   I made the error of booking a BarWindow table as it was the only option for window seating. We were celebrating a Birthday(2 people) and the bar was full of overly loud and intoxicated patrons. If I would have know the main dining room was 2 stories and full views of the lake I would have chosen that. Service was amazing, food was exceptional and I would def return!

   The food and service were excellent. We were lucky and were given a wonderful table which had a better view of Lake Tahoe than the window side tables. Our waiter, Jose, was easy to work with and gave good advice.

   Very disappointed in the food. Prime rib was ordered medium and was so dry it was inedible. VERY tough meat. For the prices charged one would expect a higher level of food preparation. Our servers and bar service were wonderful - Just very disappointed with the food across all four members in our party.

   We have always enjoyed our meals at Sage room especially when they were on ground floor. Teddy has been our server several times and has always done a superior job. Great views great service and great food and drink

   We went last night and it was spectacular! We had a window seat, right at sunset and it was everything we hoped it would be for my husband's Birthday. We started with the Tuna Tartare, the Husband had the 16oz Prime Rib and I had the Salmon. They even surprised him with a Birthday dessert. 🤗 Everything was just great and we appreciate the service and everything! For sure coming back.

   Incredible view and waiter Teddy was awesome. Food another story. Cold Crab Cake, Bland French Onion Soup and way to much garlic in the Caesar (and we love garlic). Just not good

    The prime New York strip had no flavor, which is unfortunate considering the price. We spend over $200 and could have had a comparable meal for a fraction of the cost at Applebees. We expected better and are very disappointed with the overall experience.

    I ordered the lobster and filet. It's a steakhouse, the filet came out extremely over cooked. The staff was great, but by the time they refired my filet, we were done eating. They did comp my steak and mashed potatoes, but it's still a Steakhouse. Lol

    What an amazing experience. The sunset view from the 19th floor was perfect. The drinks and food were unique and delectable. French Onion soup was recommended and did not disappoint. The table side service for Spinach Salad and Diablo Coffee was very enjoyable—wish we had not been so stuffed or we would have had the Bananas Foster. Our waiter, Hal, has been pleasantly serving guests since April 4, 1988–that’s 35 years and Hal was stellar! Worth doing over again and again!

    Sage room never fails to impress. Iconic name for the original steakhouse at Harvey's. Now located on the 19th floor of the hotel overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe. Does it get any better than this? Table side service and outstanding menu choices. If you miss the old rustic Sage Room from the first floor. They brought some of the original fixtures upstairs, so you can reminisce. Sage Room is always my, "go to restaurant" for fine dining in South Lake Tahoe.

    Perhaps my nostalgia for the original Sage Room colored my experience. Nevertheless, we were disappointed. We appreciated getting Oysters Rockefeller when they weren't on the menu, but they were not up to previous Sage Room standards. The Caesar Salad was fine, but the Porterhouse for two was not rare as we had ordered. It was medium. To finish off our meal, we each ordered Cafe Diablo, which we never received. I guess they forgot.

We celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary and truly enjoyed dinner and the service from your entire Sage Room staff (check-in and waitstaff).     Everything was perfect EXCEPT my medium rare steak came well done TWICE! Finally just ate the least overcooked center. Disappointing because our food has always been exceptional here in the past. Everything else was great, just not the ribeye.

    Haven't been to the Sage Room in a while. Had a wonderful Anniversary dinner there on the 23rd. Our server Evan was outstanding, making great suggestions and taking good care of us, while leaving us space and time. It was also great to run into our long-time pal Tara (we've literally known her for 15 plus years) here in South Lake Tahoe at various restaurants. Glad she has a home at the Sage Room.
