The sevice was very slow. It took over an hour to receive our salads and sandwiches. Would not recommend for lunch but definately for dinner.
Ambiance was great for a Monday night anniversary dinner (or so we thought considering it was our first time here)! The live music was perfect! However the service was less than mediocre! We were instantly greeted by the hostess who knew what why we were dining because of our reservation request and she sat us in a private semi round booth with a great setting. Well, that soon changed as we were displeased with our waitress who showed no concern of our special occasion, unlike the hostess did! Not only did she show no concern, she only checked on us once after our we received our meal.. and then that was followed by placing the check on our table - she didn’t ask us for additional drinks, received no refills, no request for dessert or anything else. Not sure if she was new or whatever the case .. most restaurants honor your occasion to some degree, however this waitress (Arielle) did not. Minus her service, I would have rated Sage a 5. But since I can’t, I won’t. So If you’re celebrating an occasion, I wouldn’t recommend Sage unless you don’t mind it being like a typical dinner night out.
This location near Perimeter Mall is just okay. Our waiter was slow and often confused. The food for all three of us (business lunch) was eh. Just average, definitely would not recommend to person asking where to go for lunch in the area. Mediocre food. For the price I’d much rather go to J Alexander’s.
Daughter was visiting from Milwaukee, wanted to go to a nice and special place close to where I worked. Read the reviews and believed this would be a good spot. Both of us had lunch salads, pricey for salads and underwhelming.
Food and service awesome!
Took a while before server stopped over after being seated. We were seated around 7:20pm. After server came we were ready to order. All in all took 45 minutes just to get a drink after being seated. Food was well presented and tasted very good.
Calvin was great in the bar. Food was good and so were the drinks.
My date and I enjoyed our evening. great food. great waitress. good drinks. This was my third time there. It was his first. The music and the opportunity to dance was great.
Service was terrible. Wouldn’t go again and definitely wouldn’t recommend unless you are looking to work on your patience
First time, won't be my last time. Got together as a guys night out. Had such a great time. Food was amazing. Friends had burgers but I had the seafood broil. Fish, shrimp and scallops were to die for...wish I had more. Portion was good..food was just so good I wanted more. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive too. Had live music (guitarist) that played over tracks....was a good treat. Might have found a new centrally located dining spot for the fellas. Scene was good.
always a good meal. server was good, but not great. never brought or offered bread. carried meals out separately with time in between. didn't know the special of the day
Sage has a great looking bar and love going there. The ambiance in that area is very nice. The restaurant itself is a little dark but it's pleasant. The service is decent, though not exceptional. Appetizers served for a table with no utensils. Have to take your existing fork, put it on the table between courses, which I don't like nor appreciate. Staff is pleasant however and that makes up for some of the lack of sophistication.
This restaurant was recommended to me by a co-worker. I decided to take my daughter for our mommy daughter date. I ordered the Prime Rib, my daughter had the Asiago Alfredo Pasta. I also ordered a Strawberry Martini. Nice setting, the restaurant had a total of 5 parties. The food wasn't great to say the least. I could've made a better steak than the one I ordered. Drink was just ok. My expectations were high after viewing the photos/reviews online. I ordered a French onion soup, I don't think the waiter heard me. I was thankful for that! The waiter had a great personality and have good customer service! the food wasn't!
Food was wonderful. Our waiter, Sheldon was on point and made excellent suggestions. It is a great place to meet friends. My only complaint is at 10:00 the noise and music steps up to another level which drove us out of there.
The food was Excellent. I gave it 3 stars because the bartender kept messing up my friends drinks and my drinks were really weak. I’m not really a drinker either. Also, it was so hot! They said it was because the have to keep the window open at the outside bar. I don’t know but it was almost unbearable. We couldn’t even enjoy our food. We were sweating and using our napkins and the menus to fan.
Online it looked great, but the food was mediocre and the crowd was a bit annoying. Wouldn't go back and it definitely wasn't the "upscale" atmosphere that they advertised online.
My son came to visit from out of State and we wanted to have a "special" dinner out. The menu looked great, so we tried Sage. The hostess acted like it was an inconvenience to seat us. No smile...no "enjoy your dinner." The waitress brought the wrong salad dressing. We looked at reviews afterward and saw mentions of bread. We had small plates on the table, but never were offered bread. My son's ribeye was dry as a bone at medium. My prime rib was obviously a reheat from a previous day. Dry, hard on the edges and no flavor of any sort. And only warm temperature wise. I told my son the sole of my shoe would have been tastier. There was au jus on the side, but prime rib should be juicy and flavorful without having to dunk it in something. The au jus did nothing to save this excuse for prime rib! We did not like the mashed potatoes. No potato taste at all. Dry with only the taste of what may have been caraway seeds. $125+ for this!?! Very disappointing. And to top it off, they did not enter in their system we made it for our Open Table reservation, and I had to confirm with Open Table we were there! I would give the food a negative star rating if I could. We cannot remember ever having such a terrible meal anywhere!
Not the best. Been before but probably won’t go back. It was hot and stuffy and never did cool down. Had a group of 7 and were stuck in dark corner small table. Had called ahead and asked for round table in garden room. Liked our server, but service was slow.
Ty, our server, was excellent. She was very engaging, had a great attitude, & provided excellent customer service. The food was excellent also.
My waiter did a good job overall.
It was not busy at all. But for some reason she forgot to keep bring us water.
Payment was due she took my card came back to the table and said it was declined.
Okay so I call my bank as well as look at my account , I see where there was a deduction from my card, but then placed back on my card. Okay I show her, she tries 4 more times instead if once more. Comes back to the table and says I'm sorry its delinced again. Now she ran my card five times my bank locked my card. I don't know if she knew what she was doing but I called the bank to make sure I was not charge all five times. Very upsetting to have to call the bank for them to tell me the first time it went through but then came back as declined. It was the restaurant fault not the bank. Irritating.
I order Buscheta which was way overloaded with the topping I mean way overloaded. I couldn't eat it all. But my guest enjoyed her meal.
I just hate what happend about my bank card.
Maybe you all should make sure your waiters have proper training on how to use the computer system on swiping people cards. I probably won't be back.
Yout staff should speak lightly about who is covering who because your short staffed.
If I was a secret shopper I would rate it as a 2. That's being nice.
Waiter was name Chris. He was friendly and give great service
It was my husband’s birthday and our waitress was phenomenal and took great care of us and brought out a nice birthday surprise at the End of our dinner!!
I came here at the recommendation of a colleague for a business lunch. However, the mood music and lighting seemed a bit too intimate. Furthermore, despite meeting just after the noon hour, our food didn't arrive until 12:50 pm, making both my colleague and me late for our following appointments. The salads were fine, but I probably would not return for lunch. Seems better suited for longer, intimate gatherings and evening occasions.
Good service , good food, hostess not the most welcoming and seemed put off at we were there right at 11:30am when they opened
The food and good but the reason why I will go back was the service. The prices are very reasonable.
My husband and I celebrated our 1yr anniversary at Sage. The food was good. My husband has the Ahi Tuna Med. and I had the steak Cesar salad. We both ordered drinks and had the bang bang shrimp appetizer. I feel like for the quantity/quality of food, the price was a bit high. For that reason, I don't think we will return. We can spend our $100 on dinner elsewhere and probably pay less for the same thing.
Food was decent/good. Mussels were extremely salty! BRUH! Shrimp and grits were OKAY.
Other than that, the goat cheese stuffed chicken was good. Our waiter disappeared after handing us our checks with incorrect items on it. So, we had to flag the manager down to find her so that she could fix our checks,
Great food, fabulous wait staff , fun vibe. The only tiny concern is the vestibule smells a little like cheap public school air fragrance, but it didn’t stop me from having dinner there 3 times in one week.
My steak was over cooked and the manager didn’t offer anything to make it right. I spent 150.00 and it was unappreciated!
Loved the ambiance! Music was on point! Excellent service and delicious food. Enjoyed it so much I'm going back this weekend when a friend comes to visit.
I decided at the last minute to be a sweetie and treat my X to a nice romantic birthday dinner.
While the drinks were superb, dinner was excellent and customer service was pleasant.
Surprisingly, the temperature was unusually WARM as we did not tell any air condition in.
Also, we were a little disappointed at the music because, we felt the volume was very high to be trying to enjoy a romantic night and attempting to converse...as we could barely hear each other during our dining experience.
Even while we conversed w/the waitress, we also could barely hear her as well.
Service was overly pleasant and overall enjoyed all except for the music volume & the hot temperature.
The service was excellent, as well as the food. We felt pampered and will definitely return, often!
Food was delicious. Service pretty slow. Waited a little over 20 minutes for a glass of wine.
Amazing!! The risotto was the best we have had in years!! Out server Allison was so attentive and knowledgable ! We will be back!!!.
Our service was outstanding! The food was delicious and arrived timely. I will definitely return to Sage again.
Had the special of the day sea bass salad. Not great. Sea bass way too cooked. Was dry.
Music in restaurant too loud couldn’t carryon conversation service country bumpkin and food mediocre will not return
I will start with the positive- our service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and made sure we never had to wait for her. The food was pretty good, I have always been a fan of Sage. The problem was the air conditioning, or lack thereof. It wasn't just warm, it was so hot we were literally sweating. So hot that we couldn't enjoy being out. So hot that we couldn't wait to get out of there. At first I thought maybe it was because we were seated near the kitchen, but after walking around the restaurant we discovered it wasn't our table, it was the entire building. Absolutely miserable. So disappointing.
The food, atmosphere, and service were top notch. I can't wait to go back!
Everything was amazing! The vibe, the food, the drinks, the waiter! I will be back!
