Saddleridge is a regular once a year stop for our family in Beaver Creek during spring break. Won’t miss it!
We were sorely disappointed with our experience at SaddleRidge. I sent my steak back twice - I had requested “medium”, but my steak was still rare after two returns to the kitchen. I still couldn’t eat it. The manager removed charges for my steak and then reduced our bill by an additional 25%. However, the bill we received was for another table. We had to wait for the manager to track down our bill. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Service as always excellent but the paired down menu is not as adventurous as in previous seasons.
The manager was very friendly, the food was pretty good and the service very accommodating. However, the best was Matt who is the awesome guitar player. The repertoire was fantastic! I would go again just for that!
High end cowboy food with a live-cowboy guitarist. Perfect for a dinner after Colorado skiing.
Great place! Food was fantastic! Service was a little slow, but it was ok because it was such a great place to spend time.
This place is a diamond in the rough. An experience to get to from the ski slope and once you arrive you get the red carpet treatment. The cool part is being picked up by a snowmobile with front door delivery.
Meh. Expensive but not very inspiring. Food was just okay.
Don't waste your money. The food was terrible. The $60 steak was thin and not as advertised. The lamb did not even resemble a lamb dish. The best thing on the menu was the duck wings.
Food was amazing, service was tough, waiter took long time to get to table and was more interested and engaging at other tables- seemed almost annoyed by us. Hostess doubled as waitstaff broke the cork in our wine-but they replaced with new bottle. Wine suggestion by GM was spot on. The music is otherworldly, you’re basically being serenaded by Johnny Cash- what a voice, absolutely made it one of our most romantic, memorable dinners.

Early dining after a day of skiing so it was fairly quiet.
The architecture and art alone make it worth a trip to Saddle Ridge, but add that to the great food quality with interesting seasonal fresh food, great service and live entertainment by Singer songwriter Leon Joseph Littlebird make this a place we always consider for out of town guests, birthdays and anniversary.
We love dining at Saddle Ridge - a very rustic and authentic log building - amazing views, delicious menu and a wonderful dessert menu. The wine list is very diverse and some great finds. Todd, our waiter was friendly and so professional. Worth the ride!
A hidden gem in Beaver Creek. Hard to find and get to, but worth the effort.
Museum quality artifacts, loving husband, yummy food, and Leon Littlebird playing live. Priceless night.

Great service with fabulous local meat and produce combined perfectly. The lodge was very beautiful with great artifacts.
We booked SaddleRidge as our night out for couples on a family ski trip. The live music was fantastic and the environment was great. Our hostess ended up serving our table better than our waitress though. The portions of food were small and because of that we felt it was overpriced. The food was excellent we just would have liked to eat more. We had a fun evening and would probably give it another try.
A great place to experience some local authentic food, in a picturesque setting, with a great attentive service.

Christmas Eve Bummer.
The night began poorly. The lack of parking is a real drag if you have any desire to drive your family to the restaurant. I dropped my family off at the front and proceeded to park at the St James as directed. I then waited 25 minutes for a shuttle to pick me up (20 degree weather didn’t help) after I had called for one. I ended getting a ride from a nice bus driver on another route.
While I was trying to simply get to Saddle Ridge the waitress was extremely pushy with my wife about having her order for me as she said she had to turn the table over at 7:30. We were a family of 5 with kids who were never going to be pushing for a three hour dinner.
The instant I sat down the waitress came over to take our order. I told her I had just been freezing trying to get inside and I hadn’t even looked at the menu. She once again pushed that she was going to have to turn the table over.
She left in a huff and returned later for our order. The food was decent but nothing special. Certainly tough to justify a $350 dinner.
The space is classic western and they do have same great pictures and artifacts. I was really hopeful for a great Christmas Eve dinner experience.
It definitely fell short of expectations.

Wonderful experience. We really enjoyed the live music. The space is beautiful but not stuffy like many other options in Beaver Creek.

Menu was different from online. Very limited was not great choices for children. Service was friendly but wasn’t skilled on menu. With many great choices At beaver creek this is a place to pass on.
We go to Saddleridge about once every 2 weeks. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the whole Vail Valley! The service is incredible, Nikki anticipates your every need and makes you feel like you are the most important people in the whole place. For perfect cocktails just ask Kevin for whatever you can think of and it will be perfect. The food is phenomenal! I can't say enough about the atmosphere if you have any interest in western artifacts this is a must see. Entertainment is also 1st rate. Do yourselves a favor and try this treasure. Nikki and Kevin will ensure that your experience is perfect.
Most importantly-- great food. I had probably one of the best pork chops ever. And I don't rave about pork chops, trust me. The veggies are fresh and wonderfully presented. Service started out a bit indifferent with my having to ask the host to have a server come over. One we got going with our server and warmed things up a bit-- it worked out well.
Chairs need to be replaced /kinda rickety? Fine that the restaurant has wooden tables but it should not be the case that you are seemingly at a bar. Polish the tables or do something to make them more special-- esp. when one is paying $50 plus for an entree, etc.
Recommend the Ravenwood single-vineyard Zins as a good price-performing wine to go with the food.
Really enjoyed the guitar player/singer who I think is there Wed-Fri / a certain "authentic-ness" to the experience.
The meal and the service were excellent. The staff was very attentive and the food presentation and taste was the best I have encountered in some time.
The chicken with sage, ham, and farro was phenomenal!! Great ambiance too :)
A $2.00 "up charge" for adding ice to a drink is strange to me.
Sadleridge is a regular destination for us that come every year. The food was good and the ambience and Leon Lottlebird was assine. Great guitar playing adding much to the night. Worth the detour for the guitar alone.
Saddleridge is filled with interesting western artifacts and history. Ask for Steve to give you the lowdown on the building history with Lehman Brothers etc. My older parents took the beaver creek shuttle up to the restaurant. There are lots of steps up but there is an elevator around the side of the building for someone that needs that. Then also an indoor elevator.
I skied to the restaurant off of gold dust on the cat walk behind the buildings following the signs to Saddleridge. The cat walk was not downhill so I would not suggest that route for snowboarders. At the end of lunch there is a sled pulled by a large commercial snowbmobile that will take you back up to the hay meadow area where you can ski down to the centennial lift. There is a fair amount of walking however from where the sled drops you off to get to a downhill area but was still fun to do. Food was delicious. Only negative would be they do not offer any bread basket or bread on the table before or with the meal for you bread lovers or someone arriving very hungry. For $8 you can get 2 pieces of toasted cornbread. The squash soup was outstanding. Overall all the food we ordered was delicious.
The restaurant is beautiful, The food excellent but menu extremely limited. We could only get a reservation for 6 or 8:45pm. We took the 6, very disappointed to see after that when arrived there was only one more table taken?!? When we left around 7:30 only maybe a quarter of restaurant was busy?!? Upset that we have to rush after skiing to eat almost in an empty restaurant. Our waitress was very efficient but hostess had no clue where to find artifacts in restaurant?!?
We went to Saddleridge for Valentines Day having been there many times before. What a disappointment! Five entrees on the menu, one was an 18 oz. pork chop, a pasta, a fish, two steak preparations, three salads and an extremely limited appetizer selection. Nothing like the menu shown on Open Table and nothing like we have seen in the past. Food was good, service was prompt but nothing special. When we received our bill there was a "rocks charge" added to the cost of our drinks. They charge for ice? The cost of the drinks is consistent with other high end restaurants and the food items are not inexpensive. Do they really need to charge for ice? This is a "company store" owned by Vail Resorts and advertised as a top flight restaurant. I remember the days when Saddleridge was worthy of that classification but understand now why we were able to get reservations on Valentines Day so easily and there were so many empty seats. It will be a long time before we think of returning. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Not great food. Nice ambience, but we should have known to leave when we were the only ones there at 6pm.

Second year we have taken a break from skiing to have a family lunch at SaddleRidge. We all love the service, ambience and decor. Food is great and kids menu is great.
We loved our meal at SaddleRidge. The atmosphere is perfect for a mountain fine dining experience and found the history interesting. However, service was poor and very slow. If an establishment is going to bill itself as a fine dining restaurant, then it should present the entire package which includes good & friendly service that pays attention to customers. I fully anticipate exceptional service when spending good money.
