Food was very tasty, somewhat pricey. We each had the onion soup and the halibut as an entree. The food was somewhat salty although delicious. Presentation beautiful.
I always enjoy coming to Sage.
The halibut was excellent: a large, fresh fillet pan-seared and accompanied by healthy portions of vegetables and rice. It couldn't be better.
We were going to Sage for a 60th birthday celebration which the restaurant was aware of. Our server rushed us from the minute we arrived, we all ordered a soup followed by a salad and were amazed when the soup arrived within minutes of the order. Two salads arrived immediately the soup spoons were put down and the other two salads arrived whilst my friends were still eating their soup and so the plates were promptly pushed aside for the salad to fit on the table. Finally my friends salad plate was removed while she still had some bread in her hand. What was supposed to be a leisurely, enjoyable celebration was a very rushed affair with us out of the restaurant in an hour!
It is always a pleasure to dine at Sage. I only wish it were open for dinner and on weekends.
Our lunch was superb. The clams were cooked to perfection. The halibut was moist and tender. The chocolate cheesecake was mouth watering. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. She has worked at the restaurant for 13 years. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. A repeat is in the works.
I booked through OpenTable and didn’t get my 100 points. This is my only complaint.

It was a shame to have a beautiful Niçoise Salad with an excess of salt.
I hadn't been to Sage for many years but again found it highly commendable. Being in July is was quieter than I remembered, having previously visited during term time. The server and service was quick and efficient. Both main dishes - the Wild Mushroom Risotto and the Grilled Heart of Romaine were very tasty and plentiful for a luncheon meal. I liked that the tables were well spaced giving a good sense of privacy. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
The food and atmosphere were excellent. This is the best place on campus to bring visitors.
This is the former faculty club at the university— steps away from the Museum of Anthropology. The room is very spare, with nice views of the mountains and gardens. Service was very friendly. We had the sable and it was fantastic.
Beautiful view and simple light airy decor.
Menu is healthy and innovative, presented and served elegantly. Very easy to cater for allergies. Server pointed out what foods were in season.
Unfortunately only open for lunch.

A great lunch spot on UBC campus close to the Chan Centre.
This is the one truly nice place to eat on the UBC campus and the food and view are excellent. Service is friendly and well informed.

The salmon with RICH sauce is worthy the people who enjoy seasonal seafood. The RICH creamy dessert is so special and insightful. The environment is RICH in connotation that you can't wait to feel more about it.

There is a new menu that caters to both vegetarians and fish lovers. My wife had a deconstructed caramelized onion and mushroom tart with collard greens and carrot shavings as well as a side of scallops in smoked eggplant puree, with crispy pancetta sprinkles, parsnip chips, and micro radish greens. I had grilled octopus with parsnip veloute, toasted lentils they were tasty, and substantial. The fish is Ocean Wise. It was a very good meal and we enjoyed being there.
The salmon was very good and the sauce was excellent. This restaurant has very pleasant views on a clear day. The seating is good on the raised balcony near the bar. Otherwise the chairs look a bit utilitarian. There is plenty of space between the tables. The service was professional, but slightly slow. The menu is suitable for adults and lists a fairly limited range of dishes. The background music was classical on the day of our visit.
We had excellent service. The food was healthy and tasty. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
I have never been disappointed with my dining experience at Sage. Sometimes the menu is better than other times, but it is always good. I bring people from industry to speak to my engineering students, and invariably, they are impressed. Some of them who live in Vancouver have said they would like to bring their wives for dinner, or dine here on weekends, but unfortunately, only lunch is available.
You must really hate vegetarians. I have now successfully concluded over 10 years at UBC without a single decent vegetarian meal at Sage. It's impressive. At least this one I could eat, unlike the last one.
The food and staff at Sage are excellent but they should not take reservations at 1:45 and then tell us the kitchen closes at 2pm. I appreciated that they did take our orders after some urgent pressure but it did spoil our meal which was a celebration. Some items were not available.
Great food and service. Good for lunch with friends, with office colleagues, reception for events, etc.
Just a comment on the dish my lunch companion ordered - the Portobello mushroom - was quite salty. She ate most of her meal. I had a taste but personally would not have been able to eat very much of it.
My flank steak was just right.
Steak was very dry, should improve on food selection and quality.
