Meat was very dry and over cooked
Tried this place for the first time and it was great. Loved the music, food, and service. Will definitely be back to try the hookah!
Very accommodating. Excellent bread. Flavorful skewers and rice. Overall good choice.
The lamb kabobs were tough and dry; the Greek salad was over dressed to the point bitterness, and the chicken taco entree just didn't work. The rice, served as a pyramid, was very good, and the presentation was good. We just were sad that the meals were not well-prepared. Overall, a disappointing dining experience.
Bad sign when we were the first customers at 6.30 on a Saturday. Food was bland and only so so. The falafel were fried to a crisp on the outside and were so hard I was worried I would break a tooth.
Limited vegetarian options.
Good food, but NO tapas!!!!!!! Kebobs were great and appitizer sampler was awesome. Just a little noises inside lots of concrete. Nice folks
Entirely too noisy because of music system. We were only ones there upon arrival but as more tables were filled, the noise level was worse. Overall the food was actually good, but the service was pedestrian.
I am so glad we discovered this neighborhood spot. Food is absolutely delicious and authentic; service was attentive. We only had dinner but will definitely try the hookah next time.
Unless I missed it, there was no mention that this restaurant also had a hookah lounge. My friends and I aren't smokers, but went for it anyway. Lamb shish kabobs we very good.
My colleague and I really enjoyed our meal! The bread was incredible! We had an absolute wonderful experience and the staff were both funny and inviting.
The staff was not familiar with open table, though we had made our reservation through open table we were told if we decided to stay we needed to be done with our table in one hour as they had another large group booked. We stayed, felt like we were the step family. Ordered, fed and paid within 40 minutes . Rushed, and made to feel uncomfortable. The food was fresh and tasty, would have liked to enjoy it more.
We really enjoyed our dinner. The staff was courteous and fast. The prices were excellent and we will go back.
We wanted a restaurant near SFO so we could grab a bite to eat on our way home. The food was very tasty and the service was gracious as well. The mezze sampler had a bit of everything. The Kefta kebab was well spiced without being overpowering. The Gamba plate: prawns sautéed with tomato, feta and pepperoncini, served with rice was a nice change from the kebab we usually order. We ate early on a Wednesday evening so the place was fairly quiet. They also have an outdoor eating section in the back of the restaurant. Looking at other reviews, you must realize this is not a really fancy place but it is great for what it is. I feel the menu prices are fair. We're sure to eat here again!
I'm sure my review would be more positive if my expectations hadn't been raised by the Open Table description of this basic kebab hut (not tapas, as the name might suggest). The food is fine, and the service friendly, but there is no cozy ambience one might want for a Mediterranean dinner. Had I gone for lunch, with more reasonable expectations, I might be gushing about the food. Sorry.
The atmosphere was charming, the service excellent, and the food delicious. Wonderful experience. One drawback: the outside is reserved for smokers so the restaurant smelled of smoke when we first entered. After complaining to the waiter, he closed the back door and that helped as there was only one smoker. I am concerned about the effect multiple smokers would have on a future dining experience.
