Sage - ARIA
This is a great venue in the Vegas dining scene. Great ambiance makes it a perfect date spot and the food is excellent with great service: it meets and exceeds expectations
Great food.....service levels were not as polished as the last time I was there.
Well run establishment with knowledgeable wait staff and sommelier. On the expensive side especially for the portion size, but that is kind of expected in Vegas. The dinning room is designed nicely and the decors was elegant. Although the design of the room is well laid out, it does have poor acoustics that allows sound to carry throughout the restaurant.
Overall it was a nice experience for my wife and I, just be prepared for a little extra noise and reduced portion sizes.
Very disappointing service. Won’t go back
See previous review. Lived up to my initial experience the second time around!
Very good food, nice ambiance and friendly service
The food at Sage is outstanding and the service from the General Manager to the waiter were extremely attentive and kind. I would highly recommend this. They had an artichoke soup that was to die for. I wish I could have the recipe. The steak was done to perfection, the pappardelle was melting in my mouth. Loved it from beginning to end
Everything about Sage was wonderful. Food delicious and presentation lovely. Would highly recommend, even though a bit pricey. Will go again.
Not enough waiter/waitress.
Great experience. Perfect service and delicious food.
The food was good. It was the Las Vegas, over-the-top, decadent meal that one should expect at a Vegas resort. Presentation was good, and the staff were on their A-game taking care of everything. The restaurant was quiet, so no problems with casual conversations.
Got seated right away.. lady had a la carte roasted eggplants vegan dish. I had the Wagyu filet (skipped the bacon).both dishes delicious. Portions are good.
Sage is a very stylish restaurant . Food was different , the Oysters were fresh an delicious , risotto with black truffles were outstanding , to the contrary the duck breast was disappointed cold , no crispy skin with tendons and not fudgy. Service was good.
This was such a top notch experience. I booked on open table and when I checked in we got seated right away. The waiter came up and greeted me by name before ever meeting me. Great communication the host and him had. He recommended great dishes and checked in to see if we had any allergies. Every time I got up to go to the restroom someone came by and folded my napkin.
The only thing that could be better is the drinking glasses smell fishy. I thought it maybe was the tap water so we ordered bottled and it still smelt fishy.
The food was mixed, with some outstanding dishes and some not as good. The Hamachi crisp appetizer was wonderful. I had the chicken entree, and the breast meat was wonderful but the leg/thigh meat which is typically my favorite had much less flavor and seemed a bit dry. Service was a bit slow but they were lovely about providing me with a gluten free bread option.
John was our primary server and he was disengaged and unfriendly. Examples:
1. When my wife asked what was the “signature cocktail” he might recommend, he replied she should look at the list on back page;
2. When I asked about an ingredient in one of the cocktails that I was unfamiliar with, he replied it was a liquor without further explanation about its taste profile;
3. He was generally in a rush to leave our table and on 2 occasions abruptly left before we had finished asking questions;
4. The sommelier came by to check on wine selection we made and took another order for a cocktail from my wife. It never arrived.
5. We ordered two appetizers, two mains and my wife wanted to try the soup. We asked if it could be “two plated” so we could both try it. We were told this could not be done and server brought us two spoons instead. This led to the inelegant passing back and forth of the bowl of soup for us both to try.
We watched other servers interact with their tables and noted longer discussions about the menu etc. and we were disappointed that we did not receive the same service.
My wife ordered the scallops main course and it was gritty/sandy disclosing improper cleaning of the scallops. Server never checked back to see how meal was going and she ultimately did not eat half of the scallops.
When server was made aware of this at end of meal, he walked away with the plate with barely an acknowledgement that she had not enjoyed or completed her meal.
In fairness, Robert the GM attended at our table and was friendly and acknowledged the issue by offering free dessert and removed the charge for her dinner.
1. The veal appetizer and soup were excellent.
2. My pork main course was a beautiful plate of food and the dish sang
3. The secondary servers were all prompt and friendly
4. Loved the room
Sadly, all of the forgoing issues compromised what should have been a great experience.
We have dinner at Sage whenever we are in Las Vegas. They have a new Executive Chef and our meal this week was fabulous. The artichoke soup was excellent and a good value for the price, especially with truffles added. The sweetbreads are always good. Our entrees were both superb: the Iberico pork and the veal cheeks. The new preparation of the pork is fabulous! We often do the foie gras brulee as a dessert, and the current version worked well for that purpose. Service is always friendly and efficient. We asked the sommelier for suggestions for wine to accompany our meals and were impressed that he recommended reasonably priced wines even though we didn't specify a price range. Sage is located in a quiet, elegant room. We really appreciate that it doesn't have the loud music of so many Vegas restaurants.
Service was outstanding. Server, sommelier and manager all provided exception help and service. Menu choices excellent and food quality, taste and presentation excellent. Beautiful room and tables not crowded.
Loved the tasting menu. Great food and ambiance. Downsides were music too loud and staff looked too casual (rolled up sleeves??? Why?)
They made an order mistake and our server was lovely and offered a great wine pairing with our meal as an apology. Was a great meal!!
A great experience!
Absolutely enjoyed everything that we have ordered. We will definitely be back.
Not bad, but not something to "write home about". Restaurant at Paris tower is in the same price range, but soooooo much better
The ambiance and service was amazing! Food was to die for!! One of the best meals we have ever eaten!
The best meal we had in Vegas! The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Our waiter, Jason, was fantastic! I mean over the top fantastic! We shared the Foie Gras Brulee and it was wonderful. My artichoke soup was sooo good. All our entrees were phenomenal. We had the Halibut, Chicken, and the Iberico Pork. Some of the best food we had ever eaten. We also had many desserts, and all were wonderful. The b-day girl was also treated to an Absinthe after dinner. That was quite the presentation. Sage was absolutely fantastic! Just go here, you wont be disappointed!
This is a mid level soulless restaurant trying to appear high end. The space is like a large hotel conference room. Said it was my husband’s 50th b day and they did nothing. Worst part was the photographer ordering us around and pressuring us to buy photos. Overall disappointing.
A great experience with amazing food and impeccable service. Perfect for a romantic date
Tasting menu very disappointing. Dishes were unbalanced. Too rich and fatty. Vegetables non existent. Disappointing
Excellent food, great service.
Very good food, excellent service and experience. 4 star overall because I feel it is overpriced.
Food was excellent and so was server. Food delivery was slow, however. Quality of food was outstanding.
The restaurant is no longer for fine dining, not that you would know that based on their prices. It has become a noisy hip Strip restaurant. Lots of people in flip flops and jeans while we are paying $150. per
person. Only one of our party really liked the food, which was a strip steak (ironically). Otherwise, pasta too spicy, halibut cooked too much. Not worth it
This was our first visit to Sage and it was a positive one. We arrived a bit early and our table was not quite ready and they comp'ed us a drink for the inconvenience....wow, we we early so that was not really necessary, but very nice. After that, they honored our seating request and we had oysters, salad, lamb neck pasta, and mains of scallops and a filet among us, followed by dessert. That was accompanied by a fantastic pinot noir recommended by the sommelier. We finished with an absinthe dessert drink from an extensive menu, which was also comp'ed because our appetizers were a bit delayed in the kitchen. Wow again. The price point was very good for a meal of this quality, service was great, and we did not feel rushed. All in all a great evening and we would return again.
Great food and nice portions. Great wine list.
I like Sage a lot, we’ve eaten here 3 times, BUT- the service is so slow. I do not like to wait 20 minutes between courses and that is what we have done each time we have eaten there. The food is delicious and inventive, and the restaurant is gorgeous but the service really needs to flow more smoothly between courses!
Sage has been one of my all time favorite dining experiences. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were amazing and our server Virginia and the rest of the staff were attentive and made everything perfect even at the late hour we arrived. Everything was simply amazing! Thank you for the wonderful experience Sage!
The best food. I would go there any time I am in Vegas. The scallops were sooooo good
Outstanding service. Best salmon ever.
