Saddle Ranch Chop House - Orange Ratings and Reviews
Great experience. The wife and I were finally able to get out without the kids for a date night. Our server was amazing, after finding out it was a long overdue date night, she made it extra special and brought a rose, had the the sheds write simple “I love you”s and hearts on the dishes. She even brought us a complimentary dessert.
It was out first time there.. I loved the drinks.. and even though i had asked for a specific drink.. once I had it .. I didn’t like it and hey were able to change it.. the only thing ya I didn’t like was.. as I told my server that it was our first time.. it seamed he didn’t care... didn’t give us any feed back on what to order and as we kept ordering extra sides .. it fries for our kids... it seamed he was too eager to go/ do something else.. it took another server for him to come down and exchange the drinks..
We loved he BBQ RIBS... I know we might have come in a bad night .. feb 14.. they might have been some what buddy.. but I think all paying customers deserve a waiter that will help out if it’s the first time.. and suggest new/good things even if it’s not out first time ..
The experience was great overall; however, we had a reservation and instead of getting seated right away, we had to stand and wait for 20 minutes. Once our table was ready and they took us to our table, it still hadn’t been cleaned and they took us back to the front. The whole point of having a reservation is so you don’t have to wait. Besides that, our server was good, the food was great, and we loved the music!
We have tried this chain a number of times now. I can say this.. the food, is really good. The theme is cool and reminds me of being back in Texas. The one thing that keeps happening (3 personal visits and 1 friends visit) the service is horrible. Not just the wait staff, our waiter wasn't bad, however, the steak was prepared wrong, we waited probably 15 minutes for 2nd beer, long wait for refills and actually pretty long wait for food considering they were less than 25% capacity.
To their credit though, any complaint we have made to them the management does a good job of "fixing" it (we were there this time due to a giftcard we got when they overcharged our Son's Credit Card). So the management is good at reacting.
Everything was wonderful!! We really enjoyed our dinner and our server Tony was great!! The music was a little loud but, we will definitely come back for more delicious food and of course the Cotten Candy!! It’s a great restaurant to go to with family and friends for any special occasion!! Thank you again
A Family member told me about Saddle Ranch Chop House so I wanted to give it a try. It was a great looking place. VERY NOISY !! But great if you have noisy children too. I ordered the Filet Mignon "medium well" (slight pink inside) and it came WELL DONE ! Definitely overcooked ! So were the "seasonal vegetables !! We had a LARGE table for 7 people which was really nice NOT to have to squeeze 7 into a table for four !!! The menu says under STEAKS that the meal comes with "A basket of Buttermilk Biscuits and fresh Jalapeno Corn Bread muffins" and we didn't get any of that. We did get the Cotton Candy Tower and that was fun to have. I was a little disappointed as I mentioned before but the service was really nice and fast and I would probably give it one more try to see if things go different next time.
I had my daughters 16th birthday dinner here. We reserved a table for 11 teenagers. Our reservation was for 5pm and everyone in our party arrived by 5pm so the hostess said she could seat us. She disappeared for a while so I asked another hostess if the table was ready she said she would check and then she disappeared for 5 mins and cake back with no answers. Not sure what was going on and they mentioned they were in the middle of a shift change. Our party of 11 was finally seated at a table at 5:15 so that was a little frustrating that it took so long. I asked for a separate parents table for 6 and that took another 10 minutes for them to figure out meanwhile parties of 4 were walking in after us and sat immediately. After we all finally got seated however, the service was great! I wish I would’ve gotten our waitresses name. She was awesome! She took care of our 11 teenagers, our parent table of 6 and other tables as well. She was very polite and attentive. Food and drinks all came out timely and tasted great. My daughter was excited about getting two free birthday cotton candy’s for her and her friends. Overall it was a good experience.
The good stuff: food is pretty good and servers are friendly.
The bad stuff: I love music, but this place is so damn loud it’s near impossible to have a conversation. It took me over 20 minutes to get a bar drink, and while I received my sandwich without tomatoes like I asked, it still had tomato seeds and jelly (not good when you have an allergy like I do).
Overall this place is okay but not my first pick for good eats in central OC.
We were Celebrating our 22nd Anniversary Saturday with Brunch and we had an Amazing Waiter named Tony.. He was extremely attentive to all our needs.. He kept our Mimosas coming and Brought our food out timely and it was Delicious. This restaurant is always our go to for most of our celebrations, Birthday's, Mother's and Fathers day Brunches with our kids and grandkids.. Tony made our day great and we will definitely return he is a great asset to this Saddle Ranch...👍👍👍👍👍
The service was terrible. Took 40 min for the waiter to introduce himself and take drink orders. Ordered bottomless mimosas and only got to have 1 mimosa in an hour due to the horrible service. Complained 4 times about the service and got nothing in return. Our lunch took over 3.5hours due to the lousy service. Overall, my experience was absolutely aweful.
Service from start to finish was horrible. Had a reservation and still had to wait 20 mins. Hostess never came to get us. Bartender was rude. “Forgot” to give us our change. Table Server kept forgetting our stuff. Biscuits came out with dinner. When we asked for the yummy jalapeño muffins they said there was no one available to make them. And When we asked for more biscuits they said they ran out. The place wasn’t not even crowded. Horrible experience!
Made a Reservation and stated it was our Anniversary. During our visit no one asked us if we had a special occasion or anything. Hostess and greeting was on par with a Funeral home, dont young people have any personality or do they all hate their jobs and want to die? not too sure. The Service was Ok, was a pretty slow night but our Waitress took forever with drinks, etc and seemed disconnected. One good thing is the mixed drinks come in a Carafe which was a good deal. 3 drinks for the price of 1-1/2 somewhere else, Great for a date night. The steaks were good which is the only reason this is not a 1-star review. We both got Ribeyes, For $30 it was a good quality steak, Came out hot and tasted very good. I ordered Medium and My wife ordered Med Rare and it is quite possible they switched our steaks as our sides were different but both steaks were wrong, minor issue.
My main issue besides the Marginal service is the place was DIRTY. between crap on the floors, the bathrooms etc, this place just did not look like the kinda of place that I envisioned. Also, would someone tell these owners that it is 2018 and not 1988 and a barely modernized , old west " Claim Jumper " ripoff is a little long in the tooth. The Theme was a bit muddled and seemed very " half assed" many old west stereo types that really didn't go together and looked like a Amateurish attempt. The Apps were really disappointing, nothing light or modern just same old heavy starches way over priced.
Overall, besides the good steaks, Not much different than the local Applebee's across the street besides being twice as much $$$.
Normally we do not have bad services. I had a party of 6 but we ended up with 5. When I checked in I asked to set at a table instead of a booth. They said outside would be better and they have heaters. “Ok”, so we thought, it took 30 min to get our drink orders, heater was “busted” and even though we had our reservation @545, we didn’t get our food until 715. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills and that even took awhile. Good place normally, just not tonight.
The only thing good about our night was our waiter! We made a reservation at 6:30 we showed up at 6:20 and the lady at the front was rude and told us we can't check in till 6:30 to go walk around the mall. Then it took till 8pm to get our food and we ordered right away. The place was not super busy for the food to take that long. Then when the food finally came out it was barely warm and very little flavor. Huge disappointment especially since the prices are not cheap at all. The waiter Sam was awesome he felt so bad he kept bringing out extra stuff and apologizing. The cotton candy is very Delicious tho!!
I hadn't been to the Orange location for a while and went for brunch with friends. When I saw the menu items, I decided to order their house pizza which was Chicken Arrabiata and I had the endless mimosas. The mimosas came out served in plastic champagne glasses that have seen better days. When my pizza arrived, it looked like it had been sitting around and was room temperature. Very disappointing! My husband ordered the tri tip and said it was not good. Sorry, we will not be coming back!
Waited 45 minutes after reservation to be seated service was slow portions seemed smaller then advertised on menu drink were replace by water instead of drinks ordered in beginning of meal didn’t receive the service we had received there before brought a family of 9 on our recommendation but family ended up leaving not impressed and disappointed with outcome
I will NEVER return to this restaurant again. The service was absolutely terrible. We went tonight to celebrate my Uncle's 59th birthday because that was where he wanted to go. We arrived at 5:50 and were sat at 6:00. There were 6 of us. Not a single person came to our table and we waited until 6:30 and by that time we were about to leave but instead I asked a server if someone would be taking care of us because I knew that's where my Uncle wanted to eat as he picked the place. I told the server we had been waiting for 30 minutes and no one had taken care of us. He said he would let someone know. 5 minutes later our server came up to the table, acting as if we hadn't been waiting for 35 minutes, and asked what we wanted to drink. He came back almost 10 minutes later with our drinks. During this time I asked to speak with the manager. It took asking three different servers and 15 minutes for the manager to arrive. I explained this to the manager and he was SO rude acting as if he didn’t even care. Our food came out shortly after and the manager brought the wings out at the same time. Mind you, our server never once returned to the table from the time we placed our order until about 10 minutes after receiving our food (three other servers delivered our food to the table). We waited countless times for refills, we had to ask other servers for ketchup/ranch/honey mustard, etc. To top it off my Uncle's ribs were cold and so were the Chicken Strips. We received the bill and the total was $124.27. The manager did absolutely nothing. He did not feel bad for the horrible service we received. He didn't even come back to check on us even though he walked past our table a good 6 times after. My Uncle’s 59th Birthday dinner was ruined by Saddle Ranch Orange. We will never return.
1. We were on time for our reservation, but had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Not unreasonable except that there were numerous empty tables throughout the restaurant.
2. Once we were seated, the server took our drink order. Then we waited...waited...waited then after what seemed like 30 minutes, we engaged the manager whom took our order again. Then we finally were served.
3. Food order was served promptly but was average, not really worth the price.
4. Country Western themed venue, which we enjoyed, but did not care for the Rap Music being played.
We were seated outside, not many outside so it seemed private and lovely for our gathering. Music from speakers were really loud, waitress said she couldn’t turn down volume, hard to hear our guests at our own table.
Several issues with food ordered. My order wasn’t made so a replacement was provided. Another’s meat was overcooked. Another’s side dishes were incorrect. Waitress brought out complementary cotton candy and s’mores kit as apology, never saw manager.
