We had terrible service. We saw our waitress a total of 3 timea. After we got our food we saw our waitress once. We had to have someone else box our food and bring our check. We never got a refill on our drinks. The food was alright but not worth the price. My significant other got the chicken Alfredo and the chicken was rubbery. I was very disappointed after the reviews I read. I probably won't eat there again.
The service and ambiance of the restaurant was excellent.
Very 1st time dining at Sage. The food was excellent and the service team was very attentive. We have a pasta and a vegetarian dish and were blown away with the flavor of the food. The wait time between ordering and getting our food was very short. We barely tasted the bread on the table when our entrees arrived. I will definitely make another visit to experience the live music over dinner.
The waiter was nice, the food was good, and the place was nice and clean.
I always have an amazing time at Sage. The vibe, the energy, the music and drinks are always on point. I also love the tapas at the bar.
Great food and service.
Nice variety of choices. Was recommended to try to Woodfire Rosemary Shrimp as an appetizer by our sever and it didnt disappoint.
Good experience. It was Thursday so bar was loud with a “crooner” for ladies night but not overly so. Food was excellent except for chicken lettuce wraps which were just OK. Plated not well, they were a big mess. On the flip side the portions were all huge.
For the price the food was not up to standards. Service was great but when we sat and had coffee after dinner no one came around to refresh water. And the place was virtually empty.
Service was great.... very dark and intimate... Its a couples spot for sure!
Overall my experience was great only negative the lady at the desk refused to sit us entire our husbands came in from parking the car but a few minutes later she sat another lady who’s husband was parking the car as well. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it and went on and enjoyed the rest of my birthday dinner!
Excellent service. Before sitting at out table, we went to the bar for a drink. The live music (electric violinist) was unexpectedly good. The guys had beer and my friend and I had martinis - excellent. Once we were seated at our table (right on time with our reservation), the food and service were very good. Manager came by to check on us and delivered a slice of cake for my husband's birthday. Very nice experience!
Great food, awesome service!
The food was good but not special; the service was slow and unreliable but tolerable for a Saturday night. The problem was if sitting in the bar area the entertainment although talented is so loud it is impossible to hold a normal conversation.
Enjoyed our meal; salad with salmon and chicken. Good wine list. Good service. Music enjoyable. Everything good.
Amazing! Our waiter Nick was also outstanding! Everything was good! Drinks, food and the atmosphere.
The service was great,we had a waitress named Yatta(maybe misspelled)she was wonderful, the live music was excellent, the food was excellent, will be going back
Overall the experience was great. But some of our orders were wrong and it took soooooooooo long for the waitress to check us out
This visit was a disappointing. We had a party of 7 and were cramped into a booth. I asked about a bigger table but they said all the other big tables were reserved meanwhile I saw a huge table in a separate room empty up until we left. I wish they had sat us there so we would have been more comfortable. The server was very slow and I had a hard time finding him most of the night yet they added gratuity automatically. The food was just ok, I’ve had better meals there and at the Alpharetta location. Also the strangest part of the evening is there was a lady sitting in the bathroom eating and talking on the phone and she had to hand you soap and paper towel and was looking for a tip. This a not a nightclub and I thought it was very awkward to have to tip someone for bathroom supplies. Very very tacky and I didn’t expect this in a restaurant. I won’t be returning to this location because of that and the other customer service issues. Also the martinis were very small for the price.
Get time and great food with amazing portions. We even saw someone propose. Our night was truly blissful.
Our first time there, & won't be our last! Jazz guitarist in the bar was fabulous! My husband & I were seated in a cozy area for dinner, very classy atmosphere. Food was outstanding as was our waitress Yolanda. She was so friendly & attentive. We look forward to going back.
It was amazing!
Food was good. Nothing remarkable. Each of us had a steak and they were fine. Not steakhouse quality but fine. Service was an issue. First, they brought the wrong drinks. After that was straightened out we ordered their suggested pairing of wine. The wine came about 15 minutes after meal was served. Meals were half eaten. The bill arrived and had several items on it that we did not have or order. It took two attempts to get the bill right. And about 20 minutes. I don’t believe this reflects well on their service.
Good food and service for a lunch business meeting.
Was my first time for dinner although I’ve eaten there for lunch. The menu is extensive with everything from steaks and seafood to main course salads and burgers. The complimentary bread came with a very tasty dipping oil. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was good. I had the meatloaf and it was very flavorful. The Ahi tuna was over cooked and the two other people didn’t like their burgers although I’ve ordered the burger before it and it was fine for me. The food quality is good or not so good with nothing being outstanding or really bad. The menu variety will keep me coming back but I think only for lunch if I’m in the area and not for a special occasion dinner.
The service however was pretty inattentive. I had to ask for bread, didn’t get a soda refill even after I asked for it. The waiter didn’t ask if we wanted dessert or coffee which we did. He was running around and looked stressed. Their wait staff always seems to have just started working there and to be inexperienced.
Eating there was strictly just having a meal and not a particularly pleaeant evening out for my birthday. It was just “Okay.”
We arrived for our dinner reservations at about 5:40PM on a Sunday. Firstly, the restaurant's atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing. Secondly, the service was excellent! Our server, Jasmine, was very attentive while at the same time giving us our space. She checked on us at all the right times. She even labeled the individual items in our to-go boxes - a very nice touch! Finally, all of the food was excellent - our ribeye steak and salmon were perfectly prepared to our specifications! We were definitely impressed with with all aspects of this restaurant.
Food and drinks were very good. A bit pricey but servings are large, so it balances.
My family and I were visiting the ATL and when looking for a steak house Sage popped up so we decided to try it out. Service was really slow, my son sent his good back twice because it was cold. The waitress was acting like she didn't know what she was doing. For those prices, services and the food should have been flawless.
The food was very good. Nice selection on the menu and many nice choices. Our hotel shuttle was running late and we were about 15 min late for our reservation. The hostess seated us right away and did not make us feel like we had inconvenienced them.
Very noisy which made it difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. The food was average, nothing spectacular. Asked for some modifications on my meal which did not happen, so had to send it back which meant the rest of the table was half way done with their meal before mine arrived. In Sage’s defense, they did bring me a bowl of soup (which I was unable to eat due to food allergies) while I was waiting, so I did refuse it in an effort to not waste. This was our third time at this location & highly doubtful we will return. Plus, the hostesses need a dress code! Very disturbing they would be allowed to wear a) what appeared to be skimping work out clothes & b) a dress so sort you could see her behind & so low in the front she was popping out. Both were very distasteful & inappropriate ( in my opinion)
Took my wife here to celebrate her birthday. She loved the food! Service was great.
Good food, waitress was a little slow on telling specials but very nice and got food out timely. Good overall experience. Alpharetta location is better though.
My husband’s birthday
Sage is a very dark and romantic place. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that they try very hard to upsell you on everything. No, I do not want to substitute my fish for the Sea Bass. No, I do not want the crab stuffing added to my fish. No, I do not want any toppings for my steak.
The food ranged from just OK to very good. The service was just a little off and the DJ in the bar made the entire place LOUD.
It's charging higher prices, but there's just something's not right. Torn "leather" on the benches, so so service etc.
I probably would not return.
Some friends called around 5:30 pm wanted us to go to dinner with them. We used Open Table to find a restaurant. All were booked until 7:30/8. Sage had space at 6:30 so off we went. Good decision! Food was excellent as was the service. Real nice pour of glass of wine to boot. Definitely will go back.
I showed up for dinner, this is my 3rd time coming but first time in the dinner area. Normally im just there for tapas and drinks- which are really good btw. This night it was both. We got there, honestly 15 minutes late to our reservation, but within a descent enough time to still be seated... The African american hostesses at the door where both unprofessional, rude, and ghetto. One who signed us in(taller slender with medium length hair) barely speak at all, she just stood there with a blank stare and wouldnt have said anything if I didnt smh, other than whats the name and shes coming to get you, And the next one- who sat us(shorter slender with long hair) came in and said out loud "Number ***, OH Hell Nah, Ununh, I'll be back.." Smh, Mind you we were the only ones really waiting at that time so I knew she was speaking of us and she knew she was being a ignorant on purpose! Our waiter was good and the food was great!! But they need to get the customer service of their hostesses together because it really set a bad tone. And Im usually not one to complain much but this was so offputting.. If anyone experiences this during your visit, Report it to the manager directly!!! We spent tooo much money in there to have been treated like that!
I have patronage Sage on other occasions for after work, hanging out in the bar area to enjoy the Tapas Menu, or on a date and just coming by to listen to a very good jazz saxophonist. Today I reserved a table for 4 for a birthday party. This was the 1st time for my 3 guests and the 1st time I enjoyed the dinning area. Everyone was impressed with Sage. 2 people I was there with are vegetarians and the menu did not have items for them. However, the waiter was very helpful as my guest pretty much created a dish for what was on the menu. The chef I was told was happy to create dishes for anyone and he did. My guest said the food was exceptional. The staff was professional and kind and the prices reasonable. My guests thanked me for introducing them to Sage and can’t wait to enjoy Sage again.
We all enjoyed our lunch, the service was great and we will be back!
