Sage Room - Harvey's Lake Tahoe Ratings and Reviews
We have dimes here many times This was the 1st time we were really disappointed Steak was very over done. Service was simply ok. Wasn’t that busy so I didn’t understand the mediocre food and service. I hope it’s not Time to try and find a better restaurant in Tahoe .
Never knew that this gem was the heartbeat of Harvey's Casino...the casino was actually built around this "outpost". Food was AMAZING and our waiters, Teddy & Hal were absolute perfection. And for the first time in my life, my waiter came back to our table after processing our payment and literally thanked us for the "generous tip". Very classy!
The Sage Room is my absolute favorite place for dinner. Ozzie, the Matre de is fabulous - so warm and friendly - he makes everything perfect. Marc is my favorite waiter there - he takes care of things before you ask. The Escargot is the best I've ever had and I order it every time I go there. No one else gets the sauce like they do, and I've tried it in places wherever I go - it can't be matched.
Have I said enough? I could go on and on. The Sage Room is the greatest!
Our first time to the Sage Room and will definitely not be our last...we can't wait to go again. The tableside dining was fantastic - best spinach salad and Steak Diane we have ever had! We absolutely loved Chef Haddad and Chef Shawn Petersen - very personable and professional and made our evening so special. Also thanks to our server Teddy (who's been there 31 years!) and also to Jeremy. The ambience of the dining room was so fabulous...just like the famous steakhouses from years ago. Don't change a thing - the Sage Room is an absolute jewel!
The Sage was very good The service was great. I do not like to be rushed and they let me set the pace
I had probably had the best salad wedge I ever had. They can add some warm bacon and some warm and very tasty French fried onions.
The ribeye was cooked perfectly and the baked potato is served at the table with what ever add-ons you want
Over all a great meal. Not cheap but worth the price
Recommended by a local and this did not disappoint!. Coming from a foodie Town myself this was a phenomenal date night for my girlfriend's birthday. The elk was some of the best I've ever had. her meal was on Spot too and the show with the Diablo coffee was lots of fun.
The Sage room has a good ambiance, great service. The very expensive food was average. I had ordered $90 lobster tails for wife and they were dry and a bit overcooked. As for my prime rib, besides the portion being very big it didn't taste all that great. TBH, I was a bit disappointed.
Amazing food and wonderful service! We arrived for a birthday dinner early and they seated us right away. We had 2 very attentive servers who were great! Steaks and lobster were unbelieveble! We had teenagers with us and they loved the flambé chocolate dessert. The Sage room sign is a little hard to find in Harvey’s casino but once inside it’s worth it!!
Top notch service and food in a great quiet setting, yet right off the casino floor. This place has not changed in the 45 years I have lived here. I used to go more often, I think I will have to be doing that again. This place has been a well-run gem since forever.
When you pay $50 a plate you expect your food to come out correct. The steaks were over done. The vegetables and the potatoes were bland. The servers were great. However the power went out during our meal! It was out for a majority of our meal. The alarm was going off the entire meal and the whole atmosphere was ruined. They did compensate for part of our bill. I would not go that the food was not cooked right too expensive
Wasn't certain what to expect as it is located inside Harvey's casino, but it's a really great oasis. Love the interior - very cozy. Service is excellent, sometimes a little too attentive - I don't want to spend my meal assuring the staff that we are fine. The food was really terrific. We actually ate there twice (once with friends) and tried lots of things - beef wellington (great), table side caesar salad (great), wedge salad (very good), shrimp cocktail (good), filet mignon (great), shrimp with risotto (shrimp were almost undercooked, risotto was just meh), prime rib (great) crab cake (great), and lobster bisque (great). Wine list is solid, but I would say overpriced. Overall, a great experience.
