be in fryer that long to reach safe internal temp. Frozen spring rolls ugh! Shrimp Gyoza also poor quality Great drinks. Go sit at bar have a drink and skip food!
Friendly staff, good food , well worth the visit. I would definitely go again on my next visit to Vancouver
Very nice restaurant with a little
menu. For European customers the dishes are slightly too sweet as we prefer not to have extra sugar. Quality and freshness of meat, seafood and vegetables is excellent! Service was very good!
