The salmon with RICH sauce is worthy the people who enjoy seasonal seafood. The RICH creamy dessert is so special and insightful. The environment is RICH in connotation that you can't wait to feel more about it.

There is a new menu that caters to both vegetarians and fish lovers. My wife had a deconstructed caramelized onion and mushroom tart with collard greens and carrot shavings as well as a side of scallops in smoked eggplant puree, with crispy pancetta sprinkles, parsnip chips, and micro radish greens. I had grilled octopus with parsnip veloute, toasted lentils they were tasty, and substantial. The fish is Ocean Wise. It was a very good meal and we enjoyed being there.
The salmon was very good and the sauce was excellent. This restaurant has very pleasant views on a clear day. The seating is good on the raised balcony near the bar. Otherwise the chairs look a bit utilitarian. There is plenty of space between the tables. The service was professional, but slightly slow. The menu is suitable for adults and lists a fairly limited range of dishes. The background music was classical on the day of our visit.
We had excellent service. The food was healthy and tasty. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
I have never been disappointed with my dining experience at Sage. Sometimes the menu is better than other times, but it is always good. I bring people from industry to speak to my engineering students, and invariably, they are impressed. Some of them who live in Vancouver have said they would like to bring their wives for dinner, or dine here on weekends, but unfortunately, only lunch is available.
You must really hate vegetarians. I have now successfully concluded over 10 years at UBC without a single decent vegetarian meal at Sage. It's impressive. At least this one I could eat, unlike the last one.
The food and staff at Sage are excellent but they should not take reservations at 1:45 and then tell us the kitchen closes at 2pm. I appreciated that they did take our orders after some urgent pressure but it did spoil our meal which was a celebration. Some items were not available.
Great food and service. Good for lunch with friends, with office colleagues, reception for events, etc.
Just a comment on the dish my lunch companion ordered - the Portobello mushroom - was quite salty. She ate most of her meal. I had a taste but personally would not have been able to eat very much of it.

Seafood pasta was clearly microwaved and the salmon steak was overcooked. Sauces were not overly sweet and the palettes of each dish were adequately healthy and balanced. However, for the asking price, the quality of the food wasn't really worth it. The view and service were quite nice good, creating a decent enough ambience. Wines were not too shabby as well!
Also, if you are a student, you can put alcoholic beverages on your flex dollars. :)
A little pricey for the amount of food but service and quality of food were excellent. A lot of natural light in the restaurant which made for a great environment overall.

Very relaxed feel of this place now that it is not crazy busy. . I definitely would return with other colleagues. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
My friend and I are regulars at Sage. The managers and servers are wonderful, friendly and have great knowledge of their menu. We always sat on the upper level and enjoyed the view with our delicious lunch. The pan-seared beef and cremini mushroom garganelli pasta is a MUST try! I like the play of the different flavors of whipped butter.
The food at Sage was clean and nourishing. I think Sage could do better with the atmosphere - there is nothing of visual interest in the room and I was disappointed in the view considering the location.
The service was VERY slow. Waited over an hour for food from arriving.
Although the staff weren't particularly welcoming the two times i've been, the view is outstanding and the food is phenomenal. They have great gluten free rolls, and a herb honey bread to die for!
It is a very relaxed but busy place, comfortable dining room. would return to try more dishes. Food was great and the service too. Keep it up. definitely a regular for us and we love it. have tried out a variety of foods and will keep trying. Great chef.
I've visited Sage since I was a Graduate student. Whenever I am there, I always feel comfortable and cozy. Yesterday, I had Wild Pacific Salmon dish. It was so awesome and great. The female server is always nice too. Definitely, I will visit Sage again as usual.

Sage is always a good place for a luncheon meeting, or to chat with friends over a tasty and beautifully presented meal. The restaurant is moderate to slightly expensive. Light lunch offerings during the weekdays are reasonably priced and tasty.
The staff were helpful and super knowledgeable about everything on the taste terrific menu. Our young son was treated to a Chefs special modification to his order so he was pleased. Desserts are each very beautiful and yummy. I'm definitely going to go back.
A tasty combination of lovely view and tasty lunch. The wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the food was improved from my last visit. The room lacks charm except for the bar area, but the view is dramatic.
Ordered the Seafood Tagliatelle. Portion was perfect but a little salty taste-wise (may be due to the capers). The salmon pieces were also fairly dry - I thought they tasted like smoked salmon.
I've dined here several times in the past but on this occasion, I found the service to be inconsistent. Soup of the day was not introduced - it would have been nice to know this when the menu was presented and/or when the order was taken. Oddly enough, this was done for the other tables seated after mine.
