Very overpriced for the quality. I ordered the chicken and it was very dry. My mom ordered the pork chop special and it was mostly fat.
30th wedding anniversary
Fantastic meal, fantastic service, fantastic evening. Cannot wait to come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and food tonight and would highly recommend to others.
The quality was excellent!!
Frankly we were pretty disappointed with the service. The restaurant is lovely and the food is great but our server didn't understand English very well and the fact that there was a communication challenge at a place with the highest prices in town was pretty unsatisfactory.
Great food and outstanding server. The quiet ambiance was more pleasant than any other Sonoma restaurant.
The $89 coupon was a great value however, it was extremely noisey; we were next to a table of 6 with two very big loud men. I know this is a sensitive issue for restaurants; there were no other tables so we could not change; we had a great deal of trouble conversing with each other. The waiter was terrific, fun, helpful, knowledgable.
Sorry they changed the onion rings; they had some odd sauce in a small bowl with a spoon I guess to pour over; I like the other version, with nice thick blue cheese dressing on the bottom and onions on top. Look forward to their make-over.
Food was delicious and service was very good.
It is a little on the noisy side tho.
Ambiance in the veranda was quieter than other rooms, as requested. Service was excellent, professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive. Prices were admittedly on the high side but certainly justified by the food. Definitely a place I’ll visit again.
We go up to Sonoma once or twice a year and stay at MacArthur place and dine at the steakhouse which has always been great. Not so good this time The Calamari Shrimp appetizer was yummy as well as their Mac n cheese i ordered the Filet Med rare but it was cooked well done Then reordered and it was very Rare and not tender My husband ordered a filet as well but it was on the very small side and not tender. Our daughter had the Rib eye which was very good as I ate half of that. It was disappointing to say the least but I understand that they just changed ownership about a month ago.
If you are looking for steak be sure to give this place a try. Lots of choices and service was excellent.
We've been coming to Saddles for years and never disappointed.
terrible vegey burger
bad roast beef sandwich
very good calamari
Great food would go again
Nothing Special: We celebrated friend's birthdays Saturday night. The staff was gracious and make the occasion special. However the food was disappointing. The artichoke was undercooked. My husbands prime rib was not tender. The mussels I ordered where large but had an odd taste. I left most of them on the plate. Next time we want a steak or prime rib we will go to Starks.
Saddles seems to be underrated. Very good food and wonderful service.
The bar area ambiance could be improved with some redecorating.
Our dining experience was not as good as we have experienced in the past. Maybe this is due to the transition in ownership. We were seated in a dining area open to the bar instead of in the separate dining room where we have dined in the past. And of course there was a very loud blowhard yacking away for all to hear. Delicious chicken pate but horrible creamed spinach. One rib eye was great, the other was not. Service started out good and then declined. Will wait a few months to see if things improve before trying it again.
The food was delicious. The food and beverage menus were thoughtfully prepared. The ambiance was okay as we were seated in the back overflow room that is a three-season room with enough gas heaters to put a rocket into orbit. But the real treat was the service. The entire staff was knowledgeable, extremely kind and attentive and made us feel welcome. They were the real stars of the show. Job well done!
I always order the bunless Kobe beef burger with sauteed mushrooms and Brie and a nice salad on the side. I eat half and take the rest home to my husband who loves it. There are lots of other good choices but I keep going back to this one
Very nice dinner in Sonoma. Hard to find a steakhouse here so we were happy with our find!
Service was excellent. Food quality and taste were good. The only negative was food temperature: foods that should have been hot were only lukewarm.
The restaurant had adequate parking, was accessible to persons with disabilities, was quiet and a good atmosphere for conversation, the service good and the food tasty.
The restaurant had been recommended to us by a really fine winery stating that it was the perfect steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary. What a disaster. The service was bad. The food was just plain awful. Cold mash potatoes. Creamed spinach was literally spinach with milk poured over it. Steaks were horrific - not quality cuts (based on a $40+ price point)...and the ambiance felt like an old country club setting. Suffice to say, the best part of the meal was the wine...that we brought. Thoroughly a disappointing evening.
Delicious an unique. Our server was fantastic an pleasant. It was a very romantic setting. We went for the Valentine's set menu as we do every year, it was delicious, unique, beautifully plated. It's fancy but not to snobby. My only complaint which is mild an doesn't reflect the place as a whole is the parking. It's always jam packed and fills up fast. To asswholes with massive trucks parked in the compact spaces on each side of me that I couldn't even get into my vehicle until one of them left.
This was a valentines special menu meal, we both had the steak option requesting med rare, one was cooked properly the other way overcooked. Service was very slow and unattentive. We have had way better food at many other places. Too bad since it is local. Will not be back soon, if ever.
Ordered a burger for lunch. Bun was dry and unremarkable. Meat lacked salt. Steak fries were inconsistently cooked. But beautiful room and garden.
Second time visiting and enjoyed as much as the first time. My filet was cooked a perfect Medium Rare and shrimp were tasty.
Great food. Wonderful steakhouse!
We have been before and will be back again. On this occasion, we made reservations in honor of my daughter's birthday. I even made note of it when I made the reservation.
We started with a cocktail in the bar, which I always try to do. They make mine wonderfully. Then we moved into the restaurant. They honored my daughter in a very low key way, which I am certain she appreciated. Dinner was fabulous and dessert was scrumptious.
Thank you for a wonderful evening! We will see you again soon.
Very good food including a very spa like halibut. Quiet on the porch area. Table cloths!
Birthday for daughter. Intended to be big celebration. Restaurant was 3/4 full, but noisy bar crowd and terrible acoustics meant we had to practically shout to hear each other. The food was good, but the waitress was kind of combative or surely, so slow to take orders, then after food was served, she disappeared till about ten minutes after we had all finished. I had to wave to get her attention, which became annoying to us both. Then I ask her to bring us dessert menus and she says she’s bring the birthday girls dessert first - leaving the rest of us waiting to order and get our dessert - while my daughter is sitting there waiting, while her dessert melted into a puddle. I think the noise and waitress would prevent me from making reservations here again, but the food and restaurant were otherwise very nice.
Excellent wait staff.
what a nice and pleasant surprise! the food was great, the restaurant was great, the service was fantastic and we really enjoyed the whole meal and ambiance. Will definitely go back again and tell others! Well done!
Meat is the name of the game. Good Americana steak dinner but I would not call it gourmet. Parking can be a problem in the lot. But they do have street parking. The service was first classs.
Saddles is a staple in Sonoma for an upscale steak house, and is usually spot on. On this occasion, the Caesar salad seemed to have been left in refrigerator too long and was inedible. The short ribs were very tasty as was my wife's salted potato, but the New York steak was nothing special-a surpise from this type of restaurant. The wait staff was efficient but limited on menu knowledge. Overall, a bit disappointed with this experience. For the price point, Saddles fell short of expectations. Would not go out of my way to visit again.
Food was great! Service was fast, friendly and professional! Very clean!
Excellent food, great wine selection, delicious cocktails, world-class service, in elegantly casual surroundings. Highly recommend!
Saddles has been our special occasion restaurant since it opened. We received great service from Sandy, and the food was delicious. Disappointed in the prime rib though - Always a favorite of our family, but way too much fat this time and without the brown, crunchy crust as before. Hoping Saddles remains Saddles with the new owners - The favorite restaurant in town for many of us locals!
Casual but yet if you want to dress up you can. The wait staff was prompt and the food good. We went for the steaks.
One of the best steaks in Sonoma County! The service was outstanding. We informed the staff ahead of time it was our mother's 62nd birthday and they brought her cake and a card. The food was wonderful, the cocktails were also quite tasty. My brother had never experienced fine dining before, this was his first "fancy" restaraunt , he was for the first time in his life SPEECHLESS. He enjoyed every bite of his Filet Minon. We will absolutely be returning. We had a wonderful night. Thank you.
