The food is incredible: from the flavors to the creativity and presentation, the food is fantastic. I wish I could say the same about the service. Being a director of hospitality myself, I tend to notice aspects of proper or poor service, and unfortunately Sage is full of them. The hostesses were lovely and welcoming, and the ambiance and decor are beautiful. Out server was about 12 minutes late to our table (enough time for both of us to use the w.c.) and once he did come over there was no introduction of himself nor a "welcome", but rather "do you know what you'd like to order?" If you're looking for great food then you'll enjoy Sage, but don't get all dressed up thinking it'll be an enjoyable dining experience.
It is amazing! I can’t give it 5 star value bc everything in Vegas is so expensive but it’s amazing and worth every penny. Do not miss dinner there!
Everything about Sage is perfect! Great ambiance, wonderful and knowledgeable service, food is outstanding. We have the waygu strip steak and filet and they were perfectly cooked and super tender. One thing to note is the strip steak is huge! It can definitely be split between 2 people. The iberico pork was a medley of perfectly paired foods. The pork itself melted in your mouth. The wine selection is impeccable. Not one complaint about the evening and look forward to going back again!
We did the vegan tasting menu and it was perfect with wine pairing where the sommelier came by to discuss each choice. We have only been doing vegan for a while and I was skeptical but this exceeded all expectations.
Our server was very accommodating to our needs, allergies, and time. And It was a lovely meal as well.
We came for my husbands 50th birthday and the food and service far exceeded all exceeded all expectations. Our meal was cooked perfectly, delivered flawlessly and so perfect! Thank you to everyone at Sage for making our celebration so memorable.
Food was wonderful and moderately priced. The restaurant is beautiful. The server seemed to forget us as the evening progressed. Overall, I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Fifth wedding anniversary dinner -- place looked great. Service was impeccable and every single dish was delicious. Creative and high end without drifting into pretense or sacrificing comfort and satisfaction. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, exciting cocktails, terrible service. Truly these folks don't get that no place is good enough to treat customers poorly. With so many wonderful high end restaurants in Las Vega, one can find equally fine cuisine, with much better service.
Sage is one of my favorite restaurants. We have dined many many times. This occasion was very disappointing! I had an appetizer and before I was finished they brought the next course and asked me to move my plate over. Also every single entree included mushrooms! They need to get back to creativity!As expensive as this restaurant is one should not be rushed!
The food was over cooked and then delivered cold. Servers were nice, but the place was noisy.
We did the Chefs menu with the wine pairing. It was fabulous! Service was wonderful.
Been dining here for 10 years. It is still unparalleled even with all the new restaurants in Vegas.
Great meal as always. Our waiter (don't remember his name but he was Bulgarian) was fantastic. Polite, friendly, efficient, knowledgable. Please pass on our thanks to the staff!
Never disappoints - third time we have eaten there- the food, service and ambiance are fabulous
still a winner
The waiters service and the sommeliers experience and suggestions were both excellent! A definite must visit if you’re there.
Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience. The place was busy, understaffed, our waiter took our order and promptly abandoned us. Appies came out before dinner, bread order forgotten, drinks took forever, no quality check throughout appies which were ordered after they tried to serve us our mains first. This was our anniversary dinner at Sage. Disappointing.
Such a great experience at Sage. Such delicious food and the absinthe experience was awesome. Can’t wait to come her back.
Great ambience, specialty cocktails and food! Great for any special occasion or just a nice dining experience.
Excellent food - the foie gras was the best ever! Service was great and got us to the show in plenty of time!
I have been here about ten times and it never disappoints.
Food was good but the ambiance was boring,
Everything was GREAT! However, the food is pricey $$$$. You're paying the price for the ambiance via the food.
This is a great venue in the Vegas dining scene. Great ambiance makes it a perfect date spot and the food is excellent with great service: it meets and exceeds expectations
Great food.....service levels were not as polished as the last time I was there.
Well run establishment with knowledgeable wait staff and sommelier. On the expensive side especially for the portion size, but that is kind of expected in Vegas. The dinning room is designed nicely and the decors was elegant. Although the design of the room is well laid out, it does have poor acoustics that allows sound to carry throughout the restaurant.
Overall it was a nice experience for my wife and I, just be prepared for a little extra noise and reduced portion sizes.
Very disappointing service. Won’t go back
See previous review. Lived up to my initial experience the second time around!
Very good food, nice ambiance and friendly service
The food at Sage is outstanding and the service from the General Manager to the waiter were extremely attentive and kind. I would highly recommend this. They had an artichoke soup that was to die for. I wish I could have the recipe. The steak was done to perfection, the pappardelle was melting in my mouth. Loved it from beginning to end
Everything about Sage was wonderful. Food delicious and presentation lovely. Would highly recommend, even though a bit pricey. Will go again.
Not enough waiter/waitress.
Great experience. Perfect service and delicious food.
The food was good. It was the Las Vegas, over-the-top, decadent meal that one should expect at a Vegas resort. Presentation was good, and the staff were on their A-game taking care of everything. The restaurant was quiet, so no problems with casual conversations.
Got seated right away.. lady had a la carte roasted eggplants vegan dish. I had the Wagyu filet (skipped the bacon).both dishes delicious. Portions are good.
Sage is a very stylish restaurant . Food was different , the Oysters were fresh an delicious , risotto with black truffles were outstanding , to the contrary the duck breast was disappointed cold , no crispy skin with tendons and not fudgy. Service was good.
This was such a top notch experience. I booked on open table and when I checked in we got seated right away. The waiter came up and greeted me by name before ever meeting me. Great communication the host and him had. He recommended great dishes and checked in to see if we had any allergies. Every time I got up to go to the restroom someone came by and folded my napkin.
The only thing that could be better is the drinking glasses smell fishy. I thought it maybe was the tap water so we ordered bottled and it still smelt fishy.
Excellent!
The food was mixed, with some outstanding dishes and some not as good. The Hamachi crisp appetizer was wonderful. I had the chicken entree, and the breast meat was wonderful but the leg/thigh meat which is typically my favorite had much less flavor and seemed a bit dry. Service was a bit slow but they were lovely about providing me with a gluten free bread option.
John was our primary server and he was disengaged and unfriendly. Examples:
1. When my wife asked what was the “signature cocktail” he might recommend, he replied she should look at the list on back page;
2. When I asked about an ingredient in one of the cocktails that I was unfamiliar with, he replied it was a liquor without further explanation about its taste profile;
3. He was generally in a rush to leave our table and on 2 occasions abruptly left before we had finished asking questions;
4. The sommelier came by to check on wine selection we made and took another order for a cocktail from my wife. It never arrived.
5. We ordered two appetizers, two mains and my wife wanted to try the soup. We asked if it could be “two plated” so we could both try it. We were told this could not be done and server brought us two spoons instead. This led to the inelegant passing back and forth of the bowl of soup for us both to try.
We watched other servers interact with their tables and noted longer discussions about the menu etc. and we were disappointed that we did not receive the same service.
My wife ordered the scallops main course and it was gritty/sandy disclosing improper cleaning of the scallops. Server never checked back to see how meal was going and she ultimately did not eat half of the scallops.
When server was made aware of this at end of meal, he walked away with the plate with barely an acknowledgement that she had not enjoyed or completed her meal.
In fairness, Robert the GM attended at our table and was friendly and acknowledged the issue by offering free dessert and removed the charge for her dinner.
The positives:
1. The veal appetizer and soup were excellent.
2. My pork main course was a beautiful plate of food and the dish sang
3. The secondary servers were all prompt and friendly
4. Loved the room
Sadly, all of the forgoing issues compromised what should have been a great experience.
