Sage Room - Harvey's Lake Tahoe
The Sage Room’s décor includes original Native American lamps that were gifted to Harvey's from the Washoe Tribe, the original bar, and hand-hewn beams that were part of the original log cabin that housed Harvey's in 1944.
The Sage Room features unique appetizers and salads prepared table side, along with Black Angus steaks, poultry, veal, lamb, Beef Wellington and seafood. Dessert specialties include Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee, both prepared table side.

Great service and good. It was our honeymoon and they made it a great experience ..
This would be your best choice if you're trying to deciding between Hells Kitchen & Sage Room. If you want to be able to talk to your table mates & enjoy the evening meal, this would be your ONLY choice! I would compare the other to eating in a Loud sports bar blaring lights & extremely LOUD heavy metal band playing.
Superb steaks, drinks, and service!
I still cannot believe how perfect the dinner and the service was tonight. I wish I lived closer to Harvey's. We always dine here when we come to Lake Tahoe. Don't change a thing because you are the absolute best.
Sage Room was not quite what we expected, if I compare it to the Harvey’s Friday Station, I would prefer Friday Station. Don’t get me wrong, this food was great at the Sage Room, and the service was alright. We went there to celebrate our anniversary, the Manager knew we were there to celebrate our anniversary, but for some reason or another, the waiter was not informed. He and his helper never mentioned or say “Happy Anniversary” to us at all. And we did not get the Celebration Dessert we would normally get. I did order a dessert for us, but we were so disappointed they did not send us a special one. However, the table next to us did get one.
I did not mention to the waiter about our Anniversary, because I knew he was not informed by his management as they should have done. We still prefer dining at Harvey’s Friday Station because service and food are always great. I am sure we’ll give Sage Room another try again, hopefully things will be better.
Soo delicious!! Great all around! The food, service and ambiance...great!!
Beautiful view of the lake! Food was outstanding. Great for special event.
We will keep going back. The food is great the service is great and the drinks were great
It was very romantic.
The service was spectacular. I had the Sage steak and it was hands down the best steak I’ve ever had.
Good steaks, excellent service, fantastic ambience and view.
Great way to spend our anniversary. Great service. Great food. Well-portioned plates.
Unbelievable food and service as usual!
Very good! Previous location was better. It had more of a classic style.
I went with my 17 year old son and spent two hours in food heaven.
The dinner was excellent, we were seated as soon as we arrived. Service could not have been better. Then we were there to see the sunset over beautiful Lake Tahoe!
What can be said?? Teddy waited on us. His superb skills at table side....from Caesar salad.... steak Diane...cafe Diablo. Nothing compares. Superb.
Fantastic meal from start to finish!
First time here since the move upstairs. Very good upgrade. It used to have a very western theme, now it is pretty modern with just a few of the western items on the upper level. Good views of the Lake from most of the tables. Our server was a little slow, but during these times we try to give everyone a break. Food was still as good as before and worth the wait. Prices are high, but portions are good and you expect to pay more in a tourist casino anyway. Like that the meals include a starch and veggies so you don't get ala-carted to death.
View is wonderful. Service was impeccable. Food was great.
Our food was very good. Our waiter was certainly not the most attentive or even friendly. Compared to the service we had at Harrahs. Sage room waiters were not great
food is great as always, miss the ambience of original sage rood
The food was great as always but it is getting very pricey. The service was excellent. We had to order off a digital menu which kind of sucks but understandable during COVID times.
What was a $100 dinner two years ago is now $200 and getting out of reach. The atmosphere was much brighter than it was when in the casino. Due to COVID and table closures, we had to sit near the kitchen door. Not really great for a romantic dinner. No window seats available. No booths available. The place hasn't changed much since it was Kitchen 19, just a few of the decorations from downstairs brought up.
All in all, it was good.
Best option for an elegant dinner overlooking Lake Tahoe. Top notch food, service, and atmosphere. Fine steaks, seafood and attentive staff will make your delicious meal a memorable experience.
Finish with the flambé desserts. Extensive wine list.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant it was really elegant it was really nice and they had a really good view. The area was really relaxing the service was amazing. The server was On point to follow with all the recommended ideas for the night.
We had a wonderful dinner. The staff was excellent and attentive, the food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was quiet and cozy, and the service was top-notch. My wife had "Steak Diane" that was prepared right at the table and the waiter did a superb job! This was our 13th anniversary dinner and they brought us a lovely bowl of delicious vanilla ice cream for our desert, on the house. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was great. However the service was very slow considering the restaurant was not very busy. Overall, my wife and I had a good time.
The food was excellent, outstanding.
Our service was great.
The noise level was high because of a very loud group of 4 people, though I don't know what management could have done about it. So loud when they left, suddenly I heard music, I had no idea music was playing because they were so loud.
We were seated against the wall so I don't know how the rest of the restaurant looks.
Though, I know the wall needs paint touch up, huge chips taken out of it down to the plaster. Not great when the wall is your view.
I recommend going before dark so you have a view, even from the wall area. We were there late, 9pm.
I will go again, the food and the service were great.
Best view for dinner in Tahoe! We had a server that was very "cold" towards us. Seared Ahi and the wedge salad were very good. The NY steak was underwhelming. Overall, I will not be going back due to my experience there. Park Prime at The Hard Rock is better IMO.
Excellent food and great view at sunset.
Food was very good. Loved the shrimp with risotto. View was outstanding. Wonderful place to celebrate special occasions
We have been to the Sage Room many times. This was our first time at the new location on the 19th floor of Harvey's. The view was spectacular, they still have the western themed art, which pleased us. The food was terrific as always as was the service. The Sage Room has always been one of our favorite steak houses. The other two favorites are now gone. Sterlings at the Silver Legacy is now a chain restaurant and The Steak House at Harrah's Reno is gone as well.
Food was poor quality
Service was slow
Overpriced for the experience they gave us.
Will not return
well I have ate here numerous times but this was the worst my prime rib. It was a tough piece I couldn't cut it at all, garden salad was wilted, baked potatoe was cold
Ate at the new HK the night before and had better service and food at the Sage, can’t go wrong!!!
Excellent service and ambiance. Very good food and professional wait staff
Excellent food, service and view.
Such a beautiful view. Amazing food and courteous service. Always love dining here.
We had a phenomenal dinner at the Sage Room. The food was outstanding and the view of the sunset was breathtaking. My husband and I shared the chateaubriand for two, and it was fabulous! We would definitely get it again.
Of the 3 steakhouses between Harrahs and Harveys this is definitely the best. We liked Fridays station and Hell’s Kitchen, it Safe room was the best with the best views (Hell’s kitchen has no view and ambience is almost non-existent but servers and food was good).
Went here for our anniversary dinner. Had the best appetizer we've ever had and enjoyed an amazing dinner and an even better dessert! View was beautiful, restaurant atmosphere was perfect, and the wait staff couldn't have been better.
