Service was slow and just not what I have come to expect for dining at that price point. Food was good, not great, and menu selections were surprisingly not very robust. I expected there to be of the menu selections. I would not come back because what would I order, I tried the two entrees that interested me already.
Staff were very accommodating to our requests, and very helpful in their descriptions of some of their specialty game selections ( elk, bison). The ambiance is fantastic: an open lodge framed in massive wood structures. Don’t miss the Native American artifacts and historic photographs.
The restaurant is beautiful. The staff is great. The food was Applebee’s quality at best. The candied bacon appetizer was horrible. It is basically bacon rolled in sugar and thrown on a plate. The kale caesar salad was okay, but nothing to write home about. Both of my boys ordered the steak with mash potatoes and veggies off of the kids menu. The veggies were 100% from a bag of FROZEN carrots and peas that you microwave. The mash potatoes must have come from an instant box kit because I have never tasted something so horrible. My wife had the mussels that were palatable but weird. The sauce just did not belong with the mussels. I ordered the bone in ribeye that was delicious.
We had not been to Saddleridge for a number of years and decided to try it again. Unfortunately this experience was no better than our prior one. The food was mediocre. Time for a new approach.
Very nice ambience. Delicious lunch!
Great lunch! Food was amazing. We skiied through arch at top of Haymeadow lift and were quickly met by the cat that took us down to the restaurant. What an amazing interior and full of interesting antiques. Be sure to get a printout detailing the decor. The bison chili was one of the best we ever had. The service wasn’t very experienced, but friendly. We also had a dinner reservation for another night, but we canceled it after finding that it was just too difficult to access from where we were staying at the Westin. If you are staying in the village it is easier by ordering village transportation to/from restaurant. Overall definitely the best meal we had while in BC.
SaddleRidge was an awesome experience overall. The food, atmosphere, and service was all excellent. The prices were also much lower than one would expect for an experience as unique as this one. As a couple, we spent more on lunch at restaurants in the beaver creek village than we did at SaddleRidge. The only downside to our lunch date was the presence of a couple of larger groups including some ski school groups. The shuttle from the bunny hill to SaddleRidge was slightly painful due to the large groups. With the holiday weekend it was definitely expected and it was in no way the staff’s fault. However, the experience would have been nicer with less noise/kids.
The service and food are excellent. It appears to be a hassle to get to but it's absolutely not. Ski to the base off the bunny slope. Climb on a skidoo's sled for a fun quick rid both in and out. I will be back.
Saddleridge is a hidden gem in Beaver Creek. If you are western history buff, not only can you enjoy a fabulous meal, but you get to do so while you’re surrounded by museum quality western artifacts and Indian blankets and tribal clothing.
Beautiful room and delicious meal. The Trout is a favorite.
Beautiful restaurant. Classics Colorado log structure. Stunning dining room. Food was terrific. Best spot we have ever found in the state.
The setting is amazing. The staff was very friendly and competent. The food especially for the price was a disappointment. I would recommend going for a drink at the bar and to look around and go somewhere else to eat. It has the potential to be an amazing experience but fell really flat.
The Food was amazing here. If you go to Beaver Creek and you don't eat here you are missing out. My family and I ate by the fireplace. They had prime rib that they said was delicious....my husband said it was the best he ever had. I had the chicken...….it was delicious....it had something on top of chicken that was delicious. When I go back to Beaver Creek I will go here again!!!
Very good food and great ambiance. Rustic dining room with Western artifacts was great. The mussels and the chili were outstanding. Service was a bit slow. Good value.
Very cool place with history and charm. Will for sure return
Great staff and food at the base of the Beaver Creek bunny slope. It is ski in and ski doo out. They take you right back to the mountain! Great soup and salad bar for a great quick lunch. Try it.
We’ve been going to saddle Ridge for 20 years. Things have backed off a bit. We used to look forward to a wide selection of game and fish. The menu is less exotic and less interesting than previously. The menu was rather swim with fewer choices than we wanted. The food was OK. Portions kind of small. Bread service too slow. Good wine list. They need to reach back and get creative again on the menu side of things.
The second time we dined at Saddle Ridge we were quite disappointed. The service was very courteous and the location is a neat experience. Unfortunately the food was sub-par. The bacon was cooked unevenly. The trout was over salted to the point of being inedible. The buffalo prime rib was very over cooked. Such a shame as we so enjoyed our meal last year. I don’t think we will return on future trips
We love love love saddleridge and go every year! Thank you for another stellar dinner. Guitar guy was amazing! Love him! Great wine! Will 100% be back next time in town ! Love love love
The food was fine. The service was ok. It was so loud that we couldn’t have a comfortable conversation.
Our family enjoyed New Years Eve at SaddleRidge and we had an outstanding evening. The service, food and ambiance was exceptional. I would highly recommend, and we plan to return in the future!
UN LUGAR CON UNA DECORACION INCREIBLE MUY DEL OESTE, EL SERVICIO BUENO Y LA CALIDAD DE LOA ALIMENTOS EXCELENTE
We came with our children. We were 10 min late, but they had already broken down our table. We had to wait for them to set it up. Then the food took a really long time to come. Kids tomato soup was very spicy! (Why would you serve a spicy kids menu item? And not even mark it as such. When we told the waiter, he said - oh ok.) Meat was so so. Overall ok experience based on the awesome room and the musician who was playing beautiful music with Native American music. Would not return and would not recommend. Way over rated.
Very good food. Unbelievably slow services - I think they only had three wait staff for the whole restaurant high season. Also the parking situation is terrible- you have to park at the Josh Hotel or Club or whatever it is and take a shuttle as they have no parking there! They should run a valet or let people park in their large driveway- and they don’t tell you that until you get there and have to park- leading you to drop your party and having one person have to go to the hotel and wait for the shuttle. They also literally had the worst live music one man singer I have ever heard. He was extraordinarily depressing and mediocre. I would not return- though the building is very interesting.
We had a party of 7 people and our expectations were not satisfied.
The service was awful and the food wasn’t good.
That’s the place we don’t want to come back.
My wife and I dined there on Christmas and left fed but unimpressed. The large timber structure is interesting but it felt to us like we were dining in a large fancy barn. The food was not bad but also not exceptional. Service was pretty average.
Went for Christmas dinner and it was divine! Love this space and the food was delicious. The som was very knowledgeable about the wine list and able to make great recommendations. Our server was attentive and friendly, able to accommodate a picky teenager. The only negative I have to add is that with the live music and the open space it was VERY LOUD. While I loved the fact they had live music, I was at a round table for 6 and pretty much limited to talking to the people right next to me. Definitely would return, loved the lamb and the candied bacon!! Can’t wait to have again!
Saddle Ridge has been a family favorite for several years during our annual ski vacation! Wonderful food, people, ambiance and music!
Karen was absolutely wonderful. Thank you Karen, we will be back.
Saddleridge is a regular once a year stop for our family in Beaver Creek during spring break. Won’t miss it!
We were sorely disappointed with our experience at SaddleRidge. I sent my steak back twice - I had requested “medium”, but my steak was still rare after two returns to the kitchen. I still couldn’t eat it. The manager removed charges for my steak and then reduced our bill by an additional 25%. However, the bill we received was for another table. We had to wait for the manager to track down our bill. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Service as always excellent but the paired down menu is not as adventurous as in previous seasons.
The manager was very friendly, the food was pretty good and the service very accommodating. However, the best was Matt who is the awesome guitar player. The repertoire was fantastic! I would go again just for that!
High end cowboy food with a live-cowboy guitarist. Perfect for a dinner after Colorado skiing.
Great place! Food was fantastic! Service was a little slow, but it was ok because it was such a great place to spend time.
This place is a diamond in the rough. An experience to get to from the ski slope and once you arrive you get the red carpet treatment. The cool part is being picked up by a snowmobile with front door delivery.
Meh. Expensive but not very inspiring. Food was just okay.
Don't waste your money. The food was terrible. The $60 steak was thin and not as advertised. The lamb did not even resemble a lamb dish. The best thing on the menu was the duck wings.
Food was amazing, service was tough, waiter took long time to get to table and was more interested and engaging at other tables- seemed almost annoyed by us. Hostess doubled as waitstaff broke the cork in our wine-but they replaced with new bottle. Wine suggestion by GM was spot on. The music is otherworldly, you’re basically being serenaded by Johnny Cash- what a voice, absolutely made it one of our most romantic, memorable dinners.
