My husband had the parm chicken which he said had a weird after-taste, but overall the dish was still good. The rest of the food was excellent. The scallops/risotto is my favorite!
We were there to celebrate my birthday and my daughter's birthday, and we enjoyed it and got dessert that we weren't charged for...so that was cool.
The waiter was good...no real complaints, except he wasnt excellent, which i would expect for the price tag. We werent really rushed, but you could tell he wanted to "turn tables" because it is holiday season and so close to Christmas. But we took our time anyway. We werent there that long, but we wanted to ENJOY our time there. So we did.
We chose the Perimeter location this time because we were in the area, but your other location at Windy Hill in Marietta has always been better overall (atmosphere, service, food, etc.) I will end up going there instead from now on.
it took quite awhile for someone to wait on us once we were seated. spoke to the hostess that we were there for 15 minuets to see if the table was assigned to a server as she was passing by; she was kind enough to take our drink order then our server arrived. our server was very nice yet new to the restaurant but not new to serving we could tell. we ordered and asked if we could sub mashed potatoes for the cubed potatoes under the chicken dish she recommended ~ yes! could spinach be substituted for the rice on the shrimp dish ~ yes! when the food arrived we received separate dishes of mashed potatoes and spinach. not understanding why i found later she ordered side dishes of each instead. the total for the two sides was around $16 is this the end of the world? no however after loosing my job every penny counts and we would have not asked for subs if there was an up charge or additional charge. since i was treating a family member who i rarely see and the check was just dropped off there was no opportunity to reconcile. i paid the bill and left a proper tip however the experience was not right. when the order was placed and read back each of us understood it to be subbed items. won’t recommend or go again. happy to give 5 stars for holiday decorations and music ~ great ambience.
Had reservations waited over 45 minutes an wanted to seat me at a table the manager put together. It was like aluminum chaired and a small table almost in an aisle near the hostess station. Shame on you Sage Wildfire tavern. This is the second time this has happen. This happened in June of this year after waiting 2 hours. I was going to give them another try on my Bday! Disappointment all over again.
I try to visit Sage every time I am in the Sandy Springs area on business. The food and service are both fantastic. The group I dined with had a variety of dinners i.e., steak, seafood, pasta, we were all very satisfied with our meals. I always have a wonderful experience at Sage and would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
First time to visit. Everything was excellent. We had to wait for one of our party to arrive, so we were seated early. The only thing I would've recommended was a basket of bread or crackers. It wasn't your fault she was late, but we were waiting sometime, so it would've been nice to have something small. Will definitely come back!
Nice menu, but not the choice ingredients for which the entrees are priced. Particularly mediocre Kansas City strip, about what one would expect from Kroger. Wait staff attentive without being intrusive. Ambience was pleasant and noise no issue for conversation. Place has good ideas, but execution seems lacking, especially in the provision of prime meat for which it charges but failed (at least on this occasion) to deliver.
It was my girlfriend’s first time at Sage, so this review is purely with her experience in mind.
Arrival: We had reservations and upon arrival we asked for a booth, we were recommended to take-in the bar area until a booth became available. Although our wait was merely 10mins, we were impressed with the arrangement of the bar/lounge area.
Ambience: There was a live band playing relaxing ballads which helped enhance the experience. The music was at the desired level, where it did not disrupte conversation.
Food: The food (Woodfire Salmon w/ risotto and green beans) was amazing. I had never had Risotto before and instantly became a fan! We shared the Death but Chocolate cake, which I highly recommend for chocolate and cake lovers. They even warmed it upon my request w/o pushback.
Drinks: My girlfriend is very particular with her choice and quality of mixed drinks. As easy as it is to make Armaretto Sour, it’s amazing how many places tend to make an underwhelming drink. Sage passed with flying colors as she ordered two during the evening. I on the other hand enjoyed a white wine (name escapes me at the moment).
Service: From the hostess (accommodating our adhoc booth request) to our waiter (great recommendations and personable) to the management (checked on our dining experience a few times throughout the evening), the service at Sage was remarkable!
We went out for a girls night dinner and were very impressed with everything. The food was very tasty and our server, Mikell was amazing. The assistant manager checked in on us as well and engaged us in great conversation. We will definitely go back!
The restaurant seemed nice inside; however, the noise was deafening to the point I was miserable throughout the dinner. Only a drapery was between a large dining room for parties and the table where I sat. The food was fine; ribs were delicious, baked potato average, and spinach bland. Service was good, though not exceptional. I had to wait quite awhile for my check, and had to ask for it before it came to my table. Pricey for the meal. I don't plan to return to Sage since I have found much nicer and quieter restaurants in the Perimeter Mall area.
Everything was perfect. Table was available on time with reservation. Server was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, efficient.
Food was served hot and all meals were exactly as described by server and tasty and all enjoyed the meals.
Restaurant was quiet and meeting was perfect.
The maitre D came past and checked on the meals and service and all boxed were checked.
The service was a bit shotty, when we arrived we waited 10 mins before the hostess even came back to the host desk. It took 10-15 mins for our waiter to come to the table. The manager came by and assured the waiter would make it to us. It took a whole longer. The waiter a very nice man came took our orders, he came back 10 mins later asked about the type of cheese for the burger (which was previously said in the initial order). The apps came out sporadically soup then 10 mins later my salad. It seemed as if something was wrong with the waiter health wise, he seemed tired, fatigued, not fully focused. We voiced this concern with the manager. He had a second waiter Michael backup our original waiter Rob. We didn't mean any harm but it was just not a smooth night service wise. The food was superb no complaints. The manager Steve gave us a gift certificate for our next visit. That was very appreciated. We hope Rob feels better and he did do a good job regardless. But I hope in the future our next experience is better from the start. Thanks
I've been to Sage twice in the past three months and both times the manager on duty for the night (manager was not the same both times) stopped by the table to say hello and see if we needed anything. Nice touch to an already good evening. Waiter was great and patient with our late arriving guests.
I notated on the reservation it was for a birthday. There wasn't any recognition of a celebration. I ordered the blackened magi magi and it was very small. The presentation was very nice and the food tasted great. They need to turn up the lights during lunch time. It was too dark for lunch. The lighting would be ok at dinner but not lunch. The staff was great.
Great venue for a business lunch. I brought people from the office here for a business dinner, and everyone was happy with his/her meal. My salmon was thin, so wasn't as under-cooked as I would have liked, but at least it wasn't over-cooked. Everyone else's pasta, chicken, etc. were good, and the "fries" were big slabs of potato which the guys said were very good. We were able to talk during the meal, so I liked the ambience and the booth setup.
