What Insiders Are Saying
Welcome to West Broadway Reform, Temple Of Hot Bagels.
Service couldn't have been better but it's overpriced. A bowl of soup and a cup of tea for $25.00 inc. tax and tip?! And even though the broth was good, it was the worst matzoh ball I ever had.
Loved celebrating my birthday at Sadelles! Only complaint was that they were out of sticky buns
These guys do the best Jewish comfort food in the city - full stop.
Great staff, great food and good times.
My older children and I had breakfast there on Friday. I had poached eggs, fruit (instead of home fries), and a gluten free bagel with cream cheese-all excellent. The bagel had lots of flavor and good texture. My daughter had the healthy breakfast which was a thick egg sandwich with this green chilli sauce, arugula and a side of avocado-so yummy. My son had the famous french toast and he LOVED it! He actually couldn't finish it as the portion is huge and filling. I absolutely suggest getting this as it is unique and you can share it. Not inexpensive, but not pricey in NY. Loved the two levels of seating too. WORTH GOING!
It is suggested to make a reservation.
Excellent food and service! Loved it and we will be back!
Crabby server, but perfect salmon platter and yummy French toast!
Fun atmosphere (loved the 'oldies' music) and good food. My husband who is celiac was able to have a very good gluten free bagel which is hard to find. Our waiter was helpful and accommodating. Thank you!
Individually, every dish was delicious. Don’t compare it to Barney Greengrass. It’s apples and oranges really. But the smoked salmon and onion omelette does not go well with sticky buns. But it’s totally fun and enjoyable.
The house salmon was excellent.
Loved the food but my seat was next to the cashier .. couldn’t see the view downstairs... super tight seating arrangement
We got the fish tower with unlimited bagels. Great idea for 4 people. We also got the blintzes and the jam tasted homemade.
Sadelle’s is a classic who has remained focus on good food and great service !
Great food always!
Food was good, the service was not very good. We like this place but this time were disappointed with the service.
Lovely. Food was superb and well presented. Staff was well informed and delightful. Excellent experience.
We had breakfast here on December 30. We wanted to love it but just can't. The food is unbelievably expensive -- $24.00 for a bagel with lox (smoked salmon), $6.00 for a cup of coffee -- which might be OK if the food is excellent. Unfortunately, it's not. The bagels are small and not particularly tasty. The smoked salmon was mild to the point of lacking flavor. And the french toast was somewhat underdone. And as if $125.00 for bagels and french toast for a family of 4 wasn't enough, our waiter kept trying to up-sell us. The space is absolutely gorgeous, but we came to eat, not just to soak up the atmosphere. Would not return.
Our fave place
Great atmosphere and food! We wanted to try as much as we could from the menu and everything we had was great. Absolutely amazing!
Excellent atmosphere, great food and friendly staff
Not pleased with this dining experience at all. Way way over priced, even for Soho. Total bill was over $150 for 2 people to eat essentially breakfast. Soup was poor/ tasteless, eggs were burnt, bacon was skimpy, $9 for a side of bland potatoes, 20 mins to get drinks (the place was empty). Overall a lot of better options in the area for less or equal price. Skip this place and move on.
Had a great time. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious, if albeit a bit overpriced.
We had a great time enjoyed the food It was a little cramped.
Had a reservation for 12:30 but weren’t seated until 10 til 1. Also only two bathrooms for the entire restaurant including the staff...good thing the food was good!
Great for brunch
Great table, amazing service, memorable food! Will definitely be back!
Always good food when we go here. The spot is cute and fun and though cramped for a party of 6 or more that is expected and the service and food were on point.
Amazing food, the preparation and freshness of ingredients used is apparent. We ate the tuna and egg w breakfast potatoes *omg delicious. Can get pricey but so well worth it!! hard to get a res. We had to go @ 8:30am Sunday morn, luckily we have a baby so it works for us!
Incredible.. great food!!! I would highly recommend
Food is always amazing and service top notch. I wish they would lower the lights and use the candles at night again. It’s much more casual with the lights on and I like a little more romantic atmosphere at night.
Came to celebrate with two friends.
Service was terribly poor - waiters / waitresses were inattentive
They closed the Kitchen and didn’t give us any warning - we wanted to order more
Amazing great food and amazing service
Great fresh bagel
the food is always delicious as is the coffee, however it gets soooo loud and cramped.
We had the best smoked salmon (lox), bagel and cream cheese meal of all time by far! It was served on platters, all the fixings were included and the food was fabulous! Others in our group had the French Toast and the Egg Sandwich and they were equally outstanding.
We were also very pleased that they held our table because we were 20 minutes late due to a subway issue. They couldn't not have been nicer considering how busy the restaurant was that morning.
This is now at the top of our list when visiting New York for Breakfast!
So overrated. Burnt $6 coffee. Small amount of food for the price you pay. Just wish we never went.
The smoked salmon was excellent, but bagels mediocre and other items like Benedict and scrambled eggs completely overpriced for quality. Definitely a lot of hype for nothing although I would go to takeout for smoked salmon to take home in future.
Always a consistent delicious meal at Sadelles.
Everything was perfect, really nice brunch, however we were sitting at a corner table and two small bugs where next to our seats which was a little bit uncomfortable.
So love a restaurant with mostly bagels and the best smoked salmon and whitefish salad!!
