Saddle Ranch Chop House - Orange
The service was so very poor which was a shame because the food was not bad.
We came in for the first time to try the brunch. We were VERY disappointed. Initially. We paid $15.99 each for the bottomless mimosas and waited upwards of 20 minutes between each glass. Not cool. Heck we practically bought an entire bottle with what we paid. We were ready to leave and would have left a lousy review. That is until the manager Karen came over and asked us how our brunch was. Well we let her have it and she agreed that was unacceptable. Not only did she take both of our bottomless mimosas off the bill, she brought us our own bottle of champagne and OJ. She saved our experience here for sure.
Food was cold, service was disappointing and wasn't even packed. My friend is vegetarian and was given a vegetarian burger with bacon... really!
The food was great, a little overpriced but not a big deal. The service was outstanding with the exception of when we arrived. We were told we would have to wait until our reservation time of 7pm but with 10 minutes left, the manager walked over to the hostess and informed her, "If they're here, seat them!" I wish he would've said that 20 minutes beforehand because it happened to be really cold and windy that night and there's no front door to the restaurant so the breeze just came flying right in.
Besides that, everything was great.
Restaurant was out of some sides. My steak was medium well when it was ordered medium rare. My wife's steak wAs rare to medium rare, when ordered medium. Service was good for Christmas. Will give them a second try because it was Christmas.
Granted i know we went on Christmas Day. But we arrived early and had to wait until our reservation time to be seated. Our waiter was awesome, but they ran out of Baked Potatoes and didnt know what a butterflied steak was. We were given the bill prior to be asked about dessert, which we ordered and were told they were out of our choice. We chose a half baked cookie which took about 25 mins to get. And they had to go look for steaksauce at a steakhouse? Okay???? The price was great for a party of 6.
I used to come here all the time, but has gone down hill this year. I will find a new place for 2019.
Service was super slow, appetizers took forever and nachos were mostly burnt. First attempt to bring out our main entrees was a cluster “fluke”, wrong plates, different waiters taking plates back to their table, total confusion!! Rounded all plates back to the kitchen for a second attempt. Food was nothing special. Our waiter Corey tried his best. Not coming back for sure.
I enjoyed my time at Saddle Ranch. The service was great. The steak was fantastic. Up until they started karaoke. That is when my evening went sour. I could not finish my dinner. I ended up putting it into a To go container. You CAN NOT enjoy a nice dinner and have people screaming into microphones thinking they can sing because they are drunk when they can not even carry a tune and did not even sing in English. Needless to say you can not enjoy a nice dinner in that kind of unnecessary unconsidered loud screeching. So I will not ever go back to the Saddle Ranch again.
Excellent service, great food and a perfect setting for a group to gather
Exceedingly loud volume from tv, i get that i was there on a football sunday, but there was no need for them to blast the audio from the game, i dont need to hear the announcers proclaim loudly that a team has scored a touchdown when i can see that on one of their 20+ televisions, and when the game was over, i thought the volume would subside, but it didnt, instead of hearing a football game, i now heard exceedingly loud music, it was extremely difficult to converse with anyone at my table, this is not a place to go if you want to talk to people you are with, service was not great either, after taking our appetizer order, waittress walked away without taking our drink order, server brought our food and walked away before verifying that we had silverware, the food was good and a good value though
Food was excellent... great place for birthday celebration.. only thing was they need to play Country Music!
Alyssa was Wonderful! As usual.
We always feel comfortable and welcomed at Saddleranch.
We leave VERY satisfied.
Amazing!! I loved it sooo much!! Every weekend Dates!
It was loud it was cool watching people fly off the bull .the food was not good
Came for Thanksgiving. I had seen the one at Universal Studios that closed down this year but never went in. Not really into the Western vibe but Alyssa the server was very sweet and attentive, one in the party had the Thanksgiving prim fixe, one had salmon with the giant baked potato, one had the brunch all day. and I had the Classic steak with sautéed spinach and a loaded baked potato. The food was DELICIOUS! The sautéed spinach was perfectly prepared with sautéed onions and the flavor was off the chain. The steak was a little more done than I prefer but the portion was good and the flavor was delicious. BUT THE LOADED POTATO! it was giant and filled with butter, sour cream, and chunks of bacon. It was so fluffy and delicious. I could not finish half of the meal but the shell of the potato was perfect to bake with some cheese at home in the oven. I don’t eat wheat but everyone at the table loved the biscuits and jalapeño cornbread. I don’t care for the decor due to my own preference but the service and food were delicious and everyone at the table left happy and satisfied.
Had a reservation for my birthday and we were seated as soon as i arrived. The food here is always good and the drinks are also good. A bit pricey, but it’s worth it. Service is great as well IMO. I’ve been here multiple times and have always had good experiences
Took my daughter for her birthday and we loved it!
Horrible service and very dry ribs! First time here and will never go back!
Poor customer service...we wanted to seat inside not outside but we were told we couldn't seat inside because there was not enough server's.
server was too slow. Had to go to the bar for alcohol and even there the bartender was too busy and took a while to serve our shots.. Shots she served were not full shots, eventhough we asked her and told her they were not full shots. She said they were actually bigger shots than the ones served on shot glasses. WE actually measured them and they barely made it to half the shot glass and expensive $11+ a shot rip off. we couldn't get water refills because the server had a bigger party than us so she left us. to get the check was another nightmare . not worth it $335+ we spent. beer was hot. we wanter extra drinks. unable to get them. very unlikely to come back
Better service please, we waited long even with a reservation, their excuse was not enough servers.
My reservation was not in their system. They had me wait 15 minutes because a few others of my party were not present, even though I was ready to consume.
Marissa was Wonderful. 😎👍
Great Happy Hour!
Mound of Nachcos with BBQ Chicken are AMAZING! (Per Marissa suggestion)
We were there for over 2 hours and it was all waiting on food and service. Took 20 min to get water and the waiter forgot the only other drinks (2 beers) another 20 min before they even took our order. 45 min before we got our food and it was not very warm
JESSE is AMAZING!!!
Eric is great!!!
Traci is AWESOME!!
RYAN is a Stud!!!
We looked the place up
Wheelchair user, went Sunday Football Games, perfect place to watch the games, drink & brunch specials were great. Outside smoking cigars & cigarettes. Early reservations a must a day or two ahead for Sunday Football.
The noise level was crazy. 20 minutes after ordering I was told my entree was no longer available.
40 minutes later food was served that was not fit to eat. Overcooked and cold.
The manager apologized and we were not charged, but didn't eat and left. The manager was gracious explaining they had kitchen issues.
I'm sorry, but the food was just mediocre at best. I had the prime rib, and my daughter had the rib eye. They were both dry, and did not have much flavor. Unfortunately, they were overpriced as well. For the menu price, we should have been able to enjoy much better meals. The ambiance was nice, and the service was great! If I were looking to go to a restaurant/bar to watch a sports event and have appetizers and drinks, this would be a great place. But I would never recommend this place for a good steak. Perhaps the hamburgers are good??
One of my favorite restaurants, it's not romantic unless you choose a seculeded table somewhere outside,if you can find one.
SaddleRanch is a very busy and active place. First we had to watch football and baseball and then the televisions all turned to music videos. I am not sure of the message they are conveying. It seems so cowboy from the outside and then inside it looks cowboy, but blasts rock n roll. Strange combination.
Anyway our server John John did a great job and we enjoyed our meal.
The stake was great but the Salmond was not that good. You get a lot of food. Expensive!
Service is Good
Steak is good
Our server Tony was awesome! He kept the mimosas coming for brunch and was an overall pleasure. The food was delicious and portions were large. Would definitely come again.
Fun environment ... great food and servers were awesome
Made reservations. When we got there it was a special entertainment night. Asked about our reservation and told the reservation was for outside only. Still had a nice evening though.
Service was pretty slow. Not very attentive. Couple of the items ordered were wrong. Good was tasty but service ruined the dinner.
Love it!!! My go to date with my boyfriend! Had our first date here and now we are here all the time!
Thank you Tracy (the manager) and Karen our waitress for giving onus great service and making sure my 40th birthday was one for the books. Great food and service.
